I have a 6 speed 2023 Supra (just to preface to show I am not an auto fanboy) But I think the zo6 is actually really cool and sounds great. Not a fan at all of the c8 stingray but the z06 is quite the machine. Yes it’s auto but atleast it isn’t a hybrid right?
Agreed! And I'm very blessed to have 2 C6 Z06's with 7 liter engines and manual transmissions. One's a race car, and one is a bone stock garage queen. All black of course. Speaking of Supra, I was the idiot who sold my 100% bone stock 1998 Supra Turbo (Black with Tan interior) with only 12k miles. The car was a unicorn. I sold it 8 years to the day after I bought it for 9k more than I paid, but that car is easily a 200k car now :(
2.9, which is slow, but the launch rpm is configurable and I'll play with it after I get past the 1500 mile 2nd break in period. I was able to see 2.8 in my '21 Z51. In this run, there was a lot of tire slip at the beginning.
Man how cool would it be to have a manual variant of the z06 so it would take actual skill to drive it fast and not just smashing the gas pedal and that’s it. Still a beautiful car though
@brianhowell8117 I have 2 C6Z's in my garage, one bone stock garage queen and one 700 hp track rat, all engine. I'm lucky to have the best of both worlds. :) I've always appreciated the gearing of 61 mph in 1st and 91 in 2nd. Makes autocrossing pretty easy. 2008 Z06 race car I changed to 3.73 gears in the rear end, so it requires more shifting, and it can't put the power down on mortal tires. LOL
