I fully agree. If this type of relationship between company and consumer continues then it will just be the new standard. At some point the fans need to put their foot down to not just be a piggy bank to shareholders
As someone who has been playing Call of Duty for 16 years now, I agree 100% with you Mr. Adoink, but unfortunately it seems this is just how developers are nowadays, releasing games unfinished and updating them later i.e. Forza Motorsport, Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 2042, just to name a few.
Yea it's hard not to be critical, it feels like most companies, especially AAA are after the quickest buck possible at the cost of their consumer relationships. Maybe I'm just jaded though I don't know
@@AdoinkAdoinkthey are legally obligated to Shareholders want money, that's it, money, and when buy a share of a company it's like a contract that the company will do whats in your best interest If not, you can get a bunch of shareholders together to sue the company as they broke that agreement Capitalism isn't about pleasing the customer, it's about pleasing the shareholders
I agree with this it’s annoying they just make a new game with adding new stuff like I used to play Overwatch and when Overwatch 2 was coming out they finally put new characters and fix some things but why couldn’t they just put that in the first game than just make a new game? I been left Overwatch with how greedy it’s become but yeah we have to stop these companies getting away with this stuff.
They would lose millions if they spent money making the Warzone 3 and MW3 update and made it free, but could you imagine the love and respect call of duty would get if they made a huge free DLC with a brand new zombies mode and bringing back all of the guns and maps we love, not even to mention a new campaign. People would be flocking back to cod and eventually making they’re way to the bundle shop potentially making a huge profit for activision, I don’t blame sledgehammer, it’s definitely the heads of activision that wouldn’t make it a free DLC, but they could’ve taken a huge risk and gotten a huge reward earning tons of respect
The worst part is that the majority of the problems don’t come from the developers. It comes from the producers and businessmen who don’t care about the quality of the game. The devs put their heart and soul into making these games, but can’t release a good product because daddy Activision would rather make a quick buck off the year instead of giving the devs time to making a proper complete game
Facts, and unfortunately it isn't just Activision. Too many publishers out there that just want to milk their fans' wallets at the cost of their game and dev reputations.
As you can tell by the skin cash shop, Cod fans have not IQ past 80 since they are spending 20-30 dollars for a skin and 30 for a battle pass in their battle pass. If Activsion can charge them 30 dollars a season for 3 months a season. They certainly can get away with this. Only value I see is the campaign and MayBE the zombies if its not just slapped on like you said. People are spending 18 dollars for that doom bundle that dropped........talk about doomed.
I find cod players are way too submissive like sports game players like fifa and madden. Literally will always be fooled into opening their wallets every time without fail.
things yall need to understand thats shitting on the price. IW made MW2 and Sledgehammer is making MW3, if you were a buisness owner are you gonna lower your price because a different dev team did bad? didnt think so.
True but traditionally the different CoD teams make different games, this time they're selling you MW2 with changes that could've been in the patch notes and maps that could've been sold as separate DLC
You're 100% correct dude, there are so many good games in our libraries new ones waiting to be bought I decided for now to not waste any more time on this abomination of a game. I hate call of duty more than I love it. Everything about it is hot garbage fire. If only people would just not buy into this bullshit each year, we'd have a good game.
This will be my last cod. Yes I bought the game for the nostalgia but now that I have the maps i grew up with, I'm good. Imma stick to warzone after this
Pre ordered just to play the beta early and then refunded my money back not sure if it’s for me ttk is too slow and it’s already been leaked that laser guns are coming in S3 sledgehammer always puts thier wackyness in their title
I upgraded to a ps5 and I traded my Xbox series x in and payed of a few games like MW3 so I feel like I didn’t have to pay any money so I feel alright about it but I definitely agree with you.
does anyone realize that.... if this _was_ in fact the story DLC they planned instead of a new game, it'd still probably be ~40 dollars. Of course to each their own, but MWIII looks hella interesting to me, and i'd rather pay 70 for a new game than whatever they'd've charged for a story dlc
So you get a campaign, zombies, new multiplayer maps, 1 year worth of live service content, smaller side content like spec ops, big maps, compared to...idk battlefield 2042? Where you dont have campaign or somethat comparable to zombies, i dont think the multiplayer weapons is on par modern warface Halo? At least you get a campaign, its took 2 years to maybe get more content in, and then forge i guess you compare to zombies, and the open world i would say is on par but you get your money worth in cod than halo What do you want to compare to?
The sentiment is 100% spot on but I skipped out on Vanguard and MW2Too because of how much I hated MW2019. So MW3 does appeal to me as a new game with them promising to revert some of the BS they introduced in 2019. I'll still decide whether to buy it based on the quality of the demo/"beta" but this is the first COD I've been cautiously optimistic about in the past couple of years. Even with the knowledge that they're using scummy business practices to prey on nostalgia.
Seeing these rushed games and half assed content for a while now. Really hope it turns a corner soon but can't see it happening until people stop buying
I always say people need to vote with their wallets, thats something that has worked with different IPs, but COD is a different creature I really dont think you can convince a sizable amount of people to not buy the new cod. When sm2 got their dmca i was hopeful the community would start a boycott but instead i was disappointed to see people defend the dmca.
Another UA-camr preaching to the choir, thinking that it'll stop these game companies handling their games like this. Yet I get where you're coming from with how it should have been a new update instead of a new game. But why complain about it and instead just "not" buy the game? It's because you need to make more content right? But You do realize by making this type of content complaining about Call Of Duty and direction they are going makes you a part of that wheel you put in the video at 1:05 into the video right? at 3:37 into the video Also, just because a lot of people do still buy these games doesn't at all mean they are enabling. Nothing will stop the companies from doing what they are doing, it's them are enabling it and not the people that are buying the games. I'm hoping Adoink you don't take this comment personal in any way shape or form considering it's just some of my own personal thoughts on some of the points you made in the video, I still do respect everything you said in this video regardless so hoping you can do the same for me. You are right these video game creators in this generation just don't care as much like they used too in the glory days of online gaming I completely agree with that, but I also believe what started it all was "loot boxes" "BattlePass" and "SBMM" because this generation has turned into "Oh my safe space" casuing SBMM and because the younger generation are silly enough to waste money on Battlepasses and Loot cause they think it's cool they got a wacky operator and over the top looking gun.
I appreciate the comment, and thank you for the perspective. It's nice to see other opinions as we don't all have to agree all the time, and don't worry I've been learning not to take the comments personally as some people are much less respectful. You're right though, as some others have pointed out, it's really the big publishers that are making these situations worse with their attempts at a quick buck. I just look back at how much simpler gaming used to be and it's hard to not get frustrated at some of these practices that feel like blatant cash grabs. Again, I appreciate your comment and thoughts
The thing is... MW2 was supposed to get an "expansion", which was later re-tooled internally to become MW3. Yes, MW3 was originally just an expansion pack. The new game literally is just a glorified update. Furthermore, why do people buy this? I think it's the same braindead crowd that buys FIFA every year - which is literally the same game each fucking year lol. Welcome to the modern games industry.
CoD is the New Madden/FIFA for braindead shooters. I'm not purchasing it because of the price premium that they put on a DLC. Any sensible human that isn't lack of brain activity would say that they way CoD monetizes their game with MACRO transactions, not Micro. (20-40 dollar skins/bundles) The game should be free to play outside of the option to pay for the campaign.
The gaming generation that I grew up on 25+ years ago would never allow gaming companies to pull off this nonsense . I’m glad I left gaming years ago . All they care is how fast they fill their bank account with money 🤦♂️ and the current gaming generation is a bunch of self entitled mofos who think Starbucks is a lifelong career that spends their time supporting these UA-cam streamers that would not give them a dollar if they needed it

dub. I love the straight forward takes
UA-cam recommend me your channel
I'm glad that happened
Thank you, means a lot!
Bruh...they did this with the last MW3. Can't make this up
As you can tell by the skin cash shop, Cod fans have not IQ past 80 since they are spending 20-30 dollars for a skin and 30 for a battle pass in their battle pass.

Unly buying if its on a discount sale
It's justified because we're gonna buy it anyways🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
TRUE 😭
This will be my last cod. Yes I bought the game for the nostalgia but now that I have the maps i grew up with, I'm good. Imma stick to warzone after this
Sorry man I zone out whenever someone complains about SBMM I mean neat video though I get what you were going for
Same here I only bought mw2 because I said hey let’s give it another try, but they failed honestly and now to buy a 70$ update?
Pre ordered just to play the beta early and then refunded my money back not sure if it’s for me ttk is too slow and it’s already been leaked that laser guns are coming in S3 sledgehammer always puts thier wackyness in their title
vote with your wallet don't buy it don't give in
Agreed
I upgraded to a ps5 and I traded my Xbox series x in and payed of a few games like MW3 so I feel like I didn’t have to pay any money so I feel alright about it but I definitely agree with you.
ngl I can part with my 70 dollars just so that I can have a new cod. I'd rather start from scratch than think about the last cod.
GREAT I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER SHARK CARD!!!!!
Its Like Madden Games.

The AI moderation killed the franchise for me. It’s an M rated game and its being slowly turned into Fortnite.
Seeing these rushed games and half assed content for a while now. Really hope it turns a corner soon but can't see it happening until people stop buying
True as F*ck
$100*

I ain't buying this bs.
Cs2 sucks
These games are so bad now a day's I just laugh when Cod is mentioned you're a weirdo if you buy this game.
