Matt, I'd like for you to talk about something. I'm not a tournament fisherman, so I enjoy hearing you guys talk tactics and strategies. You do a lot of bait presentations, and you always say you've caught a ton of fish on a particular bait. And that may be 30 or 40 different lures. When you go to a tournament in the south, in the north, in the middle, how many different baits do you realistically have tied on, and how many different baits will you typically throw in a tournament setting? I'm aware this will vary, but on average?
The 5 inch Berkley Drip Swimmer did great, ran it on a keel weighted swimbait hook and slowly reeled it on the bottom. Only thing I could get bit on that day.
The big jerk shad would definitely be a fish catcher in the saltwater. It looks good for lots of species. The shape of the Berkley perch is nice, I'd like a different color but that one probably would work for redfish. I plan to try A rigs this year for flounder. Looks like you got a bunch of good stuff.
That perch colored drip minnow is the best looking perch ive seen. Im ready to hook up to the boat and head south. Its going to get cold here in NY next week
It's so bad I filled up the bath tub and bought some goldfish to turn loose in it. I just can't find a Snoopy pole anywhere nearby. Just Joshing. Seriously though. Thanks Matt
Just send them down here to me in Florida and I'll be happy to test them for you for the rest of the winter and send you a detailed report with photos on how they worked. All unused baits will be returned to you by providing a postage paid box as well ... 🤪
Hello man! I am a subscriber from Brazil! I can't purshase anything from TacleWarehose, Sorry. But I have a question. Have you ever used a "in line" hook on your "treble hook" lures? I mean like top Walter lures, end etc. The salt water fisherman uses a lot. Well I hope to see a video on this, the lures become more weedless and the fish get realy hooked you don't miss them. I've been yoused in a lot of lures, like deep cranks, blade baits, and tops also...
I’m going to get some of them and put a line through tube and put a #2 o top and bottom of the basstrix 7” maybe even put a screw in built weight to get it down deeper in that 15’ to 25’ range. Bet it will also be good on top and grass mats like a eel or lizard on top then drop into the holes. Real slow and fall 💥 or even on a big power shot. It looks like it’s got the wag. But a hook in it and see if she’ll shag😉😎 I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS ONE ITS GOT THE WEIGHT TO 2-3X as for as a frog. Looking for the kicker + Big Bass of the day and or tournament.
B4 you start, I know you will showcase hover baits and perhaps Berkley. Yes on the Basstrix. Yes on the small A-rig. I still think yours is too big. Mine is super compact. Probably 3 inches wide or less. No on those hover baits. There's only one hover I want and that's 10x.

On average i have 25 rods rigged for a tournament with different baits usually 12-16 on the deck of the boat and the rest rigged and in the rod box

Thank you Matt if you're all Frozen up come on down to Dallas will go fishing😊
I might have to take you up on that offer!
I think the basstrix was made for halibut and white sea bass in southern California. At least a similar bait has been hot the last couple of years.
