also not sure about the 1 hr because for that you need to actually edit audio to match the end and the start of the song a little bit otherwise it would just sound like a loop (which you can already do on youtube)

How do I listen to it on loop in UA-cam? I didn't understand. Also a looped 1 hr version sounds fine to me. But I don't know how editing works. In the end, it's your choice if you don't mind doing all that.

Raine is an absolutely wonderful character and it’s clear why Eda fell for them so hard. They’re brave even if they’re shy, sweet, caring and talented. The moment they saw the photo they stopped because they realized Eda had people to take care of, even if it got them captured as a turncoat.
Yeah I really hope we get to see more of Raine towards the end of the season.
Also I will never understand how "they" is now a singular pronoun. No disrespect to non-binary people but "they" doesn't seem right while referring to an individual.
@@ARandomStan it can be odd, but we use “they” to refer to singular people all the time in English. For example, “My coworker helped me out today.” “Oh they sound nice.” Or “I made a new friend today!” “Oh what’s their name?”
The only difference here is that Raine prefers to use these gender neutral terms instead for whatever reason. They is not an exclusively plural term.

The Owl House up until this point is upbeat and fast paced, full of riveting visuals and tunes captivating for any viewer of any age. Then all of a sudden you have this thrown in the middle of it like an interlude.
Initially intended as a rhapsody, an expression of oneself, it's twisted by the inner anguish and fear of someone who once thought themselves untouchable. Despite the colorful tone at the outset, you can really start to feel the pain with each note as the song starts as a soft melancholy before a dark undertone seeps in and then you see it take its physical shape; a light envelops the stage around Eda and Raine and suddenly a creeping darkness swallows up this new light as well as everything around it. The curse itself is the initial blame for this darkness, but it's really Eda all along, who has been pushing people away her whole life just as the darkness pushes away the light, as she begins to succumb to a new terror whose inevitability she can't escape from.
How fitting that this therapeutic expression of her soul and subsequent emotional reuniting with her loved ones is immediately followed up with the event's of Knocking On Hooty's, where she finally faces the Owl Beast head on and begins to bond with it.

Very true it's very expressive by just how it sounds how it starts off acoustic then eda gradually chimes in making it a balance between minor and major keys as if this it it this is the end which does almost happen until raine stops eda from playing when seeing the photo of her luz and king

I like you're detailed analysis on scenes, really lets you appreciate them more.
I love how fandoms can bring out the best in people while also making them use their minds. The Owl House is goofy and fun but there are also some really heart-wrenching, emotional scenes, and I love seeing people analyze them and break them down. Really, I just like boasting about the fact that enjoying a fandom doesn't make a person dumb, and I adore the owl house more than I can put into words.
The music in Owl House is beautiful and if you think otherwise you are lying to yourself.

This is honestly one of my favorite original songs to come out of a kid's show, ever. No singing, no nothing. Just a damn good, emotional piece of classical music and if you told me this came from a kid's cartoon, I would not believe you.

TOH didn't had any music that someone sang, but oh god, the ones we got are so amazing.
I love Eda's Requiem specially, i just love it, how emotional it is (well, it's almost obvious that it were going to be emotional, since Eda was almost killing everything around her with her curse, while Raine discovers that she has a family so-), and the Outro song, as it gives me, somehow, nostalgia.
Well, farewell The Owl House, I hope this show ressurects in a book or in a comic-novela (forgot what it is called), see you next time in The Owl House! Hope we never forget your beloved characters and the whole story of this show and what's behind it...

@@Nai-qk4vp If s3 hadn't been sliced so badly by disney I think they would have. But in ~100 mins of content that s3 has now there is barely any time for the story which already has a lot to complete. It might even be that they confess but one of them has to sacrifice themselves to save others
@@ARandomStan In that case. Perhaps they do get together but we see that during a timeskip at the very end of the show instead of a big kiss moment. Maybe they hold hands one time before that, kind of like Olivia and Yunan in Amphibia. And then we see them together in the end.
I am sure of one thing. Eda will survive. Her journey of embracing and accepting her curse-which can be read as both a disability as well as a chronic illness-would be severly undermined if she died. The "only hapoy ending for a disabled character is a cure or death" a trope I despise, especially as someone with a chronic ilness myself.
Now this is just me spitballing here, but I'm thinking somehow they figure a way to remove everyone's sigils. But the curse isn't cured. Rather as they grow to understand it better, Eda and Lilith find a treatment that allows them to perform magic again, but they still need to make adaptations and follow this treatment regularly. An aprimoration of the elixir she had before, born from research out of a renaissance of wild magic, no longer shackled by the coven system.
Also, it would be super cool if Alador made her a prosthetic arm full of gadgets and equipment.
Idk why this song hits me as hard as it does.

This is a Requiem because the song was intended to kill Eda. Eda was ready to commit suicide, letting herself be consumed by her curse, in order to defeat who she thought were loyal servants to the Emperor, save the world from his plans AND die so she wouldn't face she felt useless
