That carbon 😍 I never realised the V6 spoiler was a one piece, or that the after market ones don't cover the whole rear. Carbon is 100% the right choice!
Looks fantastic how can you not like a bit of carbon on your car .The mk1 still looks a modern shape car and the carbon spoiler looks like a factory part another great informative film for us enthusiastic owners
Looks great and it's definitely on the list for stuff to do on my TT. I'd take the original look spoiler and respray it matte/satin black to match honeycomb "diffuser" (also on the list) and the other plastics on the car. This video has helped a bunch as I was hesitant how an aftermarket spoiler would work out (fitment and all), but the result looks great 👍
Has to be the best looking upgrade. Im betting it will be a major upgrade changing lanes on the autobahn, and not enough drag driving at road speeds, to cause inefficiency. love it!
Best way I round was to get a rachet strap and loop it long ways I’m between the rear two boot hinges to the spoiler and back. Held it on while it was setting.
Great stuff, done it a couple of times, always the used the cheaper Ebay ones, i used tiger seal and taped it like you did, however I masked up the boot where the spoiler met the boot, then used cloth and some white spirit to get a nice clean joint / seal to the boot lid.
I had the Maxton Design one a few years ago. It showed up prime but the fitment was so bad I threw it out since Maxton has a no return policy on their GFP parts. The carbon one seems to fit nicely. Maybe I'll give it a go!
Ooo no thats a shame, i did hear some people say that the maxton one needed some work to make fit 100% sad to hear as you think they would get it pretty good from the start, i think everyone who has fitted the carbon one has been pleased with it
I never knew the stock 3.2 spoiler was black in color on the underside. Thanks for the information 👍. Not that it matters much for my car being mine car is black. Thanks again for the vvideo
@@TheParrottBros Haha, if only I had the space! Still got it, along with a load of engine bay trims and a few other bits. It's only a cheap carbon spoiler extension, but if you need another for one of your ever-growing fleet let me know 😉
Hi Dom, another great video. I've had my trusty V6 since around 2004, and I think the spoiler lip extension in carbon looks awesome and better than the factory one, not that I intend to change mine though! Great stuff and glad to see you're settling in to the new workshop and not crawling around outside in all weathers. Dom, or anyone out there got a V6 they've dropped, I need a recommendation as to dampers and springs to get, I'm looking to drop the ride height by say an inch or so, but still keep most or all of the factory comfort (???) set up. I need to declare mods to insurance company to keep myself right as well! Cheers fellow TT'rs
If the paint isnt in great condition in the first place yes but then so would tigerseal or other kinds of bonding glues used instead. atleast tape you can heat or use solvents to remove
I bought a QS front grill which is already glossy from factory but I think it’s just glossy plastic. Do you know if the QS rear diffuser is fully glossy also? That way I’ll probably go for a glossy black spoiler extension

Had to be carbon right! Yeah man, still learning things after all this time 😎
Now you got me thinking about carbon fiber extension along with carbon fiber mirror covers! Nice fitment there…
Thanks buddy, yeah I’ve been looking at similar haha

Thanks Paul appreciate that! It really adds something to the rear end and I know right. Love a bit of carbon

Thanks buddy, ive been meaning to do it for years but now i have less cars its easier to spend time on the ones i do have 😎
Has to be the best looking upgrade.
Im betting it will be a major upgrade changing lanes on the autobahn, and not enough drag driving at road speeds, to cause inefficiency.
love it!
Haha thanks buddy, i shall test it out later in the year when it goes into track 😎
Nice touch, love it! Great video Dom.
Thanks buddy, I really like it the more I look at it 😎

Nice little trick that, I’ve also seen people using wood on the ground standing up and propping it up
I've had mine for a while now but waiting for spring and warmer temps. Love the clean look without going to a wing! 🍻
Yeah ive been putting it off for some time haha, its a great looking car but it just adds that little. something it was missing
@@TheParrottBros can't wait! 👍
Love the carbon Dom! Great video.
Thanks buddy, i love just standing there looking at it haha

Great technique. As long as the surfaces have been prepped then your set for good adhesion, tiger seal is some tough stuff!!
Amazing what a difference this relatively small detail makes!
Thanks buddy, I’d say so too. Really finished off the rear end for me
Nice one Dom 👍🏻 I’ve learnt something new about the TT today 😃
Always happy to share what I’ve learnt along the way 🙂
I'm looking at getting the carbon one I love the look off it love your channel thanks for sharing your experiences and expertise on the tt
Thanks for watching and commenting really helps the channel 😎
Excellent timing sir! Got my remap yesterday and im happy with my performance 280ish. Now its time for aesthetics 😁
Happy days! For me it finishes off the back end nicely while still looking oem+
Thank you for doing this video. This is something I wanted to do but wasn't sure how it would look and the quality of the spoiler. Your video helped 👍
Awesome glad it’s helped. I’m super pleased with it

Love the carbon, think it looks absolutely awesome 👌
Thanks mate, I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out…. Now I’m searching for more carbon 😂
@@TheParrottBros slippery slope pal
Definitely the carbon Dom looks great 👌
Thanks buddy, I’m really pleased with it
Do not forget the clips aswell as the 4 bolts/nuts!! Definitely would avoid removing the spoiler if you can! :)
Great video mate
Good shout, basically a horrible job haha
@@TheParrottBros Definitely, especially when you make a dent trying to rip it off lol
Cars looking great mate👍👍
Thanks mate, I’m pleased with it. Looking forward to seeing your car when it comes home
Looks really nice with that carbon one 👍
Thanks dude, im really pleased with it

Haha every days a school day ayy 🙂. I only found it out through removing one for someone and it makes it easy to tell the v6 and extension apart 🙂
Nice spoiler dom looks miles nicer 👍
Thanks mate, it just gives it that extra touch it needed 👌🏻
Looks great, Dom. This video makes me wish I'd fitted mine instead of it still sittign on a shelf gathering dust long after the TT has gone🤣
hahaha, maybe you should buy another tt then haha do you still have the spoiler extension ?

Hey buddy, I did a video on my v6 and the suspension I used. It was very comfortable and I would 100% recommend checking it out
Like the carbon bit for sure. I just got a Mk1 TT last month but it doesn't have a spoiler at all 🥺 lol
Thats even rarer than anything else, early spoilerless cars look so strange its cool!!
Great fit and looks right mate
Thanks mate, I’m pleased with the subtle visual upgrade as it still looks oem+
🙌🏼 love it!
Thanks 😎
Mate the noggy and carbon looks so nice 😍😎, love mine and some great advice 👌
Thanks buddy, something about that blue and the carbon just pops. It was a no brainier for me when offered up
amazing video, could the 3M tape damage the car paint if removed?
If the paint isnt in great condition in the first place yes but then so would tigerseal or other kinds of bonding glues used instead. atleast tape you can heat or use solvents to remove
Looks so good 👍
Thanks mate I’m super pleased with it
Both look smart Dom will they fit on the 225 roadster and the 190
Hey, yes it will fit all Audi tt models besides v6 / Quattro sports
I bought a QS front grill which is already glossy from factory but I think it’s just glossy plastic. Do you know if the QS rear diffuser is fully glossy also? That way I’ll probably go for a glossy black spoiler extension
Yeah all qs plastic trims are painted in a paint called phantom black, its a metallic colour :)
Can you tell me where you can get one of these?
Apologies i have now added links in the video description
👌 Carbon
The best
I recodnise that Maxton spoiler lol
👀
Looks awesome defo right choice 😁👍noice 😁
Thanks mate appreciate that
Belle vidéo 👌 😉. Super 👌. TT 👍 👍
Merci! 😎
@@TheParrottBros 👍 😉
"Garage Rules"...it clearly states......don't buy any more TTs hahahahahaha...Nice to see the noggy get a propper spoiler😉...looks great.
Only number 1, rule 2 states you must ignore rule 1 😂😂 I’m very pleased with how it looks now I must admit
P.S. Nice signage!
Its the best, will be featuring in a video in the coming weeks 😍
