Sand is crazy good at slowing projectiles. Especially if stacked properly. Two regular size bags thick will stop large caliber rifles pretty darn well.
@ 🦋 I fell on the 17th and broke my humor bone right in half, pulled the ball out of its socket and tore my Rotorey cup. Just finally had surgery Friday. In a lot of pain but pushing through it.
Sand bags have been used for fortifying defensive positions for centuries. Many instances dating back as early as the 18th century. There is also a historical account of Mirza Jani Beg using sandbags made from boat sails to construct a makeshift fort at Unarpur, Sindh in 1592.
According to "FM 90-10 Military Operations on Urban Terrain", a properly constructed double layer sandbag wall should be basically immune to small arms fire.
Such a great video - we really thought our TCS 308 might have punched that ticket. Wonder if it would also stop Steel Core? Great words of encouragement.
Hi Scott during this video what came to mind was the old crash dummies videos they use to show on TV back in the day 😊 so does that make u 2024 version 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol i wasn't expecting to hear my name in this video 🤣 you rock brother 👍👊
Better get used to hearing your name...Your channel is gonna get large quick! Remember the little guy when you hit it big. lol
Double bagged bunkers will stop a .50 bro.
I am gonna build a hidden bunker with sand bags lol

Wow! That was awesome! Great word of encouragement too! 🥰💙👍🙏

I would argue that militaries have been onto sandbags for centuries

Banana Balistics on you tube uses sand ..practically nothing can go through sand .
it's crazy to see what it will stop.
He was using a 6” box of sand which is much smaller than a sand bag. It’s all about dispersion of energy.
It even stops meteors. The sand just transforms to glass 😂
NY Prepper sent me. Never seen your channel! Thanks for the data!
Sweet, thanks for seeing over🤜🤛

Thanks brother! I thought the 20 rounds of 5.56 would have punched through, but nope lol
@@DropItLikeItsScott - So think the wife will allow you to stack them 5 feet high around the bedroom walls?
Sand mud and dirt in general work great. Better if they’re wet

Yep, great analogy
TLDR: yes. Sand bags stop bullets.
Sand acts like a Newtonian liquid and dissipates the impact in an expanding conical pattern
Arrows from crossbow will go through
Really, I'll have to try that.
🦋🇺🇸😮oh wow. I didn’t think the pumpkin would survive 👍👍👍👍
I didn't either honestly. lol
Would be interesting for future video to see if there is less protection from dirt/soil vs sand in the bags? Thanks
Good idea🤘
