Volvo Penta MD2030B Raw Water Pump Seal

Replacement of the rear water seal on the raw water pump... seal size was 12.24.70 £2.80 from my local bearing man .... parts for engines do the service kit for around £60 hope this helps someone.

Now you have a new water seal with a worn oil seal albeit the water side is higher pressure but guess what side will leak next 😳🤣 for the sake of a seal that costs a few pence it’s best practice to do both.

Did you lubricate the impeller, the chamber and the gasket with glycerol?

Yes I greased the impeller before putting the face plate on ... thanks for watching.
