      @@9melissal I think maybe what they meant by that is a video with tips and tricks to begin thrifting (for example:the best places,what to look for when you're searching for clothes/furniture etc,when to go shopping to make sure you'll get the best deals, things like that).

    My oldest is very very tall for his age and has always been. When he was a year old, if he went on his tippy toes, he could almost turn a doorknob. Needless to say we had to start baby proofing the doors. We got ours at Target, they just clip on the doorknobs and he's almost four and hasn't figured it out yet. :) Proper name is "Door Knob Safety Covers" They are kind of ugly, but they are really really helpful. We live in a high turn over area where people are constantly moving in and out, so people just put amazing things on the curb for trash! We got a practically brand new high chair, two dressers, a coffee table (needs a wee sand and stain) a costume shelving unit (tag was on the back) an Ikea shoe holder, a huge mirror in the perfect size we were looking for, a ton of wood that we use for projects, a garage table, I could literally go on and it was all free. Most of my kiddos clothes before about 2T, were from a free thrift store, which we donate back when they grew out of them. It's really funny because my husband used to turn his nose up at thrift stores and curb side finds until he realized how much money it was saving us and just how truly wasteful our neighbors could be. Lastly, I super loved and enjoyed this, it was a great video and it was lots of fun to see the loved and thrifted items you have :)

    I always find that I appreciate something more when it's thrifted/discounted. Even more when you fix it up as well. It give the item a story and has love put into it

    It's so commendable that how subtly and beautifully you have given personal touch to your channel. And that channel art is the show stopper.

    I would actually like to see if clothes are made well. Could you make a video about it? I hate buying clothes and having them fall apart not long after.

    Does anyone have any tips on thrifting?
    So far my only guidance is to try and look for the good quality gems but that’s about it lol and that’s obvious. I don’t know how to go about this

      You're right! She calls him "potato" to avoid having his name on the internet

    • @ciaracooper6563
      @ciaracooper6563 4 роки тому +3

      It isn't his real name lol. I think it is a way of maintaining as much privacy as possible. Potato refers to her firstborn son, and then when she has her second she will probably choose another pet name. So instead of saying "my firstborn" or "my second born" Potato means everyone knows who is being spoken of :)

    You never look in the lens but always in the viewfinder. Is there a special reason for this? It feels a little impersonal

    • @KlairedeLysOfficial
      @KlairedeLysOfficial  4 роки тому +18

      I have one eye which is weaker than the other. If I look at the lense I go slightly cross-eyed.
