Firework Show Setup (Part 6 - July 4th 2023)

- The finale pre-show day setup video is here! This video focuses solely on our mortar racks! I usually use this opportunity to dump any shells leftover from videos throughout the year into the sky puke of a finale haha. We ended up setting up 132 shells to go off in a matter of seconds at seven positions, spread out 300' across. The next video you will see is the actual show! I will have an on-site setup video and clean-up videos as well.

#Fireworks #Pyrotechnics #4thofjuly
Best one since I started watching. Got to 125 cans this year, was truly awesome
That is awesome to hear!
I love the way you make it look so easy and fast. I fused up 7 racks this year and it took some time, but I did cut and remove the shiny paper wrap and the plastic cap so less debris in the water. I shoot on the lakes edge so I want to minimize the debris field. Great demo looking forward to your show video.
I like to hear that! I think I'm going to do the same thing next year too. I really hate plastic that is used in fireworks and I had a TON this year in my howling cakes, sigh.
Wish it was really that fast to fuse so many cans LOL
Wait.. is everyone not freaky fast at can dropping?
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics Still working on my speed!!
@@denfireworks Best drop some more shells then lol
I'm adding carry handles to all my plywood sheets and racks now.
Yes, great idea!
Heck yeah Joel, looking forward to the video. We got off last Saturday, we had a bunch of rain, hope you are all well from the last round of weather and have great weather for the show, as always Joel thanks brother.
The show went off with only minor inconveniences!
I’m pumped to see the show!! When will the show vid drop?
It's live now! ua-cam.com/video/4y4su89SnYM/v-deo.html

Yup!! Can't wait!! 😉
It was epic for sure!
Solid 💪
Thanks brother!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics 👍👊💥

Joel make a note need to redo the racks for next year
YES! Thank you lol. I'm going to probably rebuild them all in the Fall
Fantastic waiting I will be 😀
It's live!
Sheesh nice 😮
Thanks for watching!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics any time friend! I really like the set up something on my pyro bucket list haha
Quit teasing us already!!!!!!!! Show us the goods! 😂😂👍
Teasing is half the fun!
What a dream 👍✨🧨🧨✨,
Gotta live the dream!
those raccoon shells were not the same 6 in my box... 1-6 were all on top of box
Hmmm, I have a few left, maybe I need to go check mine again too
I'm sad I'm missing it in person!
That would have been awesome! Probably the only show that isn't going to fall on the weekend/day of the 4th, so you'll probably never get a chance to catch it in person again lol
Here from aruba 🇦🇼
Cheers! Aruba is beautiful!
Here 🎇
🎇🎇
So is it legal to ship fuse to cali
When will you have the final setup for 4th of July?
Show is going live today!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics Great!
Cost difference in the 1.4 Pro Raccoon bulk canister vs the analogous 1.4G consumer version? Is it worth going bulk?
Absolutely! The bulk Raccoon shells were $1.70 a piece, whereas the 24 shell kits were in the $2.40 range (all from American Wholesale) and then you also have the extra packaging/shipping that you don't need. I think I'll be buying more bulk shells in the future for sure.
What kind of tape are using?
U-haul packaging tape. It's honestly the best tape for firework stuff. Here is an example, amzn.to/3hnUxRr but you can normally get it for much cheaper at your local U-haul location.
@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics That's what I thought you were using....I appreciate it, Joel. So a craft tape.
Im not sure how but i found a dead bird in 1 of my mortars before stored in my barn
Dang! Like it flew into the wall and fell into the tube? A mouse makes sense, but a bird is a bit of a head-scratcher lol
Joel, just curious... How much time did all of this pre-setup prep work take (parts 1-6)?
Each part was recorded and edited on a single day, so 6 different days. Part 1/2 were over a weekend, so much longer days, while parts 3-6 were after my day job so probably ~5 hours each.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics, so guessing maybe 10 hours apiece on the two weekend days, plus 20 more for the other ones... Safe to say 40 hours of prep? Just trying to work out how to allocate my own time for when I want to setup something. Nothing anywhere as elaborate, but it looks like the reality is that it's all about the details. Which you seem to never take any shortcuts on. Kudos!
do you cover your racks in foil?
I used to use foil, but now I tape them. It's less cleanup as the tape generally sticks together.
Where can i buy this shells?
The shells or the mortar tubes? I buy shells from all over the place. I have been getting more of my new racks/tubes from ProPyroRacks.com though.
