That "so sorry" in the beginning as the bikes fell like dominos had me laughing out loud. It was like a scene out of a bad comedy. 🤣 I bet you were happy to have that new shock in the back. I was thinking that looked like fun until the hill climb madness and traffic jam, and then it looked like a confused gazelle herd trying to escape a box canyon LOL. Really loved this vid by the way.
I went this year, first time ever doing a motorcycle event. Had an absolute blast, but was definitely challenging. I was right beside you at 7:02. Kudos to you guys on the tw200s.
I've recently learned about the Desert 100, it sounds fun. I thought if I went it would just be the ADV course, but you went out with the crowd! Nice job running it on the TW200. I was also impressed with your riding chops at the TDUBSFEST.
Nice sagebrush harvester. Knock em over! Yes! hahah. Only if you had the milkcrate and the streamers installed... and the bell. You are nailing those technicals and seeing the turd wagon passing all those ponies. Hahah If that's the same cheap scammazon phone mount I gave you, gonna have to update the review man! Great Video Double D!
That guy on the big KTM was killin it. It's always cool seeing people ride the bigger bikes like a dirtbike. Hit up the desert 100 next year on the KLX? I'm interested too!
It's on the list of my "someday" events... @DSA We can meet in North Dakota somewhere and carpool the rest of the way to it if I'm not dead by the time i have time...
Great video. I was watching all the 2-strokes and big bikes around you just.... sitting. All that power isn't worth squat if you're not moving. And the TW can thread a lot of needles and it's RELIABLE. I really enjoyed this one. Makes me want to try running one of these races on something truly ridiculous - like a scooter. That would be fun!
Skill is definitely a huge factor in scenarios like this for sure. It did get old quick with the TW because it does not enjoy whoops even with the updated suspension. The low end torque was nice though for sure on the hillclimbs. That would be awesome to see someone run a scooter in an event like that lol or at least a dual sport run.
I would definitely do an event like that on a scooter haha I have had several Scooters I have a Tw200 but my last bike was a 150cc scooter that I had converted to be more off road oriented and It was honestly way more capable than you'd think, I ran Maxxis M6024 Dual sport tires they're a soft compound knobby that handles amazing on tarmac and on really every surface I even took that scooter mudding haha! they handle really good with the weight so low and it was about half the weight of the Tw200 my main advice would be if you have a CVT bring an extra belt and build some type of skid plate/case guards for it. I took mine on some crazy trails and the only thing it ever struggled with was The CVT getting hot in slow areas uphill. I always would use some flexible basically shopvac hose and set it up as a ram air cooler for the cvt and it worked well. If I was to get another scooter for off road I would go for a Zuma 125 or a Ruckus and the clones for both the Zuma and Ruckus aren't bad they just require more attention and have less throttle response using carbs instead of fuel injection. Otherwise they're not bad for a fifth the price.
I see just small brush stop you before you even got started by getting caught in rear brake pedal. Get small diameter steel cable, run from front lower frame to brake pedal and cremp ends. Do the same on foot shift lever. This will aid in not allowing brush, sticks, etc. from causing brake & shift levers damage & maybe stopping your ride. Small Cable Can Be Uptain A Fishing Shop Dealing With Salt Water Tackle. I'am 65, Still Riding, Use To MX & Hare Scrambles Race. That's What This Wild So Called Race Reminds Me Of. Godspeed Your Journeys, Mr.T
hey man really enjoyed this video and I've been goin through your guys vids cause ill be buying my first tw200 soon, what music is in the background at @15:13
That looks fun except for the traffic jams and of course the broken footpeg. The dude on the GS makes me think my KLR could run that course with the right rider. Maybe not me 😂
Good stuff DD. The Turdwagon did well. 9:25 - The upside down bike. Here is a first person view of the incident. ua-cam.com/video/ILioDoROgh4/v-deo.html Wise decision to take the way around, it looked like absolute chaos in there.
I have no, zero, zlitch, desire to ever do anything like this. Ever. What a cluster dump demolition derby. Ever. Thanks for posting so I know something I never want to try. .
Well, ya know the weak spot for next year. Beef up the peg mounts and take and extra shifter and brake pedal with you. You can fix those on the trail if need be.
Looks like the people running the race really did not know anything about large races. Leave in intervals of 25 participants 5 minutes apart for dust down vision and use race gps monitors to see every racer in course. All this is for safety and fun.
Also, I think the KLX in there would have been hell. The constantly start and stopping in the pack would have required good foot placement all the time. Sure the bike would have technically been more capable, but I bet your would have been dumping it a bit more. Especially coming to a stop in variable terrain and ruts.
TW200 gets bad fuel mileage due to low compression/running lean, bad top speed, and has slightly more power than a lawn mower but it has one thing it does better than any other bike: Hill Climb And to be stuck behind absolutely everyone at all times as you simply just want to putt putt on past must have been infuriating, both to them watching a tiny moto bike go past them, and previously you being infuriated you had to wait behind them Here's hoping when I can afford to get it as a second bike Yamaha doesn't wise up and re-label it as a "Scrambler" and double the price tag

How do you hide on a TDub out there? 😂
Dude, that fart at 11:17 has me rolling...
Yep!
@@dualsportapocalypse Part of me hopes that dude comes across this video and can have a laugh at himself...
That start… ROFL. You could be the Mr. Bean of the Moto world. 😂😂😂
The TW was doing what TWbs do! Thanks for the video!

What was you on ?

Great video! I'd swear the entire 100 miles non stop. Mostly saying "move outa my fn way".. lol😂 Loved watching this!
It's on the list of my "someday" events... @DSA We can meet in North Dakota somewhere and carpool the rest of the way to it if I'm not dead by the time i have time...
Great job and fun watch!
Dude, this needs to be an event at Tdub Fest!! The beginning of the race was the best though! 😂
What and where is tdub fest ??? I have 2 of em and would like to attend!
awesome footage!

Dude ... Awesome video! Looked like a blast. A++
Great Video !!
Killing it on the TW, great video. Thanks
DD, that's a sausagefest.
When you tipped the bikes over at the start and they domino I laughed so hard I might have peed a little.
That’s awesome!! Go TWs
That guy that went through at 17:00 minutes was flying
You rode great man. sorry about the footpeg.
HECK YEAH!!!!!
LOL how many ktm's did you pass that were kicking on the starter

Hilarious, Great times

tw200 is a little tank so true, with all the advantages and disadvantages
It's a super fun unique bike for sure lol
Good stuff DD. The Turdwagon did well.
9:25 - The upside down bike. Here is a first person view of the incident. ua-cam.com/video/ILioDoROgh4/v-deo.html Wise decision to take the way around, it looked like absolute chaos in there.
That is crazy lmao. I saw that from the back row hahaha. That's awesome you shared the POV of that
Incredible throttle response on that tw200😂😂😂😂😂
If all goes right, i'll be up there next year on my DR...
That look like fun. I’m wishing I was a younger man.
has to b fun when you pass all the ktm's and hondas w a TW. did you beep you horn as you passed them ?? i know i would have... add insult to injury.
I have no, zero, zlitch, desire to ever do anything like this. Ever. What a cluster dump demolition derby. Ever. Thanks for posting so I know something I never want to try. .
5:35 красиво едет девушка )))
Man, with that left mirror you look like you stumbled onto the race by accident, and decided to stay and show them how to do it 😄
Well, ya know the weak spot for next year. Beef up the peg mounts and take and extra shifter and brake pedal with you. You can fix those on the trail if need be.
Wasn't the shifter or footpeg this time that broke it was the spacer that is welded to the frame snapped lol. It allows the pedal to pivot.
Is it Mud Max #5 ? 🙂🙂🙂
Stock suspension?
No I got Procycle springs up front and a Cogent Rear Shock
That was a really cool race. How many hours did it take? I bet you were toast after all that!
I was out there a good 6 hours for sure. My body was so sore for week lol.
Looks like the people running the race really did not know anything about large races. Leave in intervals of 25 participants 5 minutes apart for dust down vision and use race gps monitors to see every racer in course. All this is for safety and fun.
They been running it like that for 50+ years. I guess that is what attracts people to it lol.
Aren’t the mountains so much more fun? Good video tho. 👍🏻👍🏻
Also, I think the KLX in there would have been hell. The constantly start and stopping in the pack would have required good foot placement all the time. "Sorry", jejejeje not sorry
I had fun watching this one. I definitely want to try this race. Thumb up! Peep my latest vids of cow interactions lol
My kinda pace

Technically you out classd big-time.😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well, that was one of the most asinine clusters I've ever saw.
I wouldn't call that a race
That looks fucking gay
