Tom was so brave, my beautiful son who fought so hard to stay. Lucy, my daughter was also so brave sharing our families experience with hospice care. 😢❤️💔

Hats off to a very brave sister and family who were willing to share their most private thoughts and show their love for their brother midst their grief. Lovely to see good staff get the recognition they deserve. Thank you. I’m sure your experience has helped many people.

Be thankful you had the opportunity to see and be there when he passed. My brother died suddenly at the age of 46. He had 2 young children who now have children of their own. It breaks my heart that he never got to be a grandpa. It will be 19 years and I still miss him more everyday.

Would love to find a family or community or even anyone that cares enough to help someone on this incredibly sad journey. My heart goes out to everyone who doesn’t have the love and support of family and friends! May God bless you in your time of need! 💗

I think people should be able to decide whether they want assisted suicide or not, when they r suffering in various facilities. My sister died in assisted living, in memory care , at The Residence, in Darien, CT She had Lewy Body Dementia. Her mind was gone at the end. I salute the whole medical staff, including the care givers and hospice, who took such good care of my sister. Bless u all!

Ouch..Tom died on my birthday, but, I glory in his description of his near death - because it's everything I believe is waiting for us all. What a beautiful family, what a privilege to have been given this insight from them.

I'm reading comments from a year ago. So, my story is from the other end - working at a funeral home. I see the families after the death occurred. I loved meeting them and helping them through the funeral process. Every family grieves differently and now I'm facing my husbands (hopefully a long time from now) funeral plans. He had a massive stroke in 2020 and I have to plan ahead. It stinks and now I know what my families went through. I also watched my parents in hospice and they were able to have a peaceful death. Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing the story of your brother Tom. My best friend is in the midst of losing her husband to cancer. She is beyond grief. I will show her this video. Absolutely beautiful, lovely, so settling, a tale of grace, bravery, love, sorrow and joy. Thank you for your words!

My wonderful 37 yr old daughter died at home 3 months ago. We used Barwon health palliative care who were absolutely wonderful and compassionate. I was allowed to be be very involved with her care right to the end. I felt Jess and us as a family were totally included, she didn't want to die, she fought it to the end, and I was privileged to be there for her final breath. The fact she was allowed to die at home, unbelievably wonderful.

It does seem to make it easier, when death and dying are talked about. Some people feel that if they talk about death, it will come to them, like an invitation. You never get over it, you only get through it. God bless you and your family.🙏❤️ My husband had Hospice when he was dying from bladder cancer. Those people are angels!! I love Hospice!!
