THE MOST BEST EVER TUTORIAL I'VE EVER SEEN WITH MY EYES THAT LOOK LIKE THIS !!!!
THANKS FOR YOUR TUT CESAR!
FOR ANYONE USING EEVEE IN BLENDER 2.8x This tutorial is still perfect, but you need to check Screen Space Reflection in the render tab (the second from the top in the properties windows, the icon with the little camera) and in the drop down menu check refraction. In the material window of the sclera (the one with the ball shape icon) check Screen Space Refraction and voilà, a perfect pbr eye, maybe tone down a little the bump of the sclera by reducing the factor in the multiply node at 2:57
thanks man you saved my life i was about to kill myself cause i was doing everything exactly and still can't see the iris because i didn't enable the refraction thing that you mentioned 🙂🙂 thanks again
Is Math on scearch !
OR SIMPLY USE PRINCIPLE INSTEAD OF THESE MIX MIX STUFF
@@mekano6263 don't give up on life, man, digital space is not worth suicide ;DD
@@peaou i was just kidding bro i won't kill myself for a 3d model LOL
i wish my arms were as strong as this guy's accent
Love the tutorial!
Thanks for sharing César Salcedo, it's always great when an artist that has achieved some fantastic results shares his process with others. Can't wait for the next project you create.
I like this format, I don't have to spend half an hour listening to someone drone on, then another hour having the bloody scale tool explained to me for the millionth time. If anyone thinks it's too fast, watch it through once and look up any tools or functions you're not familiar with (it's all useful stuff you'll need in the future anyway), then come back.
you must a god from the blender land ! you not only show a fantastic tutorial but also provide us the required textures. My humble thanks to this rare gem.
This is how tutorials should be!!! Quick, clear and 'Here's what you need, now go learn!'
I'm a noobie downloaded the texture maps he was so kind to provide turned on close caption, and followed step by step. paused & replayed video a lot until model look like his. followed the steps to prepare for texturing once into cycles nodes paused video on his node map for eyeball added all nodes with shift A connect them as shown with values and followed along with iris, got the most realistic eye I've ever made thank you
YES! Super excited for this series!
I'm going to keep an eye on your tutorials. Great work. Quick and efficient.
WOOOOOW! How I wish others did their tutorials this way, I followed completely and my end result was superb!
Great tutorial. You did very in depth research, you derived the IOR values from real life accurate measurements.
Thank God for people like you.....So smooth, love the way you decided to educate us. i get it....thank you.
Incredible, really helped me. I was making it too complicated because I thought it would get a better result. I was very wrong. The speed of the tutorial is really perfect. Thanks
This is the best Eye Tutorial I've ever found ANYWHERE!!! thank you so much for this video...And the free textures!
Nice tutorial Cesar!
Thanks for textures and breakdown, it's very good stuff.
I saw your selfportrait on BlenderArtist, amazing work! Congrats.
Incredible video Cesar, I have only just started learning blender and I have to admit it took me over an hour to follow your 6 minute video instructions, but it was worth it, I now have a beautiful eye! Thank you :)
3 hours to watch a 6 minutes long tutorial, that's fine
kkkkkkk, is good to know i am not the only one...
@@niltonmunwane789 fucking same here
Definitely the best eye tutorial and super efficiently laid out it really is easy for beginners i like rewinding and pausing to get everything and it helps that you streamlined this so all i have to do is go back a little for something i didnt get! this one tutorial taught me so many things as a beginner : uv maps, textures, normals, bumps, interface, hot keys and great simple and quick explanations! if you could do one on a low poly full human with correct anatomy and face in 15 min with rigging many people would be appreciative it would help streamline the pipeline for game development! Either way thanks for making such efficiently educative tutorials this could be used for anything from games to cg to simulations! Great work!
Love it. The fact that you made it at your own speed while showing the keys you're using is really helpful too. It can lead beginners to learn shortcuts if they actually try to. Thank you for tips and ofc nice tutorial ;)
MOST AWESOMEST! incredible epicness!
thank you for your work, time, the textures, the detailed explanation and this all seeing eye!
Amazing ! I have to admit, my results where far beyond my expectations. Thank you !
For everyone not seeing the iris in blender 2.8:
1. Go to render menu and enable "Screen Space Reflections" and inside this enable "Refraction"
2. Go to material menu and enable "Screen Space Refraction" under Settings
If you can see the iris, but not well enough, check if the IOR in the Glass shader is set to 1.376
Also i would put the value of the multiply node to -0.03 (instead of -0.3). i dont know if it has to do with blender version, but it looks way better in my opinion.
This was incredibly helpful!!
@@ScratchVT glad it helped☺️
only for eevee, right?
can't find Screen Space Reflections for cycles, ior is set and the iris is still very dark :/
@@Lakus231 sorry im not sure about that.. its a while ago but i guess so
@@EnsoloCraft np, i got it now, had to change some lighting settings, becasue of version difference
Awesome tutorial! It's youtubers like you that makes 3D modelling fun for me to learn!
Thank you, I finally have a working cornea/iris structure because of you :)
Cara, você é sinistro!!!
Uma das melhores renderizacoes que já vi!!!
this is the coolest tutorial i've ever watched.
Nicely done. Love the eye contraction. Very clear and simple explanation. You pack in a lot of information in a short period of time. Thank you.
Thank you very much for this tutorial and the other work. I very much appreciate the work (and quality of work).
Amazing eye, keep up the good work (and please keep the tutorials coming, haha)!
Beautiful end result. I like your style both in terms of modelling and conveying your knowledge.
I don't know if I'm drunk enough for Borat to be speeding through an intermediate-level tutorial...but I'm going to subscribe anyway.
+RavingNoah lol
+RavingNoah That's why I love the speed controls on UA-cam. Too bad they can't go slower the .25X unless someone knows something about it that I don't ...??

All blender tuts follow a pretty standard flow. Watch enough of them and you'll get good at learning all the stuff you want from a 30min video in 5mins by jumping to the important parts. This is a very straight forward tut. Ask me questions if you need help. Blender community is one for all and all for one. The more ppl that learn the program the more popular it becomes and the better it becomes.
im not sure what he did. ok @ 1:01 shift-d, then I got lost there. can you please help.
im stuck there too. 1:05
I'm seeing this in 2020... and all I can say is.
Bless you!
Dang! Nice work! Very fast tutorial luckily I was just looking at the technique.
dude he literally skipped half of the steps
I know this is the best tutorial for eyes out there. Also i always use this to make eyes,
But this is the Best and bad tutorial at the same time, people who's totally new to blender they'll able to make this eye but won't understand a single thing about how that material is working because you just showed it.
anyway thanks for this awesome tutorial really appreciate it
Absolutely indispensable tutorial. Please keep making English version of your tutorials.
i have been finding a good eye tutorial in blender
and i finally found it
Thanx a lot César you are awesome
10/10
So awesome solution for the light! :O
Overall amazing! :D
This is great, and thank you for the free textures!!!
It was so good that I wanted to add this video to my blender play-list a second time! :D
Duuuuuuuude, IT IS AWESOME!!! Thank You for so fine tutorial!
I'm going to vote this the best eye I've seen even though I haven't finished it yet and may have to achieve it by other means.
**AWESOME Tutorial - Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed VERY much. No need to apologize for your english. It is very good!
Despite this being old and the comments about the english/speed of the video this is probably the best eye tutorial on youtube.
Well done, absolutely stunning result.
Hey, really great stuff and it must be a real challenge to do this in another language. Great job! The only thing that I have to figure out is that part about the duplicating the scalera and adding just shadow. You have great understanding. Thanks again!
"..Adjust like LSD pupils..."
;D gotchya!
Dude, witchcraft. Read this as he's saying it loool
Your english is great, you have a hard accent, but it even gives more flavour to tutorial. Tutorial is amazing! Keep on it!
hi! I had a hard time understanding the turoial but love the result. Would it be possible for you te send me the blend file? Thank you!
Thank you. This tutorial totally rocks. The model looks great.
Thank you for tutorial! I made amazing eyes!
WOW! Just learning Blender, coming from 3DsMax. YOU ARE AWESOME! Your're work is top-notch!
An amazing tutorial, César.

Thanks a lot man. GREAT tutorial. This is much better than my previous iterations of my logo. Helped me a lot.
Amazing tutorial!
Man.. You are simply awesome. God Bless
Amazing tuto, old but gold!
Thank you it was much easier than I had thought
Years have passed and these eyes are still the best ones.
Great! Love that you also showed the contraction of the pupils. I played it at 1.5 speed to follow through
Wow, very cool!
So nice result, thanks Made ;) I'm looking forward to a tutorial for the head :D
Hey! thank you for the tutorial. More tutorials please, you are brilliant!
Dude you are amazing...Simply Amazing. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
This guy gets to the point.
Excellent tutorial.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
Great tutorial, subscribed
Great tutorial. Is really amazing.
Tnx man, best eye tutorial i have seen
What a good tutorial! The best eye tutorial I found in the web!! Thank you very much!
PS.: forget about the English. The most used language on the net is accented English like ours! It is considered charming!
+rlocatellidigital not really to reach more people the better your english the more people will hear you :D
yes, very talented eye creation, but the accent was too thick. Looks like its worth the multiple rewinds to get through though :)
It doesn't matter. You can see very clearly what he's doing. It's not a specific Blender tutorial. It's about the concept of the shader. Very nice!
to clarify this is not a shader. this is a texture.
I really like his tutorial and skill but I have to admit sometimes I got lost with the accent like I'd hear an English word which then morphs intro French or something.
Really wonderful tutorial thanks a lot for sharing :D
very simple tutorial and i alredy made this eye in 20 minutes great stuff and powerfull result
Great tut! thx!
