I would really like to see in depth tests of all aspects of floro Vs braid vs mono. Casting distance, wear and tear times, etc. sure enjoyed what you gave us, want more.
Great video! I remember when you started fishing chick and got in with the guys with the K9 fishing line. For the price k9 is great but when there’s money on the line, sun line all day every day! I just remember you having so many issues with K9 Breaking. It’s amazing to see how good of an angler you have become! You’re skipping skills have to be the best in the business.
TEAM WELCHER is a great representative and spokesperson for any sponsor's products... Good stuff behind the scene !!! Best Wishes to TEAM WELCHER 2025 !!!
I was always told fluorocarbon is harder to fray up but once it's done things like mono and copolymers handle it a bit better especially on smaller diameter lines... Now if thats true I don't really know... Personally I don't use a bunch of straight mono anymore I've moved to straight braid and braid with a mono leader for stuff on top or straight FC Sniper and Shooter for anything under the surface. Love these videos man!!!
I can tell you first hand that sunline shooter absoloutly makes a big difference on spinning reels. I get way less twist & wind knots since switching to it this past year. And the 6lb is super strong.
Yep, I fish tons and big game works just as good as the expensive mono. Flouro I go mid-grade, and braid ... what ever is cheapest and never had an issue.
It's amazing how much thought and testing is is put into fishing line and man how you like that plane ride to Japan a buddy of mine went to Japan he said damn its along way lol
I feel like mono fishes better. The cost difference is significant to some people. I feel like Flouro is severely weakened if you stretch it to the breaking point when you get snagged? I’ve also fished with mono for 60 years and like ffs I don’t feel like I would benefit from changing as much as the people that profit off these new products would. I’m good with mono I know what to expect.
Yeah I’m pretty sure he uses 22 pound flipping and pitching. In the fall if he’s throwing a jig 3/8 ounce, I believe he uses 18 to get more bites but 90% of the time this man is flipping 22
It's apples to oranges comparing fluorocarbon to mono. Compare Shooter to Sniper, there is a great discrepancy in price between the two but they won't do that because Sniper (the cheaper one) would loose and that is the most popular of the two because of price. Compare Seaguar Red Label to Sniper and let's see who wins. This video is misleading to say the least.
That was cool to see the whole process of line
That was sick! Glad to see you killing it buddy!
Thanks man. I really appreciate it
That was really cool, Kyle. Keep up the great footage and the best of luck to you this year .

Me too I wish I could have tested for days

I’m the same way I don’t use mono anymore
That was pretty interesting, thanks for the information 👍
Mind blowing to see how the line is stretched

Are you using any braid or just the shooter? Thanks
Agree for sure
I use big game mono, flouro and power pro braid
Yep, I fish tons and big game works just as good as the expensive mono. Flouro I go mid-grade, and braid ... what ever is cheapest and never had an issue.
Great info, thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Tyler Berger has some good videos on line and knot strength.

sunline is king dingaling of the flouro. have you done a video of what lb test you run for different techniques?

I usually comment when I’m using it what I use but I try to go as heavy as possible. Porthos is right I lean on 22
Wonder what a bulk spool of that 1000# test would cost ? ......... 🤣
More than I can afford
Reinforces my preference for Sunline FC Sniper
I understand that
Thanks for info.
Thanks for watching
Awesome brother
Appreciate it man!
Good stuff
Thank you
Ok Kyle. I'll try Fluro for a season.

They do compare shooter to sniper. Shooter does win abrasion testing it’s a better quality that’s why it costs more
Should of taped over 13 then asked about getting the hook up with shimano lol.
Need more truth series
I agree
I’m going to use that 1000lbs test as weed eater string
Lets see your Japanese FISHING LICENSE!👀👁😁👍
This is cool. I’m a nerd.
We both are
Konnichiwa!
Japan holy cow did you see pikachu #justgettinstarted
I just missed it
I dont think you fish with that 1000# line they stretch it to make it into smaller # test
They told me it was finished. Idk what you would do with it
Kid in a candy store lol
No doubt
