Phil has got a lovely presence in front of the camera and explained everything perfectly. I can now happily go off to program my water timer. Thanks Phil!!
I have 6 of these timers and i must say, they've been fantastic, never let me down and very accurate. Top tip.. change batteries at the start of the summer season
I recently moved to a house that had the system already in - I was about to rip it all out and start again until I spotted Phil and his careful instructions. I now have a full understanding of the timer etc. and a happy garden. Can you clone Phil and send him to all techie videos?
Schönes Video. Viel zu kompliziertes Gerät. Die Sensorvariante mit Dämmerungsschalter kann ruckzuck in Betrieb genommen werden. Ohne viel herumspielen.
If you switch it off and then back on auto, does it remember the settings or not. And also if I want it to water my lawn every 2 days when does it start? The first day that I set it up or does it wait 2 days before watering the first time? And last but not least if I want to change the settings for auto, do I need to take the batteries out or is there an easyer way?
I have followed Phil’s instructions but the water cuts off too early, for instance, set for 180 minutes, cuts off after 60, and whatever time I set it will not run full course. Any ideas and thanks in advance
Hi, I have followed Phil’s instructions but the water cuts off much earlier than the time I have selected, for instance, today I selected 180 minutes and the water cut off after 60 minutes, any ideas and thanks in advance
hi, i have the 2700 ac plus and set the timer to 5 minutes which it cycles through with no problems but if i then want to set it for another period of time it won't work(it beeps) i have tried waiting 5 minutes but the only solution seems to be remove the batteries which i guess clears the electronics....any idea? thanks
Hi i got 2 of these.. and suddenly, both are like dead... i put new batteries on and tried to set the time using teh S key..but nothing.. like if both are dead.. i replaced the batteries to.. but no success... any help? thx!
Ensure you are using LR14 or size C batteries and that they are inserted the right way round in the battery compartment. Turn the Dial from manual to auto manual. The timer should open and close and the motor can be heard whirring If it does not and all the above items are OK then the timer is fault and will need to be replaced. If the motor works OK then process as follows: turn the dial to 1 on the innermost dial now press the clock (top button) - should get a beep now press the S button - should get a beep now press the green button - should get a beep now turn the dial to run time of 1 min (on outer dial near to the 3 o'clock position) on the blue scale now press the blue button - should get a beep finally turn the dial to the auto position. The timer should now open and then, after one minute close again. If this is OK the timer is working properly and the cause is probably that you haven't set it up properly. For instance if you asked it to water at 6am in the morning, nothing will happen till then. Just try checking the above and see if its OK. let me know if there is still a problem. Thank you, Hozelock
have sussed it at long last.......set dial marker to how many minutes you want it to run for then you have to push EVERY button from the top to the bottom then turn the dial to auto and it will run for the amount of time chosen. the instructions said you don't have to change any settings so i assumed you set dial, pressed the blue button and switched to auto and it would work.......................TOO EASY!!!!! LOL
Probably the clearest set of instructions for something that looks overly complicated! Cheers!
Thanks Phil, my annual visit to remind myself how to do it.
Thanks Phil! Great video really easy to understand and program.

The lettering had worn off my buttons but now I know what they do - video is so much better than a PDF of instructions, thanks Phil!
Fantastic little video. lost my instructions years ago and so every spring I watch Phil. Perfect and so easy, well done and Job done!
Job done indeedy by gum .. straight to the point, good presentation.. I like the mild understandable accent..
Clear and to the point.
Thanks, I also lost my instructions but Phil is clearer anyway
