I just received this bike myself. I got the high step in Mango. The color is so biright you almost need sunglasses to look at it but they will see you coming a block away. This thing is a huge beast and looks like a smaller motorcycle which it is. It is somewhat difficult to swing your leg over especially with the seat raised but if you tilt it over a bit some what you make it easier (Im 5 11"). Once your on your ok because the bar tilts way lower for your crotch. The advantage of the high step bar is you got something solid to grab unto to move or position the bike when your standing along side the machine. I rode it 40 miles pedalling lighlty at 20 mph in PAS 5. I went down hill as fast as I could at 35 mph and motored up the hill at 20 mph. After the 40 miles my battery bar was at 0 but even then the bike still went 18mph. It took about 5 hours to fully recharge. The bike is well balanced too and I pedalled no handed for at least 2 miles. Also I am 71 years old and havent ridden bicycles for probably 50 years. I have the rear rack (with paniers)which is very nice and I will be getting the front rack as well. This thing feels very safe riding it and it is a very high quality machine. The welds are perfect and the way the battery fits on the bike is superb. The sreen is easy to see in bright sunlight. The seat is comfortable too. My only complaint is the screen does not read out the current voltage but only gives power bars. Also mine didnt come with the integrated tail light but I understand the 2003 models do. If you get one I would request the newer model. I kinda wish that I got the sand colored model but still am quite happy to own one of these. Also I believe the step thru model is a slightly smaller frame but this is would definitely be better for people 5 10" or less. The UL approval rating cinched the deal for me. Thanks. DS

I received my step thru Nomad in the mango color in mid-March, 2023. It came with an integrated tail light in the rear fender, which was a nice surprise. I have only ridden it just over 100 miles, but so far I love it!

You are reviewing this bike after riding 4 miles on it…😁😝
Not a bad job at that.

I totally agree with your opinion of the hydraulic brake setup. Excellent review (as usual) so I bookmarked it.

This is a great loaded bike for the $price. I think Velotric is shipping out the Nomads now with a integrated rear break light.

My Step over Nomad1 did not come w/ integrated tail light. I was rather disappointed. I am trying to have them let me exchange for a current version that does have that light. My wifes step through does have it and its nice when you are following that bike, you know when they are stopping.

I stopped at 14.4 Ah. Way under current 20 Ah ish standards.
