Kevin is the beat boxer/percussionist, but he also has a beautiful voice & sings occasionally, He sings in 'Mary did you know' & he has the voice of an angel too.The gal is Kirstin, the tall blonde guy is Scott & the newest member, replacing Avi, is Matt in the white jacket. The little guy in the middle is Mitch & people are so shocked at some of the notes he hits that it is called being 'Mitch Slapped'. Hallelujah does that & Avi is still in the group on that video. These people are amazing. If you haven't seen 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by these guys, you must watch it. In fact you should check out 'Queens' version first, so you can see how spectacular these guys are at making music. Amazing! Sound of silence is originally Simon & Garfunkel song & then 'Disturbed' did another version & all 3 are fabulous & they are all like 3 different tunes.
Kevin is probably the most talented of the group. They are all incredible, but Kevin is not only the best beat boxer, but he has a beautiful voice and he's a classical musician. Please listen to Kevin Olusola's version of Mariana Hill's song Down.
Great song to start with but they took it to another level for me. The combination of their voices and creative arrangements are unbeatable. More, please. Thanks for posting.
If this is the first time you've heard "Sound of Silence," not just the first time you've heard Pentatonix's rendition, you really should listen to the original, by Simon and Garfunkel. You might also like to hear the cover that Disturbed did, which has an angry feel to it. Of the three, I think Pentatonix's version is the best, but I'm prejudiced in their favor.
Pentatonix is outstanding. They are so vocally strong. Great reaction. Have you reacted to "Lets Get It on", The Prayer, Amazing Grace to name a few? All incredibly fantastic.
Nice! I love PTX along with their side projects that they do as individuals, as duos, or groups. I love everything that they do -- upgrades to covers, their originals, and their Christmas music. I was starting to hate Christmas music after working in retail for a few years because it was the same thing over and over again with no variation but PTX took it and upgraded it and recreated the genre for which I am thankful for. I have too many favorites from them so I suggest like the others to go to their page and just select one that you think looks awesome. If you really want me to suggest a few try: Happy Now, Coffee in Bed, Attention, The Prayer, Misbehavin, Can't Sleep Love, Natural Disaster, La la Latch, Havana, Shallow, Say Something, etc. Yea there is a lot! Lol
Funny that you mentioned the differences of the people, if you hanen't then you REALLY need to watch their version of Imagine. They actually go into that very subject, and more.
If you want to just have some fun on one of their videos, check out their original Sing. It has a lot of fans and celebrities and is just a blast. Oh and when they say cut at the end keep going. And another fun one is Wizard of Ahhhs with Todrick Hall, you'll love it.
Nice reaction! I think Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel would find nothing to complain about, here. It's a fantastic arrangement and beautifully performed. They did in concert in Singapore and Japan this past week. I'm hoping they will continue to include it on the North American leg of their tour.
Okay, so, I’m more than a little upset with UA-cam for waiting until TODAY to recommend your channel to me! I’ve been a Pentaholic for YEARS, you’ve been reacting to them for awhile now and I’m just hearing about you!? I checked out your channel and have listened to all of your PTX reactions starting with the oldest and am finishing up with this one. Wanted to say that I have enjoyed them all and I’ve just subscribed. I would love for you to react to Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone, The Prayer, their original Sing (be sure to watch that to the very end) and my personal fav of all of their songs, their cover of Rather Be. I start every morning off with Rather Be, no lie.
I’m glad that you were able to find my channel! pentatonix all have amazing voices and I’m excited to listen to more of their videos that I haven’t yet so more videos coming really soon
it is hard to recommend songs as they do every genre and other languages. they can rap. they do original music too which i like a lot. it might be more fun for you to pick songs from their page that spark your interest. one of their most reccent is 'prayers for this world',
Thank you for reacting to this beautiful Pentatonix video. They are incredible. I have plenty of reaction suggestions. A few are: "Amazing Grace", "Evolution Of Rihanna", "The Prayer", "Come Along", "Mad World", "Happy Now", "Shallow", "Havana", "I Just Called To Say I Love You", "My Heart With You", "Be My "Eyes", "Love Me When I Don't", "Sing", "New Rules x Are You That Somebody?", "Butter x Dynamite", "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?", and "Attention" . Everything that they do is awesome.
New subscriber here. I had to pause after just a couple of min, you channel has the best sound of any I have ever listened to. The bass is amazing. Most channels have kind of a hollow sound even if the speaking isn't the music is and this was so good.
Nice reaction! I think it's Kevin who's doing those bell tones in this song. Usually Mitch and/or Kirstie do them, but I'm used to their voices and it sounds like Kevin this time.
I love the way you put that - everyone is being used, instead of just one person doing the heavy lifting with everyone else just doing back-up

You can’t beat PTX, their upgrades are the best!
Recommend their cover of Shallow.
They do a wonderful "upgrade" of Mad World too!! Great reaction! This is one of my favorites by them!
Thank you for noting the teamwork. I think their motto is 'leave the ego at the door.'

Listen carefully to the way Mitch enunciate his words when he sings! It’s amazing!

You mentioned the diversity of the group. You need to watch the video of the song imagine it is incredible.

My favorite is their Bohemian Rhapsody. Also their amazing harmonies in Amazing Grace and The Prayer will give goose bumps.

Respectfully, you don't know Paul Simon then...
@@hempchimp 🤣 now that you mention it...
Kevin (the beatboxer) has a beautiful voice. Hope you hear it soon. "Amazing Grace" is one...among many. He's a straight up genius.
Please react to their Ariana Grande Medley, their Rihanna medley or the 90s dance medley!!! They’re all so much fun and show so much creativity
PTX 🔥❤️🙌

Thank you for that feedback and the sub. Welcome to the Hatley Hour family!

Recommendations: Coffee In Bed, Be My Eyes, Happy Now, New Rules/Are You That Somebody.
Just as impressive is two men and one guitar
Sounds good! You might also be interested in Geoff Castellucci’s version of this song. It was just released today.
