The throwaway line about post-War wastelanders arguing with their families about which political party started the Great War made me laugh. That's very accurate. On a related, more serious note, to anyone reading this, remember that even if you don't Christmas and Hanukkah for their original purpose, the holidays are a time to spend with family. Be nice, and don't argue.

Christmas in fact did survive as we see it celebrated in December in diamond city. Also in my headcanon weird Al songs were made illegal by the government before the war but were then found by scavengers and Christmas at ground zero has become a popular post-war Christmas Carol.

actually there is no birth date in the Bible for Jesus so Christmas has got nothing to do with him since we do not have an actual date he could have been born in the summer
