Anyone following this video, before you even try to start the car after you have changed the fuel filter, prime it with an hand held prime bulb, loads on the bay, do this and the car will start first time every time. you will not get any diesel mess, only use good fuel filters.
Brilliant and clear instructions? I have a 2014 Freelander that needs the electronic handbrake button replacing as the metal has come off and its like a razorblade. Do you know how how its done?

Thanks a lot very helpful.
Surely it’s good practice to replace the washer on the sump plug every time.
What code reader do you use to clear faults great video by the way will tackle mine now
Hi, I use thinkdiag
Just a hand pump on the other side of the filter would have done the trick straight away, as that’s what I do and I have no problem.
Yeah. And not dumping the old crap into the new filter is also a good start.
what make is your plug in fault reader and were can i get one please.....can you get back to me will it work with a samsung phone ?
Hi the diagnostic is called ThinkDiag and it will work on a Samsung phone, you can buy it on line or ebay
Thanks so much looks good ,will jump on ebay thanks Gordy..
Think i would have started the car after charging the oil and oil filter at a lot less than 2000 RPM. Then moved on to air filter and fuel filter.
I think i can do it but have to buy the tools first.
Don’t you turn on the ignition and let the pump run for a while before trying to start it. That’s how it primes itself
