Clearing Porsche Boxster Drain Holes

This is how to clear the drain holes on a Porsche Boxster and ensure that the cabin stays nice and dry! It's very straightforward and could save you a fortune - £1,500 in our case!!! If your Porsche is wet or damp inside, the chances are that it's not the hood leaking, but the drain holes under the bonnet and under the hood hatch. They're easy to clean and will leave your interior nice and dry!

There are FOUR drain holes at back. Two you helpfully have shown, and two more - one each side immediately behind door opening, to drain when the car is parked facing downhill.

Just had the same problem. After heavy rain, the roof tried to open (from closed and latched) while i was driving, and after being parked up for a bit the alarm went off. Did you get the electronics and roof fixed at a Porsche dealer or specialist?
Going up look at cleaning these drains but I fear it's too late to save the electronics 😢

That's a pain. We eventually got ours fixed at a non-franchised Porsche specialist garage. We initially asked our local garage (not a Porsche specialist) to try and fix it, but it was a complete mess - they bought a replacement control unit that fits under the passenger seat from a specialist Porsche breakers, but it turned out to be the wrong one etc. etc. and so in the end we took it to the Porsche specialist, and he was great. Much cheaper than a main dealer. The only problem being that the hood went wrong again a few months later and I suspect that that was because he hadn't quite fitted it/mended it properly the first time round, and cost us another £500. Good luck, whatever.

A real pain! My only other tip would be to be aware that the rear light bulbs are a strange fitting that are only used by Porsche, so if you buy ordinary/standard stop/tail bulbs they won't fit! 🤔😒
