Did you do that trip on one tide?
@simonsargent9514. no basically left Deganwy on an ebbing tide, so had the current helping us over. We had breakfast at anchor and started our return 3 hours after. Again, returning on a flooding tide letting the tide help us home. Thank you for watching Simon
Hi James saw you on Melody😂
@@johnandrews1954 where was I? You should have said hi lol
My late grandfather had the very same yacht in the 90s bringing back great memories of sailing out Inverkip .
I have recently viewed a Moody 38, would you consider this a good yacht for a liveaboard?
@shnboardman1 Yes, they are lovely boat. A few things to look out for are cracking on the plastic windows and hatches. Also you can hear the water slapping the Hull in the rear bedroom as it has a rounded design so the water slaps the hull
Hi, What boat checks do you do before agreeing to deliver a boat from A to B?
@shnboardman1 There's a lot of things I check. Mainly the condition of vessel. Engine checks and run to temperature. Safety equipment. Visual check on the rigging . There's a lot involved. On a few occasions I've just walked away from the job
Why did you have the engine on all the time? Looked like you had lots of wind passing Ailsa Craig.
We didn't put the sails up until just after that. Couple reasons really first time using in mast furling. So had a go when we had light. The engine wasn't on all the time. But did have the diesel generator running
@@sailingjameelah Oh I see..the boat is flying , it's the centre cockpit right?
@stephenauty2402 it is yes .. had a lot of tide to help us along
Nice Moody! Looks like the limited edition mark 2 with blue hull, white spars and leather upholstery. Rare and sought after! Very few made in early 2000s I think?
@RockyRacoon66 yeah 2001 this was made. Lovely boat
Fabulous footage, felt like I was there with you guys, what an adventure 😊x
@@jhed9520 Thank you
Yeah magic. Very good trip, The owner should be very happy 👍👍
I am so jealous of that magnificent sail. Largs to Peel. Now to watch the rest. Bloody fantastic 👍👍👍
@@Hukubob thank you for watching
I can do a lazy up wind close houl with my spinnaker alone, mind you she's a long keeler and she's made to go forward, at stern is another story. Not as fast of course but sometimes, I agree, it's not worth the hassle, is it.
Brilliant weekend thanks for the memory Eamon. Hope the boats get fixed up soon.
The main thing is that I didn't die 😂
@@sionboatguy that's great news
no club launch for yachties on conwy river ,for a while
@@bernieoldham7580 hopefully the insurance will cover it soon
12:24 What are the sides of that club launch made out of, anyway? It looks like plasterboard, but surely not! If it was a modern-looking boat, I'd guess it was some sort of veneer-faced foam board, but the thing looks far too old for that. The wood rubbing strake looks pretty dodgy, too. Effort has clearly been put into making the boat _look_ well-maintained, but I wonder if the people who painted it recently ever thought to do the prodding with screwdriver trick to find hidden rot.
@@allanmason3201 it's all wood as far as I can tell
Great and informative vid! I’ll be keeping an eye out for your clips and videos 👍👍
@@Hukubob thank you for watching
Thanks for your efforts. Good video.. no ego, just lads out having a sail.
Just got started watching. Just wanted to say that’s the cleanest moody 33 Iv ever seen.
You really need someone small to fettle that tank in, Liz Truss is doing nothing at the moment, give her a bell......
@@RayM53 I'll look her up🤣
Not even a mention after all my hard work :(
@@sionboatguy a special thank u to you
be nice not to have the smell of diesel everywhere 😝⛵
Our favourite place in IoM is port Erin. Take a mooring or anchor
I'll be sure to look it up. Thank you
Greetings from another westerly yacht owner based in Dun Laoighaire who has just subscribed having found your channel
Thank you. What westerly do you have? Thank you for subscribing.
@@sailingjameelah fulmar
Now you have a new water seal with a worn oil seal albeit the water side is higher pressure but guess what side will leak next 😳🤣 for the sake of a seal that costs a few pence it’s best practice to do both.
Thanks for your comment. Thank you for watching.
Hi, can tell where to buy the new water pomp? The name of the company who produce it? Thanks in advance
ASAP supplies or Keypart
Fucking dolphin music!🤣
And it didn't work lol
nice video .stir me into action to find my next boat .
Sailing season is coming fast.
One of the few things in Great Britain that still seems to work properly.
Thanks for this only video i can find. No thumbs were hurt during this video 😂
Thanks for watching
@@sailingjameelah it turned out to be fiddly getting it on i then hit it against the anchor worked a treat 😁
Just lookt up some data on the signet. such pretty lines. Reminds me of that tiny blonde girlfriend i had when i was younger.

Thank you so much for this video, saved dismantling the whole unit! Very helpful!
Thank you for watching I'm glad it's helped you out ... have a lovely weekend
Did you lubricate the impeller, the chamber and the gasket with glycerol?
Yes I greased the impeller before putting the face plate on ... thanks for watching.
tide would of pushed him through .how long as Jameelah had a 50 hp outboard ? .very noble of you . 🙂
oxalic acid is what you want ,better and cheaper.thats probably whats in the pot already.make sure to put gloves on
One beer will not touch the sides with you
Good point
Loyd’s are going to be ringing the bell for that lot!
