Come along with us for our 90 Day Report at Bangkok's Immigration Building. We took the BTS Green Line to the Pink Line and rode it all the way out.
How did things turn out in the end??
We were rejected when trying to report online, so we had No Choice but to show up and do it there.
If you came from the Pink Line. There's no need to walk on the ground. There's a Skywalk connected directly from the station to the car park building that has been converted into a Skypark, the Skypark connected directly to the Immigration Office and it's shaded all the way. The signage on the Monorail station might not show that, because the Skywalk and the Skypark is a very recent addition.

You can find the skywalk connected to Exit no. 3 in the left. You just missed it by choosing exit no.4 in your right hand.

I went for my 90 day reporting yesterday too - 1) need Passport, 2) TM 47 filled out, 3) print out of any TM 30 (Informed). I arrived about 8:30 AM, long line to get Queue ticket but the line moved fast - my Queue number was 102 - finished about 11:00 AM. It seems there is a huge crowd first thing in the morning - that going to Immigrayion in late morning might be workable.
Seeing my old workplace almost made me cry. Two years have passed since I resigned. Government Complex Chaengwattana in the past, before there was a skytrain. Especially during the rainy season, there was heavy traffic. If anyone goes to renew their visa at the government complex, they will understand. Especially after work in the evening, it was very difficult for office workers and foreigners to travel. But now there is a skytrain, it is much more convenient. Every day, I still think of a Swedish or Swiss girl who could speak Thai. We almost dated, what a shame. In the end, she asked for a Line, but I gave her my old Line number. Every day, I really want to see her.

I have always done my 90 day reporting in person (both in Pattaya and in Bangkok)...over 10 years and never a problem....Cheers

It sure was a breeze in Hua Hin and we used to live across the street from where we could do it 😅
It only takes only a few minutes to file an extension request on the internet, followed by the receipt of a 90-day extension form by internet on either the same or following day.
True, unless you’ve just moved to a new place. Then it MUST be done in person. Or you’ll be rejected online as we were.

90 day check in Chaku..every 90 days we have to check in. Hopefully we can do it online in November ☺️

The hubs and I are moving to Koh samui in 23 days. We are debating on whether to try and do our retirement visas ourselves or hire an agent. We’re hearing two sides to the story and I feel like it’s something we should try on our own first what’s your two cents on that? Agent no agent?
Thanks so much! You know, it's honestly a personal choice with everyone as we have found out. But to make life easier, I would say Agent. Especially for your first initial Visa. It's the most tricky to do in our opinion.

Do you ever plan trips out of the country to avoid the 90 day requirement? If you’re going to go somewhere, why not plan it (if possible) to avoid going right after you got your 90 day permit.
We actually do not. It's normally not such a big deal as you do them online after your first initial one after a move. We have 2 dogs which complicates just dropping everything and jumping on a plane..but it's most absolutely an option for people if they don't want to fill out the form.
great video. Curious I was watching one of Chris Parker's videos and there is now a 5 year retirement visa with multiple exit and entries. Does that visa not work for you? Thanks again for the education.
Thanks Gary! Yes, we watched Chris’s video too! We were tempted, but we also know how things change here so often in Thailand and we didn’t want to get that one only to possibly have them discontinue it after a five years and then have to go through reapplying for our Retirement Visa we have now.
