great vid mate 👍with that grill it has the number plate panel which sits forward so no need to cut the bit behind, great alternative for those that don't want to cut

You can change the grill with only removing one side front section wheel liner bolts behind it and all the hex bolt underneath at the front and the top bolts under the bonnet then can leave the one side on and ease the other off, theres just enough space to reach the 2 hexs holding the grill and the tabs, done it the other day nice and easy only had to jack up the passenger side

Nice one mate did you remove the wheel arch liner on both sides in the end ? I only ask because on mine the torx screws holding the liner are fucked. I'm thinking to remove the light and get at the bolts that way?
Yeah there’s a few torx screws you have to remove from the arch liner as they are screwed into the bumper unfortunately! There is a torx head removal kit you can get online for about 15 quid should get you sorted 🤙🏻

sam- i have been looking at older z3's, z4's and the tt for ragtop fun but on a budget. i married herself and we used to ride motorcycles as that has been a passion of mine but wouldn't you know that now that we are married she has smartened up and doesn't want to freeze her ass off looking at the hedges in cork ffs. so one of these might be an alternative. i found your great video as the older tt's have an ugly front. would like your thoughts as your videos are informative and you know your stuff. where are you based are you up in the big smoke? gordon
Hi Gordon, sorry for the late reply! the MK1's are not as good looking as the MK2's I agree but I wouldn’t rule them out as they do drive well especially the AWD models, Based in london mate
May I ask what mounting brackets you used to attach the Audi logo to the grill? Would really appreciate it! Thanks
