    I spent £1000 more than you and had a bit more damage when it arrived on the trailer! Loved it too much so ended up fixing it just like you...

    Nice job on bringing it back up to scratch!
    You'll have a lot of fun with the little Panda 4x4, I enjoy driving my Panda 4x4 Antarctica, mine is one of the later ones with the 875cc twinair engine, only 2 cylinders but it developes more power and torque than the 4 cylinder 1.2 engine! 👍😎
    They are very practical cars especially with the poor state of some of the UK roads, very economical to run and own, lots of Italian character and style, you just don't see many around either!!
    Lots of puntos, 500s, but Pandas are very thin on the ground but not many 4x4 versions about!! 👍😎

      @@ChopsGarage I'm very impressed with the engine to be fair, I was very apprehensive before going for it. But it is very nimble, equally perfect around the city centre as it is on a good run!
      I took it camping last summer, on a long 90 mile trip, loaded up with all our tent and gear, 2 adults and our dog, it didn't feel cramped or heavy and it coped just fine, still plenty of grunt left for overtaking etc 👍😎

    Those engines if looked after will do over two hundred thousand miles.

    It's not great mileage, but buying at copart is a big no brainer 👍

    Nice little motor that!! Yeah I’ve overspent on a car before, but when you like something you just gotta fix it.

    Get yourself a Panda 100HP at some point, brilliant fun cars, though you've probably already been there.

    my guess is the rear diff is buggered so they decided to just removed the prop shaft to deactivated it.
    guessed right.

    Get yourself a replacement heat shield for the cat, before the hot weather or you will lose your radiator fan motor! Speaking from experience( 30 years fiat technician )

    167000! Wow mine has done 73000 and the propshaft centre bearing went at 600000' did you have to replace the viscose coupling?

    • @ChopsGarage
      @ChopsGarage  3 роки тому +1

      The 1.2 will last forever if looked after. No did not do coupling

    Don't think you have spent silly money to get that right. Bought an 06 for £1400 with low mileage that had been stood a while (with a window open slightly). Was hoping you would have gone through replacing the prop bearing as need to do it and nothing on the Internet to help.

      It was all in one bud di not have to replace middle bearing came with it on. You will need a puller and a press I would of thought

      It's just a junk sale copart you must be mad buying things unseen from there auctions are one thing but co part is ,mostly complete junk my car got written off and ended up there when somebody crashed into it apart from the little bit of damage the gearbox was already shot and it also constantly filled up with water and had electrical problems saying as it was a rolling jacuzzi I just accepted their offer or I'd have bought it back they will of just left it for the next lucky buyer to find

    Ok saying you should have inspected but if it was described as a 4 wheel drive car then that's what it should've been. It wasn't possible, that's basic. Don't laws apply to copart?

    Very capable vehicles are the Mk3 Panda 4x4. Ought to see what they do in the UK Panda 4x4 Group - ua-cam.com/channels/JN97IVhFll__NEOsgZ-vvw.html
    I'd disagree on the agricultural feel though. A lot better than a Defender on comfort, and the Mk3 is worlds apart to the very agricultural drive of the Mk1 and Mk2 Panda :D

    • @ChopsGarage
      @ChopsGarage  3 роки тому

      I thought this was the Mk2?

    • @jonathanburford
      @jonathanburford 3 роки тому +1

      @@ChopsGarage nope, Mk2. Common mistake though. Mk1 was 1980-1986. Mk2 was a complete redesign with little to no compatible parts and even had a different chassis number run as a result and ran from 1986-2003 (1995 in the UK), then the Mk3 as in your video 2003-2012, and the current shape is the Mk4.
