    Great playing. Love your style. Eastman takes this one. Warm and balanced with lovely depth and an element of soul. The OM-21 is Rosewood so obviously has that classic scooped mids and complexity and wins when capo'd at the 4th fret. The Guild has a very interesting tone that transcends traditional guitar tone for some reason, possibly related to a different setup, i.e. wider nut slots maybe?

      yes the guild has much wider string spacing so can't help but wonder how that effects the tone. It can be quite hooky when strummed hard but works great finger style.

    Thanks for the comparison of three very nice guitars. I unfortunately can't afford any of these fine guitars but if I could I think it would be a tough decision between the Guild and the Martin. I hope you do some more videos.
    Cheers from Australia.

    Martin: $3000
    Eastman: $1100
    Both fabulous guitars but this is not a difficult choice.
    Nice demo.

    The Eastman is a 000. So it’s a short scale. The tc version of the Eastman is less expensive than the Martin and guild and better than both.

      I also had the E10OM previously , honestly TC does not sound any better , but it has the nice golden hue aged look ; I bought it mostly for the warmer Sitka top as opposed to the punchy Adirondack ☻️

    I would pick the Martin OM-21 if I had the money and needed another OM , however I am not needing one … lol … but the Guild is a great guitar for the price point too, although I thought the Eastman won out on tone against the Guild , both were great guitars. The wider string spacing people are asking about only makes it easier for finger style type playing and shouldn’t have any impact on tone .

    G'day mate. Am I your first subscriber, if so I'm honoured. I'm kinda checking out a few OMs. I was checking out the Eastman you played initially. Of these 3, which did you find the easiest,/nicest to play? Which brought out the best in your routine? I really like your capoed section of the routine. Bravo!
    Can you also tell me your preference in terms of scale length?

    • @anologuesignal6365
      @anologuesignal6365  Рік тому

      Hi Tom, thanks for being my first subscriber! The Eastman and the Martin are both super easy to play. I like the longer scale length as lots of the tunes I play are capoed so slightly easier with longer scale length. I love the pickup in the eastman so it's a go to for live - and it can take a bit more heavy strumming than the Martin. Hope that helps

    The Martin is about 3x the price of the Eastman. I have an OM-21, and an Eastman E6OM-TC. It's also Rosewood back and sides, the others mahogany.

    Hi do you happen to recall the difference in neck shape between all 3 guitars? Thanks, keep up good videos!

    • @anologuesignal6365
      @anologuesignal6365  7 місяців тому

      hey, @only1cel sorry for slow reply. The Martin has the slimiest neck, (bit Strat like) the Eastman is more of handful with thicker D shape. And the Guild is in-between in terms of thickness but wider so feels much bigger. They are all very similar string spacing at nut but Guild has wider spacing at the bridge - which makes a massive difference.

    Guild Eastman Martin in that order to my ears preference. Close on the Eastman and Guild. I’m a huge Martin fan, but not impressed

    OM isnt a small body, 0 is.

    • @anologuesignal6365
      @anologuesignal6365  7 місяців тому

      true - but as people tend to see dreadnought as the standard size of acoustic guitar, then the om or 000 becomes a smaller bodied guitar in comparison. Just wish I had a collection of 0 and 00 to compare these ones to!
