The Plant City Experience… | 6/19/24

This was definitely an interesting trip…
I decided to do a full day of railfanning at the Plant City Train Viewing Platform, since I was in the area, and it definitely had its moments.
Firstly, the amount of trains was kind of disappointing, since I was initially told there would be way more.
Secondly, there was a very “interesting” crowd of railfans that were a mix of cool, weird, and downright obnoxious (most of them were younger than me, so that probably explains it).
Thirdly, the weather was pretty bipolar (as it usually is for Florida), but had some amazing temperatures throughout.
And Lastly, the mix of foamers, no Ethanol train that was supposed to run, utter stupidity, and just meh captures kinda made this trip suck a little. I did get to see my first leading MAC, and got to see ‪@PolkRailProductions‬ for Amtrak 91.
Hope you guys enjoy this interesting video! And just wanna make it clear, Plant City is an overall great place, but if you want tons of action, I would suggest Lakeland instead…

A shame the M603 and M604 got abolished again recently. Nice catches. Lakeland is my favorite spot to railfan in Florida.

Yeaah, i heard about M603 and M604🥲. Lakeland is definitely a great place to railfan, tons of action there
