Wow I just got casted as toffee and was looking for some inspiration and this toffee was absolutely amazing. I hope our show is even a quarter of how amazing this show was. If was in the audience, I would have given it major standing ovation. Absolutely Blown Away.
I'm not sure what's better, the show, the filming, or Jonny's incredible zombie makeup! I'm not sure what paint they used for him, but it was clearly very good since I didn't see a hint of it rubbing off. Also, I loved the hair.
I'm not sure about the application, but the paint was great. I've done zombie makeup on a show, and it can be hard to please directors, because there are so many different iterations of zombies. We went for a more.... natural? Zombie approach? Pale, bruised, sunken, and bloody, since that worked well with the play (Pride & Prejudice). I like that they went for a more cartoonish green look. It could have been more even, but it can be almost impossible to make lighter colors even with body paint.
My high school is performing this in late feb. I wish we had a set as nice as this one but most of the arts money gets wafted to the football and baseball teams. It's still gonna be great though, we have such a talented cast and I'm so happy to be in it!
this is from quite a bit ago but i’m planning to audition for her for my upcoming fall musical at my school. do you have any tips for auditioning/playing the character?
I’m about to audition for this show and I’ve loved this show since I was in about eighth grade and I really really really hope I get toffee!!! AHHH THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW. Update: I GOT CAST AS TOFFEE!!!!
what an amazing cast! this show is criminally underrated, i was in a production of it long ago and absolutely fell in love with everything about it. y'all did a fantastic job, bravo! 💕
I don't know about this performance, but I recently was in a rendition of this and Expose ended up being the pseudo centerpiece of the whole thing. After that number people kind of stopped caring about what happened to Jonny and Toffee, it was really that popular.
I'm in the show right now (playing Eddie) and we're doing Expose exactly as written and our dance is very sexual. I have no idea how it got past admin lmao
This production is fantastic! And while their Eddie has the character down perfectly he flubbed several lyrics in multiple songs. But he did recover well from all his mistakes and kept rolling.
when my school did this in 2018 we did some things very differently. 1) The chorus appeared in all of the school scenes and were utilized as Background students. 2) The smaller named roles were denoted in the programme as "Chorus leads" (Basically chorus actors that required a costume change) The "Chorus lead" roles were: The voices of Mom and dad (Who were actually given costume changes and appeared onstage), Sheila, The Stage manager, Ramona and the announcer. 3) The motorwise gang changed genders (We had an uneven split in the cast being overly female) 4) We used four triangular structures mounted on wheels for all of the scenes and the telephones in the bedroom scene were mounted on these triangles and the colours matched the wallpaper of the girl's bedrooms. 5) Jonny's offstage call outs during scene 1 were recorded professionally over being done live
My theater just announced that we are doing zombie prom next spring!!! I am so excited!!!! Edit: I got casted as Candy!!!! I am also understudy for Deliah Strict 😊
I love this production of Zombie Prom but one thing that really frustrates me is the fact that EVERY production I've seen so far goes by the cast recording version of the songs when that's NOT how the songs really go. Ya, it sounds cooler because they spice up the songs for the cast recording but the real versions of the songs often sound different and are easier to do. For example, I'm currently playing Ms. Strict in my school's production and we made the effort to order the official music books and let me tell you, "Rules, Regulations, and Respect" is WAY easier to sing when you sing the ACTUAL version meant for the show. It just disappoints me that they're not making the effort to teach the music properly and are only teaching the vocals by making them listen to the cast recording.
I'm not saying it was bad I really enjoy this production but both of you should check yourself I am just saying that toffee was a by flat and the harmonies were off I am a professional in musical theatre it's what I do for a career so forgive me for giving constructive criticism.
This show is insanely underrated.

Teja harper OMG ME 2!!!!!!!!
The guy who plays jonny looks like gibby from icarly
i can’t unsee it
the choreography of this show is so much fun and it really adds to the show. the vocals, especially toffee's, were absolutely killer.
This is my most favourite filmed and edited version of Zombie Prom... I think it is completely underrated and is awesome!!!
Miss Strict Oh my gosh so amazing these people have real talent!
So blown away by these guys!
Specially Miss Strict and Toffee´s girls! Amazing!
This was quite good... the person who played Miss Strict nailed the look and part.
Candy, Coco, and Ginger were cast PERFECTLY! As well as Ms. Strict. So excited to open as Toffee in two weeks! Great job to this cast. 💚💗
Currently practicing this musical for the part of Jonny, and I absolutely love this recording of it! All the actors did such a good job :)

I’m doing this show in about 2 weeks! I’m very excited but nervous! Also this is the best version of zombie prom I’ve seen! Love the choreography!
how the heck is their choreo so complex? this is a high school??
Kentadoodle y’all think the choreo is hard?? Man this really lowered my expectations going into hs
@@trishfish6914 Ik im late but this aint high school...
Its in scotland and they r mostly at the age of 13-15 so S2-S4
I go to that school and it used to be much better before but its still one of the best in my city
@@zarifahmed2589 lmao this is in ohio
I cannot believe they left in the "Expose" duet and all the double entendres. Not complaining (I love that number), just surprised

This was great. My school is about to start rehearsing for this musical and we currently have a cast of about 60 people. It should be interesting
Johnnyboy99 I wish our cast was that big. Ours only has 28 people
@@erinshinkle6543 Are you kidding? Our cast had about thirteen.
Y’all, try doing Footloose with 50+ people
MetalMan1245 hahahahaha try 10
ours has 23 lol
My school just did this play, and I LOVE IT! It was a 1 day show tho, but it was so good I went to UA-cam and found this! JUST AS GOOD AS MY SCHOOL!
Just found this, I got to comment of how cool the set is.
I got Casted as Toffee and im seeing this for Inspiration and let me just say that i love this and i keep watching it!!! Such a great job!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
this comment is 3 years old but I'm curious how your shows went lol! I also am going to be playing toffee in April
I’m literally blown away by this performance! I’m auditioning for Toffee this summer so I wanted to hear all the songs again, and everyone killed it!
I've seen Zombie prom before but my local theatre is (hopefully) putting it on at some point so I figured I should brush up.
Major shout out to that random guy who coughs loudly right after Good As It Gets.
I just got cast as Toffee!! in my community theatres spring production
I'm doing this show with my theatre group this summer, I'm going for Ms.Strict!
this musical is so good and cute!
And that, kids, is how Fallout started. CX

I'm actually going to be on this show for theater camp. So excited!
I'm so excited. My school is doing a play on this and I love the music. I'm in theater so I have no choice to audition but I don't mind

I love how there’s always that one person that coughs during a show LMAO
This is INSANLY GOOD
Great production.
The miss strict was incredible, the best part of it!!
this cast is amazing omg
Plus, I thought the whole plot twist with jonny being her son was mind blowing.
My theater just announced that we are doing zombie prom next spring!!! I am so excited!!!!
Edit: I got casted as Candy!!!! I am also understudy for Deliah Strict 😊
This is an amazing production! The one thing that bothers me is Mrs Strict saying "nucular" xD
Love it

Anett Yukkine you'll get the sympathy vote (because her boyfriend just committed suicide)
hi, i am the actor who performed this line, and i'd like to apologize for having the misconception that loud = better acting lol
Was this high school of college?
It's good. The music is just very slow in comparison to the original and other versions.
Swagg Dinkle I concur
Swagg Dinkle
Is it? I guess my school is using the same music because it sounds exactly the same pretty much.

This story makes no sense
GavMiPie that's the best thing about this show 😂 it was made as a kind of spoof of grease and it's so much fun to perform in
Ok...........um ......noNo noNoNoNoNo
nicole gonzales why noNonoNoNo...
nicole gonzales haha yeah
Singing could have been a better
So could your grammar.
Awkward Eb burn!!!

it isn't constructive criticism if you aren't giving feedback on what they could improve on, but whatever floats your boat
Nice try random johny werner but your singing needs work
Yo mama need work
why dafuq is Mrs Strict on a wheel chair. Bad choice of casting or idea.
I actually thinks it fits this version very well. She's a fantastic, and I'm glad it's not mentioned because it adds a layer of mystery.
Lyndsey Davis honestly I felt like she was the best actress in the whole play
Godzillasaur Buttersworth I don't disagree with you. She was fantastic.
bc the actress is in a wheelchair? and she's absolutely the best ms strict ive ever seen.
I think the wheel chair made her character even more badass
I love how there’s always that one person that coughs during a show LMAO
