Honestly, when I saw it. I always thought it was due to Todoroki's ice sticking on him from the last fight and he just managed to do it because it was there lol.
I think the anime didn't focus enough on that fact. In the chapter it is adapting, they removed the Geten scene in prison where it sets up that reveal more.
I love this episode and the Todoroki family in general. Endeavor sees that Touya on the brink of death is able to utilize Rei's quirk. This isn’t some sign that Touya was the son Enji wanted all along. This is showing Endeavor, "Hey, look. Touya's quirk is finally what you wanted it to be. But your son had to be pushed to the brink of death to make it happen. Was it really worth it?" Everything that Endeavor has ever wanted is slapping him in the face because of how much it hurt his family. So he prepares to take the hurt and vanish along with Touya. Except that doesn't happen. Unlike with Hood and AFO, Endeavor isn't allowed to burn away with a Prominence Burn. Endeavor's arc is about atonement. Death is the easy way out for him. Actually facing what he's done is much harder. Rei felt that she also failed Touya. So she saves both him and Endeavor. The rest of the family has had their chance to hear Endeavor's apology and atonement. Touya has not. So Endeavor is not allowed to die. Speaking of Touya, he finally has the attention of the entire family but it has to be under such cruel circumstances. He wishes it could've happened sooner and thinks that he doesn't want to die yet. There are still moments he wants to experience. But he still hates Endeavor. And a part of him still hates what living represents. So he pours those feelings out and tells how he really feels. And Endeavor listens. Endeavor watches Touya and embraces his emotions. Two things he didn't do when Touya was a kid. This path forward wasn't forged just because of Shoto. It wasn't forged just because of Endeavor and Rei. But all of the family coming together.
Seeing a comment like this genuinely able to appreciate the character for what it is and not just outright hate him and not recognize how good his character is despite his past wrongdoings like other fans would (Twitter) gives me hope in the fandom
@@Fuuploobope you have hope?! jeez your a special one here i thought no one had hope in this community with twitter and tik tok XD but this is a great analysis
Fun fact: All Might was carrying that briefcase and driving that car during Deku's vigilante arc, so whatever he's about to do he's been ready to do for a while.
6:33 Toya only awakened Rei's quirk because he was on the verge of death, so even if Endeavor had been a good dad Toya would only get both quirks in an extreme situation like that one
But look at the way in which his latent abilities would’ve developed had he been given a chance and a better father. There’s a reality, where if Endeavor been more involved in raising Toya and fostering an environment where his powers came naturally other than to be forced in order to be of use, he could’ve been everything Endeavor would’ve wanted him to be. And come a scenario where he’s in a life and death situation, his evolution would’ve been on the other side of the spectrum. Sure, he would potentially die, but to have died a hero in the process of pushing himself to the absolute limit, would’ve been a far better send off, than to have become the bane of society. On one side, he’d of died a hero protecting his own, but in what we have now, he’s the complete antithesis of what a heroic death would be.
Was about to say this, just because if endeavor would've been a good n was there for them herpes risk their life all the time so he wouldve eventually awakened which I thought was the whole point of the scene n what endeavor realized is that his first son was everything that he wanted and envisioned but he was blind and selfish and couldn't see that he already had what he was wanting
@@picthis870 i doubt he would have awakened the ice. look how much he got burnt BEFORE awakening it. not even burning himself to death at sekoto peak made it happen
@@leonardohenrique5172 the whole point of that scene was to show that endeavor should of believed in his son and toya would of at some point developed it
@4:20 remember that quirks are like muscles they can get stronger and develop over time and with specific training.. Ida and all of class A been doing quirk training since like season 3 so this just showed how far he's come with his.. also stain recognized his heroism which was dope asf!
4:15 Lida's engine exhausts have been larger since their class A vs class B training arc, when he ripped out his old, smaller pipes and new big ones came in.

Horikoshi is a master of emotional story telling. I'm with you Roshi that the Todoroki family's story is the most impactful part of the show. The final scene is a supreme gut punch. I feel so bad for Toya. Great reaction as always.
10:00 This hit me so hard for some reason. "Everybody's burned" hits the right tones for the events that transpired. Because Toya suffered the worst burns and Shoto was burned by his Mom, as well as Natsuo and Fuyumi essentially ignored (cold burn ironically) for being "failed experiments". Now, everyone was burned in some way by all of these events
So a fun lil thing to note, Dabi was crying at the end of the episode. Awhile ago he said his tearducts burned away so he couldnt cry, yet he cried tears at the end here. I thought it was a nice little detail they added.
All the hates are coming from animation. Idk which team in charge for MHA but after season 4 the animation kinda lacking and not consistent at all. Compare to mob psycho season 1 to finale with consistent animation. 1 or 2 episodes great animation cant justify for whole season. People now so used to amazing animation coming from Ufotable, Mappa and Wit Studio etc and now Bones pumping new episodes with subpar animation is a big letdown. You can argue and deny storyline is more important but animation makes the anime more enjoyable.
This episode got me on two accounts: 1. It proves that Todoroki truly is the hero of his family. 2. The fact that a piece of Toya’s mother was with him as a part of his quirk and keeping him safe from his own flames this whole time, just like how Garra’s sand was his mother, just broke me as a son with a good mom. 🤧🤧🤧
@KJetixsSuccessor Im talking about how she was before shoto was born (aka before the abuse started) she neglected touya too because she was scared if his eyes (and then she was scared of endeavor's eyes because they reminded her of touya's
Every time I think this season has peaked it’s gotten even better man, this is unreal. I’m so glad Bones has done this season so much justice this episode was top 5 in MHA easily😭🙏
Endeavor has to have one of the best redemption arcs of the entire show aside from Bakugo. Him crying and apologizing to all of his family made me sob my eyes out. Bones cooked with this episode! Absolutely peak, the animation, acting and story was absolutely incredible! Wonderful reaction as always!
Toya unlocking an ice quirk on the verge of death is a very haunting idea. It shows Endeavor that he could have gotten everything he wanted from his first child. But, he had to risk that child’s life in order to achieve his dream. He had a choice. He could either have his son or his dream. Not both. Shows the extent of Endeavor’s failures with his family. It took all of them together to stop Toya. Not even Shoto’s Great Glacial Aegir was enough to stop Toya alone. It took all of the Todoroki clan coming together to neutralize all of that heat and save all of those people. The Masegaki kids were right to put their trust into Five Wee Wees 😁 Also Iida achieving transonic speed equivalent to a fighter jet was amazing. He needed Shoto to constantly produce ice to reduce resistance then needed Shoto to create a layer of air with his heat to reduce friction in order to achieve that speed, but the feat is nonetheless impressive. Love the quirk combos 🤩
No, Shouto ice is the one that stops the heat ball completely, if not for him everyone including the family be dead. I don't know why people refuse to give this boy credit
@@TheYoungGeninSasuke Watch the scene again. He literally says that Great Glacial Aegir wasn’t enough as Toya raised his firepower higher than their last fight. It’s said plain as day. Horikoshi wanted the whole family there to stop Toya. The whole family was needed. Not just Shoto. The manga goes into even more detail with the scene about Shoto not being the masterpiece that Endeavor wanted and how he couldn’t tread the uncharted territory that Toya could. Toya’s firepower was greater than what Shoto could stop by himself. That’s okay because the whole point of the series is that heroes shouldn’t have to bear their responsibility alone and quirks shouldn’t be the end all be all when it comes to a person’s value.
Fun fact Lida and Todoroki hit transonic speed which is between Mach 0.8 - 1.2 (600-900 miles per hour) they were flying close to the speed of sound 💀 them boys were hauling ass
MHA is shaping up to THE anime of the Year. This episode hit every millennial in the chest seeing a parent apologize for their mistakes when parenting.
This episode was so good that it had me tearing up the whole way. Shoutout to all the animators and horikoshi for making the todoroki storyline absolute peak❤️❤️🙏
What crazy is that Ida’s legs will probably get even stronger once he takes them out again since they look too damaged (Since once he takes out his engines even stronger ones will regrow)
Alright. This episode in my opinion is one of if not THE most hyped up episode among the manga readers going into this season. And I spent the last few hours draining the pool I wept watching it because they did this episode ALL of the justice it deserves. The evacuees are watching Deku fight Shigaraki and it just can't be denied. Deku has AGAIN unleashed a new level of OFA. I can't for certain say its 100% complete YET (that requires Deku just throwing restraint to the wind and NOT breaking his arms) but judging by the gigantic energy tornado that are All-Might's trademark, we are looking at no less than 90% moved up from an estimated 75% at the start of the war. Not only does OFA get stronger the more it's controlled, but I have no doubt it also stockpiles FASTER too. With no confirmation what energy is NOT stockpiled we can assume released energy goes right back home as well which is why OFA only ever gets stronger. So at these REALLY high percentages, stockpiling ONLY gets easier. At 90% controlled even if only moment of impact that puts Deku at an astonishing Mach 24.3 for what he's controlling and Mach 27 if he decides to unleash 100%/use Fa Jin which at this point I don't even know if 100% breaks his arms anymore! (With Gearshift and Fa Jin, Deku is at Mach 33.75 but we kinda need him to breathe right now) All we need to know is that Deku is holding back Shigaraki with his bare hands who is somewhere beneath Injured All-Might, so I would say Deku is currently about physically equal to SaS and Shigaraki with no additional quirks...and we're still missing the power that matched ALL of the quirks. We have the spies of AFO trying to keep the evacuation blocks Nezu made (Good job Nezu that's 3 hackers now.) in the way of all of the big fights happening above them with Gunhead, Tetsu, Kendo, and DEATH ARMS stopping them and saving people. The retiree inspired by watching the now UNSTOPPABLE Deku fight has reignited his passion for saving lives. Endeavor admitted he respected his grit and will to strive forward and was saddened by his retirement. (And he's also a freaking OX of a man.) And like that Skeptic's hold on the hero's materials is over but the block has stayed immobile even with the loss of the spy. Dabi meanwhile has been condensing his fire ever since figuring out Flashfire Phosphor...and now we're moving EVEN FURTHER into the absurdity of the fire power of the Todoroki's. Shoto about a red star of heat, Endeavor a yellow star, and Dabi a BLUE star. He's got thermonuclear heat condensed in the middle of him right now and they say incinerate...but they mean VAPORIZE 5 km. There will be NOTHING left if he explodes. His core is as hot as a nuke. HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DEGREES KELVIN. HOW IS THERE OXYGEN ANYWHERE NEAR HIM WITH THAT KIND OF FIRE AND HEAT. AND we still need an absolute MIRACLE to stop Prime AFO from getting involved in Deku's fight with Shigaraki to top it off! Deku is only a match for Shigaraki when he's NOT using quirks with MAYBE a few quirks for the 7 additional quirks. He has NOTHING for Prime AFO and if AFO takes over Shigaraki in full he stands even LESS chance to HIM using all quirks. So what's left? All-Might has worked out a plan for Dabi. Get Shoto and Iida on the move to face Dabi again. Iida, you're CRAZY fast. So run. Iida's recipro turbo is measured at top speed around Mach 28 halfway 5 minutes into the 10 minute booster with an accelerating and decelerating time leading up and winding down. And I'm betting with all the training that's happened since season 5 Iida has at LEAST increased the low points at the start and finish, but Iida is also practically FLYING so I'm also wondering if he pulled his engines out again for that. (In the manga he's running on the walls of skyscrapers shattering their windows as he steps and that is some PRECISION at the speed they're moving to time those steps. But he was floating BEFORE they took off too! Flying might not be off of Iida's power coverage!) So this CAN get Iida to the Gunga field...save for the giant fire field he can't go into. Shoto hops on his back and has been refining his ice shaping for some time and makes an ICE JET to make the accelerating THAT much faster. It's time for them to go for ANOTHER big power push for the kids. And Stain who faced Iida and marked him unworthy before now smiles as he sees him practice true altruism in the face of a nuclear explosion. Stain is proven wrong in his actions as the man he was unable to kill in Hosu is now an INCREDIBLY powerful and selfless hero living up to his brother's name and at this point surpassing him. Iida is going to freaking YEET Todoroki like a true hero. But then there is the biggest hype for me all episode and I thought this was going to finish off the episode not be the halfway point. This entire time All-Might has been planning the last counter attacks for Dabi, you may be wondering where he is. It's nowhere major. He has decided to put a 200 year grudge match to bed as he goes and tries to INTERCEPT ALL FOR ONE. You can feel the history of every passing moment as he simply waits to be seen. Remembering the two fights that came before over their long 40 years of history with OFA. He has protected Deku from the bloody history of OFA and KNOWING his fate may well ALREADY be sealed with Nighteye's foresight being in place, the timing being in place of 7 years past his major injury, the opponent being NO MORE FITTING for the role he has to commit to. But he faces it with a freaking smile. He's going to protect his son, he's going to get every last shot in he can on this immortal FREAK that an army of hero's could not. All-Might is a ONE MAN ARMY stockpile energy access or not with a willpower like that. The vast energy amount I still believe resides in him but he can't use it with his body so beaten to hell already and missing SO MANY organs. But he's gotten help for what he plans to do. This high tech car he's had and this mysterious suitcase he's carried since the rogue arc...starts to transform. Well...that is TWO Iron Man devices from the avengers. All-Might has gone from being Superman passed the torch to his son, and is now going to be Iron Man. He has been COMPLETELY off the radar of AFO in this entire war and now stands as EXACTLY the fight he wants as AFO is grinning EAR TO EAR to see his archnemesis. WHAT A FREAKING LEGEND. But the fight goes on for Gunga. Dabi and Endeavor are colliding. Endeavor has lead Dabi away from the Twice copy storm so people can move more freely. And he stares at the practical CORPSE of his son. He's just a NIGHTMARE to look at and the only thought Touya has now is just MURDER. ERUPT EVERYTHING and wipe out Endeavor. Look at him in the eyes causing him the biggest nightmare he can. All on this GIGANTIC blue fire landscape that annihilates everything. They are on the surface of a blue star on EARTH. And Endeavor wonders how has this guy POSSIBLY held himself together....and honestly thank GOODNESS this conversation of an awakening comes from Endeavor. Because the WEIRDEST THING happens right here in the manga instead as it cuts to Mr Compress and Geten chatting in prison. And Geten starts talking about his family lineage in the Himura clan...so basically he is related to Rei Todoroki. And he talks about how the family has multiple factions that have stayed a practical royal class of family and built their family the same way. And the family factions would unite to create thicker bloodlines. And it was practically the death of the clan when they started selling off main family to keep their wealth afloat. And because of that, it's not at all impossible to reason that a hidden quirk may emerge from their bloodline having a quirk awakening. If you know anything about royalty bloodlines for the past...several hundred to thousand years, he's talking about there being a lot of a word I can't write in comments that starts with "i" and that is...REALLY weird and would've broken the tension of this episode quite a bit. Basically it's just like the Fey clan from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney in structure. Geten just decides to chat with Mr Compress randomly after the big All-Might "I Am Here" speech about this and THIS is why all now FOUR of Endeavor's kids have the ice quirk. So I think it's better a fun fact situation than a let's interrupt three of the biggest fights in the show. I can only describe as what happens when Touya's revealed in life or death to have awakened the ice fire quirk of Shoto is Endeavor to accept he needs to take this nightmare away from his family and die with what he created when the answer was always there from the beginning to just stick with his son, and NONE OF THIS would have happened. Everyone deciding...more so to comfort Touya and convince him to stop what they can...before they ALL die as a family. All trying to stop the nightmare together as they want to take responsibility for their contributions, only to be saved by Shoto who will stop at NOTHING to properly stop ALL OF IT. Let's just spare me the effort of measuring something that is NOT AT ALL possible to measure. All I can say is what LIKELY happened is once the ice and fire matched, an explosion occurred that Shoto and Endeavor subsided with their fire. Somehow, someway, it's beyond science but the powers to do it are there so I'll shrug my shoulders and say yeah I got freaking nothing. Once it all subsides everyone is in a pile scarred for life physically, mentally, emotionally, and Endeavor having resolved the threat for everyone else as a hero. Starts apologizing. For EVERYTHING. He WANTS to hear Touya say that he hates him because he deserves it. He just wants to hear his son talk. Everyone walks away with the same scars. Touya got the worst of all, and Shoto who is not responsible for ANY of the nightmare just gets to free his family of what just happened. Freed at last. And free to move forward. All of them.
This episode might be the best one in the whole damn show. Absolute peak. Can't believe there are people who just ignore the stuff with Endeavor because he did bad stuff before
@@ChialukaGold That’s definitely a part of it too, but Endeavor literally made Shoto to make Toya give up on the reason he was born. To surpass All Might.
I hated him too. I understand why people don't like him, but as someone who's been abused by a parent and reconciled with them I really enjoy his story
Yeah, this is the hardest I’ve cried in a while. Beforehand, Shoto was called the “hero of the family,” and after this, yeah, he absolutely is. Not that he wasn’t before. And honestly, for as horrific of a person as Touya has become, I think it’s only right for him to be saved by the family and make sure he doesn’t game end himself. It was great timing too since Endeavor had just given up on Touya again. The emotions were complicated as heck this time around, but I’m hoping that Touya can finally find some level of peace. And that’s not even touching on All Might and Death Arms.
@@harrisonvin2690 Blame the idiot quirk doctors for not knowing how to do their job. If I’m Endeavor, I’d be furious at the doctors for missing that Touya inherited the Ice quirk.
I have an Endeavor statue and this is why he is my favorite character. Went from being a heartless character obsessing with power to now wishing he could of treated his family better especially to Toya(Dabi) . Each episode that shows Endeavor makes me like him more and more.
man when i originally seen the episode i wasn’t as emotionally hurt for Toya as well as Endeavor but seeing other people react to it made me better understand emotionally the tragic situation as a whole and hit me hard in the feels this was a great episode, truly cinema 🙏

This episode was amazing, the Art, Animation, OST, and the voice acting was all phenomenal!!! Honestly this is the best episode of the season and a top 3 of the series for me
This episode was batshit amazing. Animation, voice acting, art and dont even get me started on the fucking soundtrack. One of the best episodes of the series.
The fact that this is the first time we see Toya cry as Dabi is really beautiful, cause he said that his lacrimal glands burnt bc of him burning his own body. We only saw him "cry" blood till now.
Okay but something that jumped out at me right away was THESE OSTS!!! 😦😨🫢🥹😆 THE WAY SHOTO RAN!! His ost was LITERALLY HIM. Perfect!! The way it sped up at the end and sounded like victory and hope 🥺 and DABI’S!!🫢😳 the sound of angels screaming the heaven and hell sounding angelic unreal ethereal sounding screams holy FUCK 😨😨
I think that Toya awakening Rei’s quirk only when he has on the edge of death actually means that it wasn’t worth it, Toya was not going to awaken it if he wasn’t in a situation like that, so was it really worth it to keep pushing your son until he was on the verge of death just for him to become a great hero? Endeavor made a lot of mistakes, but at this point there was no going back.
@@joshuadavers6883 that’s not what I meant, it just shows off that he should be having ANY children to make them become a hero, the only reason he stopped training Touya after all he pushed him, was because Touya’s body couldn’t handle the heat, not really because Endeavor didn’t want him to be a hero, he would’ve done the same to Shoto if he didn’t develop Rei’s or his quirk.
Idk Endeavor and Toya had a strong relationship before finding out his fire quirk was incompatible. I think it was Hori chickening out on making Endeavor a full family abuser so his atonement was far easier. I think Touya is as much to blame for what happened to him as his father and Shoto is the true victim no one likes to talk about. But I will fully blame the idiot quirk doctors for not knowing how to do their job. If I’m Endeavor, I’d be furious that they missed that Touya inherited the Ice quirk.
Endeavor is and amazing character but ngl all might imo is the best character in mha seeing his character journey from ep 1 and how he told deku you couldn’t be a hero without a quirk to him losing his powers and now trying to fight his biggest opponent with no qurik really make him a top tier character
Better than the nuance and arc of Endeavor? Nah. You're free to like All Might more but when it comes to just the quality of writing for Endeavor, he is leagues above the rest of the show. He is, by far, the best written character.
Can't agree at all. All Might's character was not handled well. He was effectively put into a limbo for the majority of the story. We're not given much at all to work with for his character for like +250 chapters until the end. He's not even close to the multi layered, complex character Endeavor is. I absolutely HATED how nothing came out of All Might and Deku's conflict related to self sacrifice in the vigilante arc never became anything on a sidenote. Literally just ends with Deku casually apologizing during a comic relief moment. Dreadful how Hori threw away a plot point that was desperately needed to develop the Deku and All Might dynamic.

this episode and the All Might vs AfO that's gonna happen next are by far my favorite parts of probably this entire story, except maybe Eri smiling and the Toga vs Uraraka that is coming up soon as well. the Todoroki family is just such an incredibly impactful storyline and having Iida- the boy who "lost" his older brother to the hero society -be the one to carry Shoto to the fight with his own older brother who's been consumed by the framework of the world? that shit is fucking peak also yeah im fairly certain that Shoto's Phosphor flames actually froze Toya's and the rapid change in temperature just shattered it instantly. it could also just be that he neutralized it like he did earlier tho i could be wrong there
This show has had a bunch of cool storylines but the Todorokis still manage to be the stand out favorite of mine. At the end of the day it's always going to be Endeavor's fault but him realizing how deep the hurt he caused in ALL OF THEM feels so right. Those apologies need to be heard by them all, again and again with proof of change! He didn't deserve a hero's death with AFO that's for sure because his family deserves better from him, atonement for all the suffering that went on in that house. Also Rei as well, I don't see many people calling her out because she was a victim too but she didn't treat those boys right either imo. Seeing her start to burn just like how she burned Shoto and how Touya burned himself was SICK. Broke down at Touya saying he wanted to argue and say more with them but is too far gone (tbh any scene with him smiling with them HURT) Just ahhhhh, they did their thing this episode Also "Is he cooked or is he frozen?" I was thinking a damaged flash frozen item at the grocery store that you'd return but I digress lol
This season is so hype, that I keep wanting for a week to go pass by so I can watch the next episode immediately! Looking forward to the last 2 episodes 🔥
I love how when Endeavor finds some parallel between himself and his opponents or has some self-realizing epiphany, he's ready to perform what might as well be a Final Explosion to turn them both into ashes
Apparently nobody was paying attention, they were talking about idas exhaust pipes, they don't remember from last season about him pulling them out of his legs upping his speed. It had nothing to do with the animation
Toya saying “die all you.. but him saying ME TOO-“ 😨😖😖 that hurt so bad I couldn’t stop crying bro😭💔 and seeing rei’s face her reaction she RAN to Toya knowing he was about to die a second time and the fact they REI and TOYA both replayed that scene in their heads Toya wanted to apologize to his mom first thing when he woke up rei thinks abt that moment a lot too as it was shown multiple times 🥺💔
6:35 dabi actually couldn’t awaken ice unless he burnt himself as much as he did in the war so endeavor being a good dad wouldn’t have awakened the ice within him, although it would be nice if he was good dad too.
Season 2: we hated endeavor Season 5-7: we started loving and respecting endeavor I really hope now they will accept him he’s always having the same dream about not being with them so i hope they do 🥺
Thinking about Endeavor's journey to this point, from his deep regret/shame for the abuse of his wife, being constantly humbled by the feats of true heroism by Shoto, the now similar scar on his face like Shoto during a battle where he face a version of himself in the form of a Nomu, to the complete breaking of his spirit by the revelation of Dabi being Toya, and now the rest of body being ravaged with the physical scars/burns that mirror the emotional ones that he caused his family for so long. It feels like the penance for his atonement has been all encompassing. Endeavor's place in phenomenal anime characters is cemented beyond a shadow of a doubt. The story of the Todoroki's is truly one of the great anime tragedies.
At 10:27 shows that He really is suffering through his defeat knowing that this was not what he really wanted and now he’s going to keep living with whatever Time he has left hearing the apologies of his father and the share of emotion of words of his family which to Toya/dabi is way beyond too late. I mean, what can I say in life it’s never too late to talk about how you’re feeling and the struggles you’re dealing with and the people that still care about you
I hope your editor stays with YBR for a long time, they are one of my favorite parts about the videos. The title cards and little add-ons like the schedule & what not are top tier. Whoever you are you're goated
Honestly, for me, it's one of the best episode of media in general i've watched. This is the end... of "Keeping up with the Todorokis". Absolute Peak Cinema.
Also, Iida looked up to his big brother and even took his hero name. He told Todoroki, "I've got a big brother, too, ya know" meaning that Todoroki could have confided in him about Toya. Todoroki was like, naw we aren't the same. Having Iida be the one to help Todoroki in the final fight against his brother is really good writing.

Beautifully put. Thank you for such a great analysis.

6:33 Toya only awakened Rei's quirk because he was on the verge of death, so even if Endeavor had been a good dad Toya would only get both quirks in an extreme situation like that one
The biggest thing from this is that “is it worth the cost?”

Phenomenal episode, and hugest props to Endeavor's VA. The way his voice just breaks when he apologizes to his family hits so hard.
So a fun lil thing to note, Dabi was crying at the end of the episode. Awhile ago he said his tearducts burned away so he couldnt cry, yet he cried tears at the end here.
I thought it was a nice little detail they added.

RIIIIGHT this is amazing
All the hates are coming from animation. Idk which team in charge for MHA but after season 4 the animation kinda lacking and not consistent at all. Compare to mob psycho season 1 to finale with consistent animation. 1 or 2 episodes great animation cant justify for whole season. People now so used to amazing animation coming from Ufotable, Mappa and Wit Studio etc and now Bones pumping new episodes with subpar animation is a big letdown. You can argue and deny storyline is more important but animation makes the anime more enjoyable.
Everyone be forgetting Eri's quirk works on a stockpile system. Her horn has to store up energy before she can release it.
Even manga readers to this day still don’t understand this. Its crazy how they make her an excuse to trash the story.
I'll be honest. Until you brought it up, I had forgotten.
Did not know that at all
This episode got me on two accounts:
1. It proves that Todoroki truly is the hero of his family.
2. The fact that a piece of Toya’s mother was with him as a part of his quirk and keeping him safe from his own flames this whole time, just like how Garra’s sand was his mother, just broke me as a son with a good mom. 🤧🤧🤧

Ngl, as amazing as this episode is, I have to say that I've really grown to dislike Enji's atonement arc. Kind of sloppy imo
The Masegaki kids were right to put their trust into Five Wee Wees 😁
Also Iida achieving transonic speed equivalent to a fighter jet was amazing.
@@TheYoungGeninSasuke
Watch the scene again.

Iida always had to change out his mufflers as his quirk got stronger, they showed it in the earlier seasons.

Didn’t Endeavor literally have more children to stop Touya from being a hero? 🤦♂️
@@joshuadavers6883 that’s not what I meant, it just shows off that he should be having ANY children to make them become a hero, the only reason he stopped training Touya after all he pushed him, was because Touya’s body couldn’t handle the heat, not really because Endeavor didn’t want him to be a hero, he would’ve done the same to Shoto if he didn’t develop Rei’s or his quirk.

also yeah im fairly certain that Shoto's Phosphor flames actually froze Toya's and the rapid change in temperature just shattered it instantly. it could also just be that he neutralized it like he did earlier tho i could be wrong there
"its probably just an animation error, or, OHH SHIIII""😆😆 With the Almight WOW! 100% funny
It’s crazy how they forgot about IIda’s bigger engines considering how hype they were when it was first revealed
The emotional scarring of these encounters is somehow greater than the physical scarring the characters are receiving. And that's saying a lot.
Do you know how loooooong I been waitin for this
Ooh im bout to make a name for myself here
This show has had a bunch of cool storylines but the Todorokis still manage to be the stand out favorite of mine.
Broke down at Touya saying he wanted to argue and say more with them but is too far gone (tbh any scene with him smiling with them HURT)
Just ahhhhh, they did their thing this episode
Also "Is he cooked or is he frozen?" I was thinking a damaged flash frozen item at the grocery store that you'd return but I digress lol
I was DROOLING for days for your reaction to this banger!
This season is so hype, that I keep wanting for a week to go pass by so I can watch the next episode immediately! Looking forward to the last 2 episodes 🔥
I am not exaggerating, when you said someone in the comments said he turned hawks into walks I literally fell over.
Not many shows does side characters like mha, truly amazing cast outside of the mains
I love how when Endeavor finds some parallel between himself and his opponents or has some self-realizing epiphany, he's ready to perform what might as well be a Final Explosion to turn them both into ashes
Endeavor is the sole reason i even keep watching mha. What an amazing character, wish i could see more of him and his past.
The version of You Say Run in this episode is called
You Say Run -Succession-
for those who want it.
Lupa making the callback to old Bruce Wayne using armor to fight as Batman was exactly the callback I needed, thank you 🙌
Saying that it's an animation error during Nakamuras scene is crazy
They think everything should be a Ufotable level of animation or as wonky as Sukuna vs Mahoraga
They was talking bout iidas extra engines
Apparently nobody was paying attention, they were talking about idas exhaust pipes, they don't remember from last season about him pulling them out of his legs upping his speed. It had nothing to do with the animation
Yeah no, idk why but they thought iidas exhaust pipes were an animation error cuz they looked bigger...
They just talking out they ass “animation error” 💀
Toya saying “die all you.. but him saying ME TOO-“ 😨😖😖 that hurt so bad I couldn’t stop crying bro😭💔 and seeing rei’s face her reaction she RAN to Toya knowing he was about to die a second time and the fact they REI and TOYA both replayed that scene in their heads Toya wanted to apologize to his mom first thing when he woke up rei thinks abt that moment a lot too as it was shown multiple times 🥺💔
Nearly brought tears to my eyes they only didn’t come out cause I was fighting back hard
10:42 bro on the right was fighting back them tears 🤣🤣🤣
You three are the only ones I see who joke about the show like this and don't take it 110% seriously, and I love you for that.
6:35 dabi actually couldn’t awaken ice unless he burnt himself as much as he did in the war so endeavor being a good dad wouldn’t have awakened the ice within him, although it would be nice if he was good dad too.
Absolute peak. Not even Endeavor could bring this one down.
Season 2: we hated endeavor
Season 5-7: we started loving and respecting endeavor
I really hope now they will accept him he’s always having the same dream about not being with them so i hope they do 🥺
Thinking about Endeavor's journey to this point, from his deep regret/shame for the abuse of his wife, being constantly humbled by the feats of true heroism by Shoto, the now similar scar on his face like Shoto during a battle where he face a version of himself in the form of a Nomu, to the complete breaking of his spirit by the revelation of Dabi being Toya, and now the rest of body being ravaged with the physical scars/burns that mirror the emotional ones that he caused his family for so long.
I mean, what can I say in life it’s never too late to talk about how you’re feeling and the struggles you’re dealing with and the people that still care about you
All Might really went for the three-peat 😂
I AM HERE. Chills man. Literal chills.
i dont cry easily and i did not cry for years until this episode...
I hope your editor stays with YBR for a long time, they are one of my favorite parts about the videos. The title cards and little add-ons like the schedule & what not are top tier. Whoever you are you're goated
That 1mill stream/video gonna be legendary 🎉 congratulations on 900k
Honestly, for me, it's one of the best episode of media in general i've watched.
This is the end... of "Keeping up with the Todorokis". Absolute Peak Cinema.
Episodes like this remind me why MHA will always be in my top 3
Also, Iida looked up to his big brother and even took his hero name. He told Todoroki, "I've got a big brother, too, ya know" meaning that Todoroki could have confided in him about Toya. Todoroki was like, naw we aren't the same.
Having Iida be the one to help Todoroki in the final fight against his brother is really good writing.
