Air springs for hauling snowmobiles on a deck

- Rick installs a LoadLifter 7500 XL™ from Air Lift on his 2020 F350 Dually. After loading two snowmobiles on the deck and two sleds in the trailer, the F350 was squatting in the back end. With the LoadLifter the truck is now sitting level and the headlights are pointing in the right direction.
If you're new to our channel, we post videos about snowmobile tuning. Lots of tips and tricks for maintaining and modifying your sled and sled trailer. Mostly just DIY sled stuff for people who like to get their hands dirty or tinker in their garage.

I made the Mistake of Tee’ing my air bags together with one fill point. Makes it Super tippy in a turn, especially with two sleds on my Deck. As soon as I got back From Blue River I changed it to one fill line each!

Couldn’t agree more with adding airbags to the suspension. 3 years ago my wife decided to get her masters and we loaded our home into the back of a pickup (with a trailer) and drove Montana to Michigan. Returning to MT this year I installed airbags first and the truck drove, braked, and handled like it was empty. Amazing difference between the two trips as far as driving comfort.
I added the airbag kit to my Chevy 2500HD and WHAT a difference in the ride ! With 2 sleds on the Truckboss Sled Deck and 20-25# of air it leveled the truck out BUT more importantly it put pressure back on the front wheels...key in snow covered road conditions and a cross wind. The 2500 chassis carried the weight of 2 sleds but the airbags just added that little bit of needed leveling. Greatly improved the overall ride and an onboard compressor allows to adjust on the fly...

Good timing, just got my 21 F350 (single rear wheel) and looking to get a deck and air bags
I had a set of air bags on my 2018 f-150. Worked well but in northern Alberta hard to keep air in them. Eventually leak from extreme cold. Constantly had to pump them up. Now I have a 3/4 ton duramax and don’t worry about it . But air bags are great in warmer climates.

Definitely want to upgrade to the onboard compressor on my truck. Can't beat a rear sway bar for the higher center of gravity as well.

1 ton trucks are hauling less these days and 1/2 tons are hauling more.
I'v e had trouble with the center ring on the bags rusting and coming apart

Do you have a special hitch for your extension? Thanks - are you using the factory receiver on the truck and an extension to clear the trailer with the sleds on?
