I think Relient K must have followed me around writing songs about me. I was a perfectionist for 20 years. It made me depressed and suicidal. I succumbed to self-injurious behavior. Even as a "Christian" who went to church and got straight A's in Bible class. It wasn't until I went to college and had a breakdown that I met the real Jesus, not the fake one my old church paraded around. He changed my life. I still struggle with perfectionism, but I'm no longer a suicidal mess. Thank you, Lord.
Thanks god hes always giving us a chance to do something for him even when we feel unworthy!
This is one of the many reasons why I love relient k. They always have songs that speak to me perfectly. They also sound like they're speaking from personal experience. I love them!
This song describes my life. I love the people who make me feel a little more than useless.
Would it take 3 years for someone to realize how depressing their comments were lol

You’re right. No matter how many you find, it’s *never* too many :-)
That's such an encouragement to hear. I know that it's hard to get out of that kind of behavior. But God is gracious, he helps us and then helps us again if we mess it up.

I can remember my 13 y/o self listening to this song, crying of anger alone in my room. Last year I turned 25 and I made my dream of living abroad come true. This year I will probably open my own bussiness. It gets better.
Who cares if it's Christian or any other religion. The fact is EVERYONE feels more than useless at some point in their life. This song speaks out about the truth of how aren't Useless. We have meaning and we have purpose and religion has nothing to do with that. It's what you take from this song and how you apply it to your life is what matters. Food For Thought since this song Literally in my teens saved my life from Suicide. If I hadn't heard this song on my iPod before walking to the bridge, I would not be here today.

I feel the same, pal. I'm not religious but this song really helps keep my spirits up especially now. I recently graduated university and so far I've had zero luck in finding work. It wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact any friends I made at college have moved back with their families so I'm alone as well. I have trouble finding positivity in myself with every rejected job application for part time work and the lack of finding opportunities for jobs related to my degree. Eventually I begin to feel it's all my fault but this song really helps me remember that that isn't true and that I do have talent worthwhile and that my time will come. Thank you Relient K
Psalms 73:21-26 and this song are such a help in my understanding that I am important and God has washed me of my sins. Thank you Jesus!
Everyone feels like that. Instead of having religious debates (yes I'm a Christian myself) focus on how amazing this is. I am suicidal and this just hit me.

@RqesVT Human's are fickle, we forget that God is so much more than our problems. We're broken when we come out of the womb, and often we get broken and let ourselves be broken by the world. God is faithful though, and suicidal thoughts and even actions are covered by Jesus' blood. So yes, it can happen, and our God can handle that brokeness. Just look at the story of prophet Elijah: he was suicidal but eventually came around 1st Kings 19:4. Hope you're doing well borther.

Especially since I've been hesitant to believe the internet can actually help ppl, but from watching certain videos in this past week I've noticed ppl are truly affecting others in a powerful way!
This is a great, inspirational song. Great band. The guitar in most of their songs is pretty sweet. Makes me wanna learn to play guitar.

I like Relient-K.. this kind of songs make me smile... And to be completely honest, those are the kind of songs that doesn't matter if you are a boy or a girl... You can accept the fact you like regardless anyone else opinnion.
This song describes my life at the moment. How I feel worthless like I'm a screw up I can't do anything right and then I think about how peoples lives would be better without me. Then my best friend calls me and tells me I have so much potential and I'm important to so many people.

when i was in 10th grade i had a relient k episode. i was a new fan and i got two lefts and anatomy. when i heard they were coming out with a new cd i was excited, and when i heard this song, they forever cemented themselves as my favorite band.
I love this song so much. I've been depressed for about the last year or so now. You know when you just have those perspective moments? This song gave me that, and I'm now on my way to getting better. It's amazing how much impact one song can have.

omg this brings me back to my young teenage years :'))
to me this is the best song ever made on the best album ever made. this band came to me at a critical time in my life, they'll always be my favorite.
Even with the fast beat and punky guitars this song makes me cry, it's just so close to home for me. It's such a theme song for people who feel like they're just part of the decor in their own life.
i first heard of relient k about 5 years ago but it wasnt until this year that they became my favorite band because their music and relateable lyrics got me out of deppression

I felt so horrible, useless and all those other bad things but when I heard this song I don't know why but it made me feel refreshed and not so useless anymore
