I should have mentioned in the video: sparing bosses is easier done once you're experienced with the fight and once you can quickly repeat the run to the boss via shortcut if you screw it up, so I recommend waiting to spare bosses in your second run through of game.
@@cloudshifter nobody ever tried, but if you delete your save data or just start the game on a fresh account, the option is there, just nobody thinks to do it because 99% of people will hit the button prompts to just finish the boss fight as soon as it shows up
@@cloudshifter thats literally the only way to get the spare option to show up is to destroy their structure on phase 2, wait for them to recover, then destroy it again, that's exactly how the spare mechanic works
Crazy how much easier the bosses seemed the second time around. Even with sparing them. This game does a great job of making you learn the game. Don’t think the experience would be the same if I didn’t go through all the struggling and frustration of my first playthrough. Great game. Goaty so far. But that can most likely change lol
@@DieSama95 the third one phase one is the hardest, I need to learn her attack patterns when she hits high or low. I'm better now but she still kicks my ass a couple times. Yang the last boss does a lot of damage, but has easy attack patterns.
I gained muscle memory by looking at the red icon to press both buttons for the finisher and I instant press them lol Have to reset a couple of runs because a keep killing them instantly
@@jakob31448 kuroki combo attack when dashing to the character. dodge that dash and she will attack, standard parry won't take damage but if it's new you should parry the 2nd hit and the last kick. because these 2 attacks are using legs. Sean is simpler, just block. If the bar is almost full, switch to dodge and relax to drop. Note that when fighting Kuroki, you should limit your attack when she does combos, because when attacking she will fly away and not perform the final kick.
It’s so hard to not end up killing them because I’m so used to dodging some of those faster attacks. It’s crazy how different I play this game compared to how I first started. It feels amazing and I bought this game with the goal I was going to do everything to master it.
When you play this at first you want to destroy the bosses not just because of the story, but also because of how hard the game is. At some point you get so good at the game you want to spare them, because you almost pity them.
Wow.....that deep for the game to do. They did a amazing job of setting the story and having you to have your revenge.....and you stick to it. Its a nice message that tells that revenge can blind anyone to hatred. This games is amazing in its gameplay and theme.
I always hated the whole "revenge is bad" cliche. It's over used and not everyone who seeks revenge feels regret and hatred after the seek it. Watch Dogs is a perfect example of this, at the end of the game the protagonist says "I'm supposed to feel empty, but I don't, I feel like I can breathe again". I get what Sifu was going for, but I'm only sparing the bosses once for the trophies, after that I'm gonna kill them everytime.
Also it's pretty stupid how you can spare the people that plotter against and kill your father, yet you kill random guards that had nothing to do with it. Another example of why the whole "rEvEnGe BaD" cliche is stupid.
It would be cool if after sparing the bosses you just see them at your place chilling or sparring with each other or something, imagine the witty banter.

Read the same article and almost actually did it. Managed to get 3 bosses just with parry, but for some reason the spare option didn't pop up with the 4 boss(CEO) so I looked up for a guide I saw you could actually hit them. I spent like 15 minutes parrying her crap for nothing lol

It also sends the message to the opponent that they could have killed them twice over already, but chose not to, so what's to say it won't happen a third time? It gives the boss an incentive to accept defeat instead of continuing to fight.

I've posted guides to the bosses and I'll finish posting videos on sparing them today. I haven't narrated the videos on sparing them as they're basically the exact same strategy with only a little exception which will be pretty obvious in the videos where I spare them. Basically upgrade structure regain/structure reserve/parry impact as your game upgrade priorities, then parry and only use light attacks on bosses to end up being able to spare them. Same approach to every fight just about.

For people that still don’t know the whole point, In order to show mercy, you have to break the bosses structure 2 times. But the reason why you need to parry is because you cannot cause too much damage or else the boss will probably die. leaving you with no option but to kill.
I find the flowing claw to be absolutely broken. Literally just spam that and it'll dodge attacks while setting up a combo that eats their poise. There have even been instances where I beat them before their structure even breaks
Our character is supposed to represent the Yin (atleast that's how i view it), while Yang represents the Yang (oh you don't say it), in evil, there's still good (our character sparing the bosses) and in good there's still evil (Yang killing his sifu and stealing the techniques from the dojo and using it to help people)
The first time I fought the boss he killed the second time I was age 75 but after lowering it to age 32 I went through the rest of the game and when I went back to reduce my age again because I was struggling he was much much easier that I beat the whole level deathless the game nailed progressive learning as at the start you just block and take the damage to your structure but after that the only way you will survive is by learning to parry and dodge attacks which in my opinion is so satisfying when you dodge the flury of attacks from the boss
Time your block with the attack rather than holding block. Make sure you have have parry impact upgraded (I show the best upgrade path in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/LlMFWJuVUtU/v-deo.html)

@@gabrielquintanilla7118 grind the first level, so long as you have a 5x for every enemy you beat you can get the first two there and then the 3rd in the club, taunting and cancelling with dash is your best friend.

The hardest part of my second play through is to not accidentally kill then when their health gets low.
Max out parry impact, it's by far the easiest way.

I’ve tried 5 times on the first boss flawlessly and it won’t give me the spare button and idea why
I needed around 50 tries to beat Yang the first time. Now it became relativelly easy.

When you're going for the sparing run prioritize parry impact at the statues.
