Welcome back to the Mk1 Audi TT build series.
Every petrolhead loves carbon fibre, right? The issue is; genuine carbon fibre is usually on the expensive side. Have you ever been tempted by a cheap, Chinese carbon fibre spoiler?...of course you have!
Kenny has taken the plunge and ordered a genuine carbon fibre spoiler extension from eBay, to see if they are as bad as some people make them out to be.
Upon unboxing, we thought we were onto a winner when the carbon weave seemed very consistent (albeit with a few marks/scratches) fitment was surprising, but there was a bigger shock after a few weeks of fitment...

Yep, that looks better. I would add a carbon front lip and DI-NOC wrap a few small interior inserts to make it come out as a carbon kit.

Good video. I've been loving the TT series as I've had my silver BAM now for over a year. This spoiler is exactly what I was looking at and it's convinced me to get it. I'm south wales based and would love to have a meet up some time 👍

Love a bit of carbon!
I have one of these on both my TTs. They enable you to see the rear of the car when reversing, and they look great. I’ve attached both with body kit adhesive, they are going nowhere, never trust tape.

I use ct1 black but you won't get it off again lol
I dont like it. Kinda tacky to me prefer to keep mine original. Each to their own tho init!
The MK1 maxton doesn't fit very well, needs work doing to it. Bit rubbish really
I have a Maxton which I didn’t fit, when I offered it up there were a couple of bumps which need sanding. I have a Chinese carbon fibre spoiler extension on both my TTs, apart from the fact I think they look great they also enable you to see the back of the car when reversing so they are practical as well.
