I understand that this bothers some people, and I am sorry for that. However, this is the common language used in the English-speaking world and therefore I use it so that people will be able to find these videos. If I make a video called the Reconquista of Hispania, that will get far less attention in the English speaking world than if it is named Reconquista of Spain. My use of the term Spain is in no way meant to detract from the independence and value of Portugal or the many distinctive ethnic groups within Iberia. Remember, back in the medieval world Spain was made up of many kingdoms. The terms Spain is really just a modern translation of the term Hispania in terms of the context I'm using it.

I understand why you use it, but I don't really think why would the english viewer turn away by the term of Hispania or teh Iberian Penisula.
ff fuu It's not that I think they would turn away from it, I don't think they would find it in the first place. Spain is a commonplace term in English, Hispania and even Iberia are more obscure terms.
Most Americans at least are not taught European geography or history very much except in college courses maybe. Much like people in Spain don't know the geography or history of Arkansas or Texas. Then again I know a great deal of European history and geography. It's all relative.
João Rosmaninho take your Portuguese Nationalistic pride and shove it.
Your silly story book reading of what is supposedly a history lesson is insulting.
Moors were Berber and not black
