Jamaican Sorrel is a flavorful drink that is usually enjoyed around Christmas time , but the health benefits of the hibiscus flower make this a drink that should definitely be enjoyed all year round. We are going to make keto-friendly Jamaican sorrel that will taste exactly like the traditional drink but without the sugars that will spike our insulin levels. I planted the roselle hibiscus sorrel last year too late and it didn't get to flower😭 it takes about 6 months🙌🏽 I'll try again in the spring. Looks sooooo delicious 😋

This is it right here sis my sorrel is all done Kat is not a fan of it but I change it up this year. I add passion fruit to it 😎😎☺️☺️ she went in on it happy she like it. Your mix looking real good 👍

Girl!!!! not gonna lie I have 2 lbs in my freezer I use fresh sorrel bulbs being that mi deh a yaad.😏😏 but I plan to freeze as much as my budget allows so I'll have it through the year. But ☝️☝️ I will be missing the green gungo rice and peas 🤤😢 you know what I won't get fall too far off the wagon pray for me you know how Jamaican Christmas dinner go😂

I saw a post where they didn't boil it, they just blend it with coconut water strain it in a nut bag and add cane juice if you wanted to be sweet.

Not sure, i can find out but I know they use dates to sweetener it. I was out there in November and when I tasted the drink I was like oh this is sorrel but not with the intense ginger as we Jamaicans love it. #Jamaican Igbo
The Nigerian Zobo drink is cooked with pineapple or pineapple juice. They don't seem to make it sit more than a few hours.

The only keto friendly sweetener is allulose or monk fruit.
I currently enjoy Stevia and skinny syrups, but I am thankful for the many keto friendly sweetener recipes options that don’t spike my insulin.
Has this affected your cycle any. I think it causes mine to last longer
I didn’t notice any negative changes to my cycle after drinking this. I would probably have to drink it more often to notice that change.
Hibiscus flowers and sorrel are not the same. Jamaican sorrel is diff even though they call them hibiscus. Also, purified water is much better rather than tap water full of impurities.
They are the same. Provide proof is otherwise please.
