    Space Engine and Universe Sandbox are honestly my two favorite pieces of software.

    • @milehighgenisis7872
      @milehighgenisis7872 7 років тому +1

      yep. space engine has been in development since 2004 though.. But its only been public since 2010. However its turning out really really nice!

    • @kimlele1971
      @kimlele1971 7 років тому +2

      both game should colab, like make your own system in universe sandbox and then in some ways transfer the data from it to space engine and then enjoy your system in beautiful lightning of SE, that would be great.

    • @milehighgenisis7872
      @milehighgenisis7872 7 років тому

      Actually Its already Possible to create/edit planets and systems in space engine (Ive never done it though) ive only edited planets. So that colab would mostly be useless.
      Space Engine uses a different code from Unieverse Sandbox 2. Since space engine can render procedural terrain on planets witch universe sandbox 2 cant so there would be some compatibility issues.
      Its not a bad idea dont get me wrong but.. i don't think its "somewhat" possible for that to happen.

    • @kimlele1971
      @kimlele1971 7 років тому

      hm...i didnt know you can edit systems in SE, i thought you can only edit bodies, oh yeah there is an "edit system" button but i dont know how to use

      @@_Leo_- Yo I feel you man I used to have a HD5570 less than a year ago before I gathered up my christmas money for a GeForce GTX1650
      Runs like a charm, and still somehow worked on my old card with at least 20fps+
      Just requires a modern card, can be very cheap

    • @_Leo_-
      @_Leo_- 5 років тому +1

      @@Zi7ar21 Yeah, but I have my eyes on a GTX 1660Ti for now. I'm planning a huge update in few months and that's the upgrade I want. I'm tired of 25fps or even lower

    • @Blaze6108
      @Blaze6108 5 років тому +1

      @@Zi7ar21 Most parts of the game are asynchronous including the procedural generator, so it will probably run at 60 on anything except Intel integrated graphics, however it will take longer for the terrain to become pretty if you're running a low-grade GPU. The one exception might be spaceships which are insanely hardware-intensive apparently.

    May I ask how you achieved minimal banding in scenes like 1:20? I am trying to eliminate banding by changing the settings in Handbrake, but not having any luck. are you encoding using custom bitrate or using CRF? Any help would be very appreciated, as I have tried so many things and read so many forums.

      I know I'm late but whatever...
      Disable ingame dithering and inject reshade 3. There is a better deband function there. The initial configuration is weird but it's a snap once you get it.

      If you turn on auto-exposure, then when you look at bright objects background stars should mostly fade away. Version 0.980 has this option however in version 0.981 the auto-exposure tool has been further refined.
