Important part you failed to mention is that vast majority of patients with back pain including herniated discs with sciatica get better by themselves within weeks . They rarely need MRI or surgical intervention unless intolerable pain, weakness or cauda equina syndrome???
Really?? It's been 10 days for me ..I think it was dehydration.. it's just in my lower back and I feel it when I lay down on my side..I hate it .. gets me scared I did permanent damage. Never had this ever
@@mechanismmalfunction3822 I'm not bad. I get this tightness so I'm going to a chiro to see what it could be but it's better over time but not 100 percent
Isn't there any other pains that happen. My Osteopath can't work out what's wrong with my back, but she thinks I could have a herniated disc..... but whenever I look up symptoms of herniated discs the only symptoms mentioned a sciatica..... what if I don't have sciatica, but I have other muscular pains/inflammation/aches/tightness, especially at night when sleeping - specifically after 4-5 hours of sleep..... could this still be a herniated disc?
The lower lumbar muscles become weakened and the blunt of it can felt become more stiff. Pilates especially lower hip lifts helps for stiffness however it will punish you the day after. I had a double micro diskectomy 2 1/2 years ago and I'm constantly in awful pain with leg pain really bad . I've started mine now and your movements improve however the lower pain in the bad get nasty believe me. I'm hanging in with 12 hours a week and barely managing it , I'm on 900mg of gabapentin 3 times a day and sometimes more on top and zapane together. I found out last month I have another bulge again and the future is doubtful. Try Pilates, hip lifts and dog-bird Pilates ( 10 each side)
@@random_gamer_guy82 thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed description. I've recently been diagnosed with 2 disc bulges in the bottom of my back, L4 and L5 and the one below. They have me on gabapentin and zapain too,may I ask are you from the UK?
L4-5. there is a small left foraminal disc protrusion superimposed upon a diffuse disc annular bulge with mild facet arthropathy and endplate spurring. Mild left foraminal narrowing results. The central canal and right neural foramen appear patent. That’s my MRI I have my big toe and big toe areas numb sometimes does it need surgery?
Nice explanation 💐

Why lower back pain occurs during disc bulge? I understand why leg pain occurs, but why lower back stiffness?

Is this problem permanent or temporary?
Can it cause burning in both feet? Diabetes was ruled out
Absolutely, sometimes it's unbearable.
Stop any activity which is causing this or probably an exercise which might be aggravating the situation.
