It would be help if you could do a video on replacing the belt with a new one. The pulley slides off the bottom pulley easily but not from the upper pulley

Just put together my new coronet herald. Please help, the spindle seems loose, when I grab the hand wheel it "clunks" left and right like there is quite a bit of slop in the bearings. Is this normal??? I tried turning a small bowl and it is annoying having it clunk back and forth when there is no tailstock pressure. I thought these lathes were high quality?
