    I really love this mindset, slowly improving everything around you. Also such containers that just make you happy are so precious. It's the simple things in life

    The baby brush for exfoliating I genius. Would you ever consider a tutorial or on how you cut it so cleanly?

    It always makes me happy watching Klaire's videos since pretty much all other UA-camrs I watch are American and will say "oh I got this at Target". But Klaire will mention Matalan or Tk Maxx and I'll be like "Aha! I know that place!"

    Ever since I watched your videos from 2011-2012ish, you and Michelle Phan were my favorite make up artists before UA-cam became more of a career platform! Keep it up, love the content!

    I love everything about this video. It’s just lovely to hear you speak and see the progress you’re making with the house. These videos also make me consider things I haven’t considered before about efficiency and sustainability, so thank you so much for that😊

    Kind of an odd thing to say I suppose, but I found the sound of the saw in the background really endearing, knowing that it´s your husband cutting up wood for you :) Your videos are such a huge inspiration to me!

    I love these informal, relaxing videos as well. It's really interesting to see your thought process and how you tackle projects. My brain is similar to yours in that I have an "out of sight, out of mind" relationship with my belongings where I will absolutely forget about clothes that are tucked in the side of my wardrobe (it always bugs me when closets don't open all the way like that!) but visual clutter can be overstimulating and create stress. So I need to keep my belongings easily visible and accessible, but I also need them to be organized in a logical way that is easy to upkeep and not prone to entropy and chaos. Basically, I get a lot of value from just getting to hear you explain yourself and your thought process, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your content and coming back to videos like these for fresh inspiration.

    Blush is one of my favourite perfumes, my aunt gave me a bottle of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle when I was younger and I remember completely falling in love with the scent.
    As you can imagine though, I did not love the price one bit, while randomly testing some perfumes from a pop up shop I found it and it smelled almost exactly the same to me, it’s become my go to, it’s a beautiful scent and I’m glad you were able to find it too!

    Are you sitting on the floor when using the vanity? Doesn't that get uncomfortable or cold in the winter?
    Sorry if it's a dumb question.. :D

    I love the idea of the bench! A mirror solution for the lid could be to put the mirror on hinges with a small chain at the bottom of the frame so it swings out just as far as you want it

  • @viabrus8609
    @viabrus8609 4 роки тому +1

    For the mirror inside, you could always put it on an extended hinge so that you can adjust the angle of it as you need. I'm thinking kind of like those round magnifying mirrors at hotels. At least then you don't have to replace the hinges and still are able to do what you originally planned with it.

    Love the ideas you have for your vanity with the sliding compartments! As for the mirror in the ottoman, would an angled mirror work (perhaps one that you have hinge forward or even fix the mirror at an angle already using something like a wooden slab cut at an angle)?

    • @thatissosf
      @thatissosf 4 роки тому

      That’s what I was thinking, too. If the mirror was attached at the top with a hinge and then there was a clasp at the bottom to hold it flush against the ottoman lid. Unclasp the bottom and the mirror could hang down straight!

    if the top of the bench opened up completely you could actually put a mirror inside on the top part and make it a full on vanity. you would have to sit on the floor but it could definitely work.

    So if you use your ottoman as a vanity, where do you seat? On the ground?

    • @KlairedeLysOfficial
      @KlairedeLysOfficial  4 роки тому +4

      On the ground. I used to do all my drawing and writing sitting on the floor (I found it much better for my spine) though I might get one of those woven Japanese floor poofs at some point.

  • @ChampagneDance

    Why not hang a mirror on a hinge that you can pull out a bit so that it's straight? Not sure how you'd do that but it might work! Maybe if the hinge was tight enough you would need another mechanism. I'm just concerned about the mirror flopping into your stuff once you've shut it..
