8/1/22: Your instructions on how to wrestle the headlight assembly out made it fairly easy to replace the turn bulb on my 2015 Ford C-Max. As you indicate it is a fussy job which takes a bit of finesse. FYI, this repair requires two sizes of star bits: T27 and T30. These are small-ish sizes that are well suited to a 3/8" socket. To make the repair I purchased a 1/2" star bit socket set from Harbor Freight because I have a 1/2" drive but found it was a bit of overkill. Star "screws" are smaller than they appear and mine were not screwed in tight to begin with. One was already very loose because the plastic tab at the back of the headlight assembly had split at the hole for the star screw. As for the bulb, a helpful man at an auto parts store looked up my car and then lead me to where the bulbs were hanging on the shelf. However since there is and "inner" and "outer" turn bulb (really, you have to look at the car!) having you video clearly show the correct bulb made sure I didn't get the wrong one. Thank You. You are fantastic my friend. You help empower many people to assert themselves to do things they never thought they could. Bravo....... Keith, in Austin TX
Thank you. I couldn't figure out how to get the old bulb out directly. Never though of removing the whole light assembly. And your instructions made that part easy, too.
Thanks! My right turn signal began hyperflashing and I found out the bulb was burnt out. Getting the light out was definitely tedious, but the process is straightforward enough especially with the trick you showed
This vid def helped. I have big hands and the passenger side assembly you can actually get the bulb out by only loosing the assembly and pulling it out. There is enough clearance. Driver side you have to take it out lol. Thanks FORD!!
This drive is a lot easier if you just remove the two 10 mm hex head bolts that hold the front quarter panel on. It allows you to flex it away from the headlight unit and lift it out of the car easily. Put those bolts in last because he will need to tuck the headlight unit in underneath it once you change the bulb. Cheers.
Clicked the link in the video description to buy the bulb and was told by Amazon that the 3157NA is NOT the correct turn signal bulb for the CMAX. I double checked with O’Reilly auto parts and they also say it is not the correct bulb. I’m going to try the 3357/3457A. Wish me luck and double l/triple check before you buy
They forgot to mention the peg holding the top part in place. Without dislodging that (by just pulling on the top part-where the top screw was located) this is impossible. This guy in the video link below mentions it in his video and shows you where it is. But that guy removed too many screws. You only need to remove two, one in the top, one in the bottom. Good stuff otherwise. Thanks!! ua-cam.com/video/60Da-PK_Z1I/v-deo.html
All of you guys are showing how to do the LEFT SIDE. The right side is more difficult and you’re not showing how to do that and I think that’s really messed up every single one of the videos on this side does the left side because it’s easier but that’s no help for the people who have a right side light that needs to be replaced
@@johnboon5330 Typically the Right and Left is based on the point of view of the driver in the driver seat. In this case, they replaced the left side blinker bulb.
One tip from another video was to remove the two bolts from the fender behind the rear screw for the headlight. That gives the fender enough flex to make getting the rear of the light dislodged much easier,

Great video. It helped immensely. ... that little peg was my oversight and I would not have been able to do the job without that knowledge. Thanks!
I always look for videos from this channel when I am doing minor car repairs. Thanks for the content!
This was super helpful!
My dealership said the bumper had to be removed to replace this light. False! This video did the trick. New bulb in 30 minutes.
Couldn't have done it without you! Thanks so much

Hello i have a question, i Drive a 2006 Ford c max where is the Blinker Relay located?
I’ve watched how to take this light out over and over. Still can’t get it

What's the left side? The passenger or the driver side?
Amen. Please show how to remove the right headlight

I dunno, I just used this video to change the right side of my 2013 CMAX and it was the exact same process
And no they are not the same
The plug won’t come out
