One other question for you, "The Fix" at 16:15 in the vid, where you are removing the sump oil drain plug, you thought that the sump plug might have a lock on it, was this in fact the case, or was it simply pressure from the screwdriver enough to open it? Just one comment to make on another wise excellent video, when replacing the oil filter in its location tube, the filter has a little nipple on it,, so I presume that as it has "O" rings fitted, it has a specific placement within its Tube? Its not clear from the video where it goes exactly, unless there's only one unmistakeable location? Thanks,

As a retired mechanic and welder I'd not place much faith in those welds. I don't want to knock anyone doing their best to do a good job. But there are times when a proper professional job is the only way to go. Given the potential safety implications if this all falls apart I think plating over rust is one of the worst ways to do a repair. Until the rust is cut out how does anyone know if the area below id structurally sound? I think if the old chassis were fully gound back you'd find its rotten beyond safe repair- IMHO

Own W213 E220d for 4 years now. Few months ago we moved house and local garage I used for service filled my car with 0w/20. Pretty sure all the years before my previous garage used 5w/30. When I questioned the new garage they said that is what Mercedes recommends for this engine🤷 Will call Mercedes dealer tomorrow but when I checked online you can actually find articles recommending 0w/20 saying that’s the best what you can use on that car. What’s your thoughts about that? Thanks

Anyone looking to fix P0471, P0101, P2262, the exhaust pressure sensor can be the reason for all of these faults. I started with P0101- MAF sensor readings out of range. After spending £280 on an OEM part from Mazda, still had the same issues. MPG was poor, turbo boost was poor and acceleration was half what I expected. This £80 fix saved me ££££ in garage fees and as a complete car novice, I was able to follow along with this video and solve the issues. Thanks ever so much.

You're supposed to use the piece of hose that came with that upgrade kit as it is a heavy duty hose that won't blow out eventually like happen to my exhaust pressure sensor when it failed on my cx5. I hope this helps.

You Should have weded the hole's up in the plate and clean underneath the new plate and Turn up the power of the mig so you get Penetration of both metals, the job is only half done, And looks Awful 😢

I can see that you may not reply but I have to ask; Youre jacking the engine up and down and moving it backwards and forwards - Did you disconnect the exhaust pipe to do that as there is no way there is that amount of flex in the Corsa exhaust system.

Super glue would have been stronger than those welds

Very good video, everything explained, with good camera work, showing each and every part of the job as the work progressed. Without the dipstick, now you must save and keep every drop of the old engine oil, and put the exact same qty back in. In the older w212 merc, you had the dipstick to rectify the + or - oil level after a change, but now?????? Have you a vid of a transmission fluid change for the same car? With the 9g transmission?

try putting a bit of grease on the tap to catch the shavings, I also flushed through with a liter of cheap oil after cutting new thread

We replaced the front SAM unit on our c220 CDI w203. Car won't crank and getting errors C1038 and C1022. All fuses and relays are fine. Any ideas ?
