Had the G410 for a few years. This year I replaced it with the G430 10K max after a fitting. After 3 month I can say the 10K is by far the best driver I ever had! Straight. Forgiving. And very important: I trust this driver most, can hit it with my maximal Speed!
Having watched 7-8 initial impression videos today and many more in recent weeks, I have to say that I felt this was the most honest initial review I’ve seen this cycle. I say that because I heard minimal marketing speak yet the benefits of the relevant new tech, I heard your expectations as an equipment enthusiast but more importantly your expectations as a Ping fan, I saw performance vs. your expectations, and I saw a tempered enthusiasm in light of the price in an already competitive Ping lineup. Cheers, Matt, well done as always - mean that.
Perfectly simple to me. Good review Matt. This, now sits perfectly in the middle between the max and lst. Less spin than the max and more forgiving than the LST. Great for a guy like me who doesnt have the swing speed and strike consistency required to get the most out of the LST, but desire lower spin than they can dial the max in for. It is about optimizing options and fitting more golfers. I love it. Definitely on my hit list!
Great review again Matt. So nice to see that you test it on course and in studio. Nothing beats real life, so to speak.
Thanks Matt , again honest review of Ping’s latest offering, think they may have missed a trick with their pricing though , especially with the new Taylor made one . I’ll go hit em both to see for myself . Keep up the great work and I will obviously STAY subscribed.
My G410 driver head just flew off the shaft at the range today. Had a good run, time to upgrade!
I tried the 10k I couldn't stand it. It was not consistent for me. I will keep my 425 LST. 9 degree Tensei Orange Shaft stiff. Love it.
Have the same club and shaft as you.
great review Matt I think this years Driver lineup is gonna very competitive across the board will be tough to choose which brand to go with just wish the prices were not so outlandish 800-900 canadian for a driver is getting pretty steep cheers all from Vulcan Canada

Very honest review Matt
Great review Matt. Slightly more forgiveness and distance vs the G430 Max is a pretty big deal. I suspect for the vast majority of players and subscribers there may be bigger gains given we’re not as long nor as accurate with strike as you. Given the spins stays low and you haven’t lost distance it feels like it’s worth a try! I swing quite quick (117) but am still a bit shotgun with where on the face, and struggle with higher spin numbers - this could be for me, although I’ll be getting a fitting😅
Matt was simply saying it’s not any better than the 430, and not worth the price increase. Some people come out and say it, others are more subtle. Good review.
Most other reviewers have seen a good bit of difference in distance due to lower spin. It sits perfect between the LST and Max. Obviously is player dependant. I certainly won’t be swapping out my 430 Max for this tho

Wow, I truly think the people that have left unfavourable comments must work for another manufacturer. Matt is honest in my opinion and i wish i could afford a driver like this but I'm happy to see the reviews and dream. Whats the fu-ken use of bombing a driver if it's in water, trees, hazards etc. Matt in my humble opinion is honest and not taking sides. If he was the Mizuno driver would be the one he recommends. So seriously if you have nothing nice to say , Pi-s off. Stay safe Pete from Australia

where did you get the frames for the flags in the background? they look stunning.
Did not plan to buy it, but my G430 Max has a crack in th ebottom, probably a stone-contact. So I had to buy a new head anyways (I will keep my Ventus blue). I ordered the 10k, as I think if I have to go new, I will get the latest. Looking forward to trying it out.

That seems pretty expensive Matt for not a huge difference, I've got a 9* g430 max with a blue velocore, nothings taking that out of the bag for now....love the vids 👍👍
Another great review Mat as always but for me I'll be sticking with the G430 max doesn't really warrant another big money splash out for me

Matt, I have the G430 Max, bought just 4 months ago. What is the MOI of that club? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Is the 10k longer or more forgiving in your view. I would love to see a head to head comparison video between old and new versions of clubs from Manufacturers, like Qi10 v Stealth 2 and Paradym v Paradym Smoke too

My only issue is timing. I special ordered a G430 LST this past summer. Waited for 2 months to get it. I've had it in the bag and actually playing with it for about 3 months. It was a huge upgrade from my G400 LST. I wish I would have known about this driver before. I probably would have waited for it. I absolutely love my lst but if I could keep the spin down and get a little more forgiveness, i would have taken it.

I think I may be sold and may look into this later this year. I was fit for a G425 LST two years ago as a beginner. The fitter was an absolute tool and now I know it to have been a catastrophic mistake. I've tried the g430 max and it was definitely more forgiving but on the good hits I'm giving up 20 yards. This is a fascinating proposition to potentially keep the distance but not be punished as much when I toe it. Which let's face it, it half of my drives I hit off the toe.
i can't believe a fitter would put a beginner in a low-spin driver. Those are usually for low-handicap golfers.
@jerryjohnson9531 I struggled off the tee for two or more years. Just two way misses, whole lot. Got fitted for a qi10 last month, difference is unbelievable. I mean we can all still hit bad shots but way more consistent
I’m seeing $600 at my local sporting goods store here in the USA. At $400 I’d buy it, at $500 I’d seriously think about it, at $600 I just can’t. Would love to have one though. Maybe in a couple years. ⛳️
Please gives us the dispersion and consistency, just as important as distance.

good review but you have to remember most of us are not going from the 430 to the 430 10k lol im just got fitted for it and i was coming from a taylormade m6 haha so something pretty old and shitty
G430 MAX HL Vs G430 10k - same weight? would G430 (10k) suits people with slower swing?
Nice review Matt. The 10k sounds like a lot of marketing hogwash to me. I wonder what the numbers are on their existing drivers? Hopefully, this will drive the prices of the existing G430 range downwards thereby making a great driver more affordable.
Hey like the review and have very similar thoughts with ping as a whole.. quick question.. what specifically were the distance and ball speed differences between the new 10k vs the 430 max..

Impressive but with Taylormade being $100 cheaper I am skipping the Ping fitting and going with Taylormade or Callaway. When is your cobra video coming out? Never hit one but see fitting schedule up.

Im sure its a great driver but why are they shouting about 10k moi when they even say in the latest marketing that 10k was suppassed by the G400 5years ago "eclipsing the 10,000 g-cm2 combined moment of inertia threshold first surpassed by the G400 MAX five years earlier"
I learned today that if you're not working on your game, no equipment will be forgiven. I tried all the Maxes from different brands and they all showed zero improvement from my 15+ y/o driver.
Was it any longer than your 430 max ?
Can't see myself parting with my g430 LST for the sake of 900 MOI. I'll keep the smaller head that I like.
Which metric shows how far off target each drive is?

the MAX, total MOI pushes a record 10,000, largely due to a 26-gram tungsten movable weight that shifts the CG lower and farther back and can be secured in the Neutral, Draw or Fade setting. there you go get it mate do some research it's all out there 👍
I play a G425. Can't imagine replacing it.
Also have the 425, absolutely love it. I've tried many different drivers and the 425 outplays them all.. consistent, consistent, consistent
Got G425 with Senior Altadistanza shaft (swing speed is around 82mph): D-5W-7W-9W
been changig my FW woods (5W 7w & 9W) to go G430HL with 35g altaquick shaft and very very happy W/ 'em

425 max is in my bag and not coming out anytime soon.
I couldn't get any more out the G430 over the G425 both max versions, only thing was 430 was quieter
not sure if there is a big enough advantage with 2024 models of drivers to make me swap? and shell out £500

Had a go with the Titeleist Tsr that is very good and quiet!

these need testing with a good ball striker off about 13. that's surly where these are aimed.

Not quite. Torque is how much force the object that is turning has. MOI is the force required to overcome inertial rotational mass to make it start turning from rest.
love the reviews as always Matt, but I gotta say I for once don't agree with you on the price in store point. I've been in a number of local golf stores and pga shops recently and found prices of even the older stock is absurdly high before all this new stuff comes out. I don't know if it's a last minute boost in price before everything goes down for the new stuff, but I somehow don't see stores reducing their prices from the rrp by much if at all. They haven't in the past, and most certainly won't now in an age where nobody cares about the public's pockets
I live in Canada the retail price is 800 CND. I don’t know any person who will pay that for one club. I’m afraid pin may have priced themselves out of the average golfers bag.
I mean it’s ment to be inbetween the lst and 430 max. So not more forgiving than the 430 max, but as forgiving and with less spin. So better for faster players.

I bought G400 about a year ago on ebay. Mint or brand new, $150.00. Very solid, only 445cc. I would say middle for forgiveness and maybe 5 or 10 yards shorter than these new models. But I like the sound and solidness, maybe change shaft this year to see if I can improve on these issues. Can't go wrong with Ping, but if you're just looking for distance I think other drivers are longer.
£599 is far too high when you can get a g430 max for way cheaper, shame because I would of been interested but for the price I’m going to go for g430 max instead
I tried it compared it with mY 410 Ping and I like mine better
My Ping G425 max is great and not in need of replacement. I loved my Ping G30 and G400 drivers and missed the G410 because the older G400 was so good.

MATT NO. My golf mate has one ping driver and last year 2023 he started hitting it 20 yards further , I am not sure of model other than ping and its 15 years if not older , I bought one last year but so called fitters stuck a woman's shaft in it , it was terrible, it was like trying to hit a golfball with a fish holding its tail .yes alive , I currently have the ROGUE D but now I've know which is the best driver for me only lasted a year but MAVRIK SUB ZERO 9° D super driver it fit me like a glove but a crack in shaft under grip and delay inside the head so it seemed , well 210 rounds last year with it.

Kilograms metres squared is the SI unit for moment of inertia. It’s basically a measure of how much force is required to overcome the inertia of the object to make it start turning around a fixed axis from rest. To be honest the 10,000 is a nonsense. You don’t just add up all MOIs of an object to get a total. Each rotation point around a fixed axis has its own MOI measurement
@@dmc3067 what the hell is a kilogram? Gotta dumb it down for the Americans, we measure things with realistic units. Like if you have a big hole, how many semi trucks can fit in it

The Ping publicilty about their 10 K drivers is false and misleading which in some contries as France, for example, is publicity is a criminal offense that can lead to very heavy penalties, .
Talking about a 10000 g-cm² MOI, when it is in fact the addition of two MOI , is undoubtely a lie , and as Tom Wishon explained, the supposedly fabulous effect of this combined MOI is misleading for the great majority of golfers
Is it the best Ping driver ever? take it and that last one round 36 holes and lets see if its better than the last one. Hitting 300 yards plus on a sim doesn't show if it is???

Marketing bullshit as it will be no better than the last release. Manufacturers think that club golfers are idiots, I guess a lot are otherwise nobody would buy them at these stupid prices
How about some real world benefits instead of sales marketing? Play your usual eighteen hole round but hit two drives on each par 4 and par 5 with your current gamer and the new driver. Then see if the new driver found more fairways than the old driver and if there was any significant gain in distance. Anything less than six yards is not a half club more distance.

The 10k hype is pretty dumb. Marketing hype of 2024. If you need big game improvement irons then yeah I’d try this driver but for anyone that can deliver a decent swing, any of the other drivers are more than forgiving enough. A club isn’t going to make you a better driver and a club like this doesn’t help you groove your swing cuz there is little feedback. You want bad shots and feel so you know what you did wrong.
£599 is $760 NOT $650........total rip off

My comment is it's very pricey.
Ping drivers sound horrendous which stops me from buying. The costs are getting ridiculous, elitist crap! Its the nob on the other end that is the problem 99% of the time, this is not the holy grail, learn how to hit a ball!
Again, Ping takes first place for the ugliest driver ever made.
I'm sorry Matt but I expect that a lot of us are interested in how much better it is than the G400 Max (yes, I know, it'll sound better, but......). Sorry, I'm going to unsubscribe. I prefer "honesty" rather than "smoke blowing" (yet again). I thought that you were different. I'm disappointed!!!
They all seem to do a review first then 1-2 weeks later the comparison videos will come out .
However will he manage with one less subscriber, jeez not one of the big youtubers have made direct comparisons (peter finch mentioned it) but none of them have one so how the hell is he going to be able to tell anyone how this one performs against that one. P.s. this isn't an airport you don't have to announce your departure lol

I never can afford a brand new driver so maybe in 5 years this will hit my bag. Looks like a solid performance from @pinggolf

This is dilemma them when the G400 Max released.. G400 users were pissed that the "best model" was released right after everyone just got the g400.
