I am re-commenting on this video as my daughter is out of school for two weeks due to a Covid case in the class, and I heard Mike call out my name in the intro from the original airing. Feeling like a mini time in quarantine currently and felt that it was time to rewatch all of them.
My friend, I bet you didn't know it, but you did a playlist full with almost all of my favorite MxPx songs... I have goosebumps while I'm listening each song, traveling in time. So many good memories brought alive by you. So THANK YOU by the bottom of my heart. You just made my quarantine special.
2003 - heard "play it loud" on SSX3 for the PS2 2004-2019 - nothing 2020 - heard worries, checked out a few more songs, got hooked and went through the entire catolouge. Love it all, gutted i've been missing out for so long. Here's to that feeling of discovering a new favourite!
listened to you guys since the 90's... These songs bring back so many memories, thank you I remember playing in a garage with my buddies covering these songs... "doing time" was def one of our favorites man
I wonder if musicians understand how much these type things help us get through a long period. I suspect the ones really struggling to do their part don’t have music they lean in. Thank you!
So I've probably played Let's Ride 4 dozen times on my acoustic along with this version in the last few weeks. My 4 and 8 yo girls know all the words and run around the kitchen singing and dancing and shaking their arms in the air jamming out. My wife likes it but still rolls her eyes at how often it's played... Yeah. This is one of my all-time favorite songs. Awesome, man.
I loved watching this thanx for playing these songs and putting it on youtube. I’m watching this thinking wow, mxpx has been a big part of my life for 21 years now. I was 15 years old when a friend first got me into mxpx and I’m 36 now. My first ever concert was mxpx at The Birch Hill in NJ in I think it was April 1998 or 1999 with Fan Mail and Shades Apart. Keep rockin, people appreciate it more than you know.
Thanks to Mike and glad that technology allow us to see something like this. Long time fan from Colombia since the 90s..... back then i know we all maybe didnt think is possible to watch Mike and MxPx playing for the community from home. keep it up Mike Herrera and MxPx!!!
Haven't heard mxpx since high school. Ever passing moment. Perfect timing considering everything that's going makes me feel like a kid. Carefree and just wanting to sk8. 🙏🙏🙏
I love it! Thanks you for the retro feels. MxPx still brings me back to my middle school days. All the best for you and your, and thank you for your art. God bless
Mike, estou amando conhecer tuas músicas e vc é tua vida... Já conheço tua família linda, da reforma da tua nova casa. Descobri vc é não vou largar... Quero saber quando virá para o Brasil?
Hello mike hera, i'm Kresna from Lombok Indonesia, so grateful to know you, i hope you have a concert with MXPX or GoldFinger in Indonesia, and always pray Covid19 is gone in this world
Cedar Lake, Indiana Yeah, considering that when you first started making music for the world, the Internet was not being used the way it is today. Definitely pretty amazing. Thank you for the great content.
I just came across this and I love it!!! I barely know of your band except for a few songs but dude! The things you do for your fans. YOU ROCK MIKE HERRERA!
moments like these..... im not crying... youre crying.... damn man... i looked over at my kids while watching that part... you really know how to do it man. love you guys. love it.
I've looked up to you since the mid 90's man. I used to go to mxpx.com or whatever and grow my sideburns and bleach/spike my hair like you too. Thank you for being a friend! It's comforting to see you doing well still.
Listened to you guys growing up in the 90s down in California. Never got a chance to see you live. Really hoping to resolve that after this virus clears up now that I live in Seattle (well technically Lynnwood). Cheers mate, Stay Safe
cantas muy bien,no envejeces, ademas muy linda tu casa, abrazo desde Chile ,nuestra musica siempre a sido influenciada por MXPX, la mejor banda del universo
Who knew the internet was for more than throwing sh*t at each other :) . Goldfinger brought me here and in a weird way yes the 1964 version as I watched numerous clips last night of the film and today in my recommended Goldfinger Here in my bedroom, Superman and 99 Luftballons and now this. After this I am going to have to see if Dave Hause has recorded anything in quarantine. Who needs box sets when this is available.
Hey everyone, I have a question for GUITARISTS in the unlikely event someone has the answer! Q: On the original MxPx albums, Tom's guitar chord progressions mostly consist of power chords. For Mike to make these alternate acoustic guitar versions, he is replacing these power chords with more 'full' chords ie using 5 or 6 strings. How would he go about doing that? I mean if he replacing an A power chord, there are several types of A chords to choose from. How do you choose? Weird question I know but maybe someone knows what I'm on about. Thanks
Hey Mike, best greets from Bavaria. I have been met you some years ago in Salzburg/Austria. Super cool Dude. Hope to see you again 👍 All the best for you and your family. And happie eastern to the complete MxPx-Fanbase

I wonder if musicians understand how much these type things help us get through a long period. I suspect the ones really struggling to do their part don’t have music they lean in. Thank you!
