@@gergelygaramvolgyi7433 the scene in the library was made for the trailer. However in the film Bogart does go to the Hollywood library for some research.
Reading the book at present before seeing the movie, but so far the book has a lot more avenues of mystery than this appears to present. Chandler (writer) was much deeper than a making The Big Sleep so romantic bound but more mystified by mankind's nature.
Wow. This came out in like, the 50s, and it’s arguably more meta then most modern trailers. I love it! It still keeps the tone without making it a joke

i was shocked for a sec after googling Bogart, I'm thinking that makes no sense, he never passed way back when because it was only mid 90's he was the star of a whole episode of Tales from the Crypt, but then turns out it was all clever tricks and a look 'a' like. Looking forward to trying one of his pictures, i am fed up with todays gritless male actors, I'm thinking, a Kurt and Burt film or two, maybe Kurt's Van Gogh one, try this Gary Cooper fella i saw in amongst an episode of Sopranos, then this guy, Humphrey Bogart, not sure what film but hopefully something gritty.

I love this Trailer and how it teases the Mystery and Intrigue of the film without giving anything away.
Movie trailers today give away far too much
You're so right, that subtle unravel! Just came here after reading the book, saw another movie of the 70's,but this is way better I presume!
Is the first part in the bookstore just made up for the trailer, or part of the movie?

Welcome to the new era of the American Film and Television History. The Platinum Age of Hollywood.

1946
1946😊
1946
This movie I saw on Turner Classic Movies was great. I feel old-school for planning to be a filmmaker and actor.
How is it going with your filmmaking career? Hopefully still going.
One of the finest movie of forties.Arguably finest of Humphrey Bogart followed by Casablanca,Key Largo n African Queen.Great direction n composition.
Brilliant, Humphry Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Because you are worth it.
Bogart should have read for the audio-book. It will be superb!
Conveniently available on 78s in this 125-disc set…
An Ai Bogart reading the book 🙌
Love bogie !! What a great actor he was
People in Los Angeles in the 1940s dressed real sharp. Why can't people dress like that today they look really cool.
Yeah I miss the all hats. Noone wears hats as much any more apart from baseball caps and beanies.
Survivor's bias.
Lawyers and teachers do 😂

No argument..we can be well dressed if we want 2..peace
Just getting into noir films for the first time and i think this is about to be my first one i watch!
A classic Bogart movie 😆
absolutely best more like a Bond movie with Bogart as the Bond
This is one of those "outdoor-cinema-films-you-watch-with-your-girlfriend-at-makeout-point"
Or boyfriend.
"I liked that. I'd like more!" 😂😂😂 so demanding. And threatening lol. But I wanna watch.
pump up the volume, pump up the volume
LOVE THIS LIBRARY
I can totally see how this inspired Blade Runner. Even the character outfits are similar.
Came because of YOU
Getting ready to read the book now 😁😁
Halfway through the book and it is mysteriousness is pretty good.
wow, it looks "Sensational!"

That's a big sleep.
💖💐💖
If you look away for an only a few seconds, you’ll miss a pivotal piece of information and not understand the whole film. Very confusing film.
The father of the big Lebowski
I can't share this trailer on facebook because they "feel" it goes against their community delusional paranoia or something like that.
Maltese Falcon Easter Egg
Eddie Mars' men are stupid. They killed their boss.

Pellicola che non mi ha entusiasmato molto, sceneggiatura farraginosa e ritmo lento.
OK boomer
The movie is a mess, with too many characters and unnecessary subplots.
