Joan Collins is one of those people who is naturally witty and fun. She's fabulous.
Just saw her in an episode of Police Woman on here from 1975. She was funny!
She was terrific! You can laugh all you want when she's on screen, but once she's on screen you can't take your eyes off her !

Joan just wrote a book ‘Unapologetic’ and does interviews now. She at 88 is still beautiful, sympathetic and witty as sharp as a raiser-knife. Anyone with good taste must adore the woman.

Joan was always my favorite on Dynasty. Her look was so glamorous. Yes she was calculating and evil at times but it was a character she played well!! She deserved that award.
Joan is just so absolutely radiant here! You can tell she's over the moon to have won! How fabulous she is. She has wit, inteligence, class, beauty, grace and humour. At 91 still! She's an inspiration to all of us.

She once played a soap star actress having a crisis and at the end the character wiped her makeup off on live TV and threw her wig away.
In another she played a buck toothed old maiden aunt with bushy eyebrows.

BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL❤ She played the hell out of the character Alexis Carrington. Dynasty was my all time favorite 80's television shows. Primetime was at it's fiery best in those days and times. Television of today in no way compares to television of yesterday 😉 FYI 😉 The updated reboot version of Dynasty is a slap in the face to the original. It's virtually impossible to replicate any of the original characters.
Joan Collins is one of the most genuine down to earth sincere truthful people you could come across. Watching akot of her interviews she can’t be anymore further away from her Alexis (bitchy heartless) person than she can.
Someone commented on another video and he said he has met Joan several times and she is nothing like Alexis. That's why they call it acting. He said she is humble, down-to-earth, sincere and warm and gracious to her fans. He said she will always stop and chat with fans, sign autographs and is genuinely interested in and appreciative of her fans. And she was like that even at the height of her fame and popularity in Dynasty when she had every reason to be snooty and stuck-up but she wasn't.
'Dynasty' wouldn't have been so successful without her. The first season was boring. She was the real star of this soap opera
Season 1 was a real snooze fest and was 45th in the ratings. That's pretty far down. Joan saved it from cancellation in season 2. The cast owed their jobs to her.
She is so funny which means she's a whole lot smarter than most of her contemporaries

Nice that Mr. Shatner was presenting; they worked together on "Star Trek" once. And her remark about "from Aaron Spelling on up" may have been unintentionally funny but he obviously loved it because you can see him cracking up jovially in the crowd.
"Dynasty" might have sank and faded rapidly into obscurity without a glamorous and scheming villainess arriving in season two. They got a real prize with Joan, luckily. Apparently the show bigwigs originally wanted Jessica Walter for the elegant and stylish Alexis (she might have been fine) but that fell through, and then Sofia Loren wanted too much money.
In the "Dynasty" first season cliff-hanger ending, the lady entering the courtroom was merely an extra (in a big hat and sunglasses courtesy of wardrobe guru Nolan Miller); at the time, nobody on "Dynasty" knew who would be taking that role. Collins recalls being told that she would have to wear a very specific suit on her first day filming, the exact ensemble seen in the season finale. Of course, she looked amazing in it.
Joan always looked brilliant, didn't she ... whether in the 50's movie "The Opposite Sex" getting slapped by June Alyson (it was a color remake of 1939's "The Women") or in "Tales from the Crypt" an Amicus anthology thriller film. Clearly she had fun playing Alexis, and we viewers enjoyed her performance; it's cool that she was rewarded for that with this award.
