Thanks For Watching!
I'm going to be making so many LUTs now. Who's with me?
I've heard about LUTs for a while now, but never really dove into it because I figured it would be complicated. This video was super helpful. Thanks!
dude if you made a LUT pack I'd buy it in a heartbeat
we've been using LUTs for a while now and are fully sold. Its pretty basic, just made our purple lights in the background extra saturated. such a great tool.
That moment when you use this video as a guide and mix it with the video on how to make sharper thumbnails to create a sweet looking LUT for your camera 🤣
Genius
Some of the most helpful and efficient videos out there for streamers, especially when you're just starting out
Well that is a great video. I was getting concerned about my current cam set up and lighting not looking how I wanted, but this will give me so much lore adjustment. Thanks Sam.
I didn't know I need this, until now, now I need this, Thanks for posting!
I’ve always wondered how to create these. I feel like I’ve been streaming with my a5100 and FaceCam wrong this whole time!
Well done. Thank you!
Really enjoyed this and can't wait to try this out!
Your content is always a treat, thanks
Thank you so much for this!!!
This is really great and helpful info, Sam. Thank you!
Great video! I am literally in the middle of doing this but got discouraged trying to find a LUT that worked for me. Thanks Sam!
🤯. Didn’t realize you could apply a little to a stream. Of course you can, why would t you be able to.
Thank you, as always, Sam.
Great video I love that I can set a lut internally on my lumix s5 the send it out the hdmi saves a bunch of time 😀
Awesome !!!! I did not know I could do that with Affinity. Great Info.
Thanks! Didn't know OBS had the option to add a LUT
I'm really starting to like the Cinetone picture profile on the A7IV, but it does still need a lut. I tried a few different things, but what worked best so far was just using black/white/gray cards to get the contrast/gamma right. At the very least it gets your skintones right.
Thanks Sam :D
Great video!
Can you do this with camera filter raw in photoshop or does it have to be done with the line graphs?
One of my favorite channels to watch and know I’m not going to do anything with the info, just think about it. Haha.
Do you have a playlist for all the different technical issues you can have with streaming in OBS? I have weird things happening like in one scene my camera works but in the next scene when I bring my camera in the scene to it won’t show anything. I like your work, thanks for all the good tips.
keep it up sam!
I was making my LUTs in a wrong way... Hehe
This way is the easiest way!
Thanks for sharing this video, Sam!!!
Thanks for the tutorial, Didn't quite work for me, got some weird flickering going on but oh well, Ill have to watch a bunch of times to see what I did wrong
Love this ! Did Sam ever make that notion Video!?
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooon
Is there a way to do this with Lightroom?
Thanks for pointing out where the sarcasm is 😄
Wonder how I do this with a elgato face cam? Do I reset to the stock settings and work from there? Or is there a way to make it gray scale? 🤔🤔
An Elgato webcam won't get you that same dynamic look like a pro cinema can, but using the same technique to tweak the colour and lighting will give you much better results. I'd set the camera to default settings, then set exposure and ISO perfectly, and then I'd create your LUT after the base correction. Then if you need to tweak it go from there.
Watch my Elgato Facecam video and then come back to this one.
Hi. I have a question about recording videos. When you record, do you do it in the camera or use OBS and save it on the PC? Thanks.
Depends on your preference. I use OBS to match all my audio so it saves me the trouble of trying to sync it up.
Andddd it also depends on what you plan to game.
@@MidnightJake1 Thank you. I wanted to start recording videos, but I was unaware of them.
@@MarkNievespr Oh for sure. There's many ways to do it honestly. The end goal of course is to make sure everything works and is recording.
Like I recorded an hour long episode and then found out the audio to the camera was delayed by 2 seconds 😂 triple check everything, always.
@@MidnightJake1 ouch. I have a Sony A6400 and the Camlink but wanted to know if I use OBS or record directly on the camera.
@@MarkNievespr You could, if thats all you're using OBS for. Elgato is not necessarily a power hog but its better to just use it as a pass through, my personal experience anyways
6:12 - Instructions unclear. My LUT is now stuck in my ceiling fan, please help.
My OBS doesnt have Colour Correction, only Color Correction. Will this still work?
SARCASM
underrated
I wish I wasn't color blind so I could create a LUT that made my Elgato FaceCam look better than it already does.
the thumbnail: *exists*
me, an intellectual: why would you shoot in log and not color grade/lut
how do you get an ungraded feed out of a webcam?
Just simply don't do any adjustments or remove the ones that you make for colour, and follow the same process.
