Wow v6 vengeance, takes me back to my childhood. I lovveddddd reading about it in street commodores every month. Bring her back Scotty plzz and leave her exactly how she was with her black stockies on
That thing lights em up at the blip of the throttle. I love it and it sounds SO good! I had a 2002 Grand Prix GTP that was fully loaded with the L67 when it first came out and that car was alot of fun with headers, an intake, a full Borla exhaust, and a reflash, but it was wrong wheel drive. It had a heads up display, it was silver with black leather, I had limo tint all the way around, and it had the polished GTP wheels. I loved that car. It was extremely expensive, but it was so comfortable, handled really well for a heavy car, and it moved.
All the best at Sydney as well, please upload the footage, love to see it, as a disabled person ( Not giving excuses) its really hard most times to get to events, last one was at the drag challenge in DEC 2019 at Calder as well. :)
Yall do some cool shit down under! I'm actually putting a 6 71 5.3 setup in my old 77 nova to attempt doin some big ass burn outs and go to all the cleetus and cars over hear in the u.s that are down south
My first car was a VN Series 1 1988 manual, and later on owned a VT Calais with supercharger, not as quick as the red beast you have modified. Great job guys.
You guys did a great job on that VN, she’s come out well. The problem with the sound of the v6 is people try making them too loud and tend to run them without a rear resonator, that’s when they sound the worst. Run them with a decent exhaust and resonator and they actually sound ok
Great to see that the VN is up and running, sound very nice too. Can't wait to see how far she'll go on the Blower, before the Turbos get bolted on!! Or will there be a blue bottle in the not so distance future. All the best to you all at both SM and the Carnage workshop. Safe Xmas and see you all in 2021
Well done. I remember the old VN turbo at WISD. I think low 12s are most definitely not out of the question, particularly if it's not a stinker in Sydney.
Good work.Made exactly the same.power on e85 as i did. Mines still in a vx 340,000ks ,mace stage 2 cam, mace cai, but running the 3" pulley seeing 10 psi. Sc is stock with stock tb and still running the standard ecu. Running smaller headers and hi flow cats and twin 2.5" exhaust. Doing another round of mods shortly. Would love to have a race at wsid would be fun.
Proof that old Holdens don't die! They just get boosted! On another note. That bad driver pulling out on you should send that part to #ScottsCarCameras! 😂😂
Nice work Scotty! These Eaton M90's are pathetic blowers, so that's a good amount of power. I'm keen to see a turbo on this engine, with some ethanol and winding some boost into it!
Not a bad outcome, lads. You should give one of those air powered cooling system filler tools a try- works well on those notoriously tricky Holden V6s and for the many projects you’ve got on the go.
@@mackey2680 Back in the 90's those VS SS were a pretty solid car and 185kw's was nothing to snicker about. That's coming from a Ford guy but all my mates were Holden fans (i was the odd one out). Bloke i knew had a black one and it went well, it's just when comparing to anything post 2000 that 200kws seems low. The BA turbs and Holdens 6.0L range really raised the bar making 500HP fairly standard practice in the later years.
300rwkw isnt too hard to get from an l67 just like any other motor, things are pretty bulletproof from factory but with a little help can be really awesome motors.
With 6cyl engines if you can seperate the exhaust into two sets of three banks the further down the vehicle you keep the two pipes separate the better it will sound . You can vary the pipe size and length to make it sound like anything from a Ferrari to a Pork
Spray it pre supercharger. That's what I do with a similar vintage MP62 blower and it works a treat. Stops charger itself getting too hot, adds 1 psi or so more boost and no downsides. $500 to fit a basic kit, tweak the tune a little to suit (2 - 4 deg more timing and a little less fuel) and you're done. Hurry up already!
@@200mphgt40 I've had some decent results with my own impression of a spray. Bunnings thankfully have the perfect misting brass fittings which atomise perfectly, originally had to hunt around all over the world prior for similar. Pressure is from a $25 diaphragm pump, the nozzle is less than 100mm away preventing requirement of a shut-off solenoid and it's controlled by a very simple boost reference.
It sounds just like the older VB to VK 6's when they put an exhaust on it to make it idle like a v8 but as soon as they took off you knew it was a 6, lol Those were the days taking Brock's and other V8's for a spin from car yards in Campbellfield area? Why cant you hear the supercharger whine like on v8's?
Awesome!! Love it i wish i didn't get rid of my VB ☹🎅👍 keep up the good work buddy have a great Christmas and an awesome new year can't wait for your next video
Hey Scotty, How did you go bleeding the cooling system with the bitch of a bleed valve where the thermostat is? Did you modify the housing at all? I honestly cant remember if you guys mentioned it with the install. Its a pain in the ass to get too on a VX
Well done scotty with everything that's going on, COVID etc, i am supervised you even finished it, what about the auto flex line, did you sort that out, i know you did, just no upload about it that's all and you really need the intercooler for the supercharger otherwise she is going to run really hot all the time?

Fuck a fwd L67... Shit .... Bet that likes sudden lane changes.
