New Zealand experiences a lot of earthquakes. So sheet roofing is what is used. A falling cement or slate tile from even the slightest earth tremor could kill someone
interesting to see how things are done abroad, over here in Eastern Europe we mostly do masonry/brick structures, framed wooden structures are not that common, piles are very rare except high-rises or very complicated geology, shingles prevail steel roofs.
Privacy Bund to shelter from the road. It will get planted out with natives. It has drainage in front of it and house platform is higher than surrounding land
Beautiful House!,:D Any details about how to ventilate the roof? I've a doubt about whether you are using a vent soffit or a ventilated roof-deck cavity above underlay roof?
Be interesting to know if the chimney hitting the steel was known after the as-built/consented plans were done. I guess depending on design, could easy be changed at design stage.
I don't understand why in the United States they build their houses with such fragile materials and in such an unsafe way. Anyone who passes by that road can shoot at the house, passing through the walls as if it were butter. Apart from the fact that anyone passing by can easily get into that house. In Mexico, that house would have a high fence or would be inside a gated community with surveillance.
@@philipmcfarlane Ok, I thought it was the United States, since it is the same way of building with dry wall. All societies have criminals, maybe in New Zealand it is not common for people to shoot at houses, but if some crazy person decided to do it, that house would not protect anyone since the walls are made of something similar to plywood.

me too! especially when the drawing, displayed at 1:38 "ground floor and foundation plan" says that all piles - 300 mm diameter bored concrete piles x 1500 DEII
What is the square meter rate for this build including design and council fees?
Love how you guys say deck.
Then you'll love this video ua-cam.com/video/zP7yfetbh5I/v-deo.html
What is that dark gray siding? It looks great
Love your work if only I could afford to do that up in fairwiew
How long did this build take from start to what you showcased?
Nice house. I like the stone cladding. What is the R rating of the wall and ceiling insulation?
Lovely tin roof. Why do you not use roof tiles or slate.

It’s lighter, cheaper and easier to install.
Looks fantastic! A great design I think for liveability. I didn't think it was a good idea to put EV chargers internally though?

I heard it’s very difficult to get a nice house in New Zealand. Good work, congrats on the build.
They are all shitty little wooden boxes that you pay rediculous prices for.. absolute madness..
What is the dirt berm in front of the house for? Seems like a future drainage issue.
Doing jumps on ya BMX

And this :)
Do you/customer engage a property Valuer prior to commencing to obtain finance for the build? 😊

How can I get this plans I want exactly a house just like this one
Amazing. Thanks for sharing
I'm sorry, after you built it,os there any chance that you have this house plan to let for free? 😊
How much did it cost to build?

Thought the same, would have been possible to have made allowance for this within the steel if it had been picked up during the design phase..
A good design and a quality build. Too good.
Друг, скинь пожалуйста проект этого дома . Очень красивый дом и практичная планировка.❤
but why the walls of cardboard? in Europe we use bricks
Earthquakes
@@EleutheriaBeth we have plenty of Earthquakes in Europe and nobody builds with cardboard. we use stone bricks.
This house isn’t from the 1400’s. Drywall is the standard now.
@@Paradoxical124 , not in Europe. We still use solid walls
What is the rough cost to build something like this in NZ?
expensive :)
Why does NZ use pre made frames?
Beautiful house but the rooflight flashing being off centre is making me itch XD
What was the total cost for the house only /please do not include the driveways and landscaping.

Firstly it's in New Zealand not in the United States which means that secondly no-one is driving by and shooting at it, so it's a win/win.

An this will cost at least US$600000! Madness..
Sir....I have skill for wood working, wood carving and specially metalwelding.... Are you hiring helper?
The wooden pile drives bothers me..... apart from that its a very high spec.
Venice rests on wooden piles on marshes. I’m sure one house on land will be fine
@@MrJoeSomebody Why not just do poured concrete with reo ?

Hope the garage is fire proofed as in Australia insurance companies are refusing to insure electric cars parked inside
Fucking made of wood it's no good for weather elements😅😅
SUPER!!!!
