For Belizeans who rely on public transportation for their daily commute, they will find the following story all too familiar. Recently, the conversation about improving public transport in Belize has been at the fore. Commuters have used the mediums available to them to express their discontent, while the Government of Belize is undertaking a process to upgrade the services currently available. But, the news has not all been welcomed, especially for bus operators with buses that are seriously outdated and unfit to be on the road. We have heard multiple sides of the discourse, and today News Five’s Paul Lopez sought to document the commuting experience from Belize City to Belmopan. Here is that report.

Improving the busses is a good idea but do so within the bugget of the owners and the passengers Rodwell be reasonable and also sensible in your decisions not everyone is getting kick backs like you're from the guys you're looking out for who didn't cast a vote for you
Blue Bird bus is better than other bus e.g.. Floralia bus...the seats SMALL cause Asians generally are small people we need American type bus more space more leg room...speak up Belizeans

I agree! It’s a shame when comparing with other countries. It’s time for an upgrade. If it’s not being push then it will never 👎 happen.
U clearly havnt been in Asia. These busses are fine. Yeah some need some new seats and some love. But if u want cheap transport this beats walking. If u want an coach with ac and tv ect ull have to pay double the fair. And an old bus has its charme also. Tourists like it. I u want to modernise the public transport u dig tunnels with maglev trains to all the city's. So in half an hour ur from pg to Mexican border or fromr San Pedro to Guatemala.
