What a relief to see straightforward information on the current version of Evernote. The print guides available are all so out of date that they make the process of getting up to speed totally puzzling, no help. This personal approach of how to get started is so much better than jumping in w/out a clue for how the system works. Thank you, Professor Pullein!
I don't use notebooks any Longer. All notes are in my inbox and I tag them with 1 or more tags. Thanks to the superb search engine of Evernote I always find the notes I need within seconds.

I'm shopping for a new way to take notes, I've been using KeepNote, which is great, but hasn't been updated since 2012. I really just need to be able to paste screenshots and have notes in a hierarchical structure, and this Evernote seems good so far for these.
Hi I started Evernote last evening for the 2nd time. I had an account almost a decade ago. Anyway I did some work last evening, but when I went back in today it was locked. Asked me to reset my password, I did I also clicked to revoke all other windows (or somn so) and I lost my work from last night. I had no idea that Evernote was trying to merge both accounts. I thought maybe someone somewhere got into it or something. The bottom line is I lost my work from last night how do I get it back?
That's an end of year clean up task for me. At the d of each year, I go in clean out everything. I wouldn't worry too much about it. All your notes are searchable regardless of where you have them stored

There could be multiple reasons why that might have happened. The best course of action would be to reach out to Evernote Support.
The new Evernote update on iOS for home has frozen my Evernote app if you have any connections please reach out and tell them
