Refreshing to see someone taping up the "Loom" again to make it neat and doing a proper clean install, unlike some rubbish, dodgy installs on UA-cam👍👍👍
6:35 What you should have done is get the proper connector ends for that plug. You know since that plug is meant to handle the wiring for the power locks and windows, when the vehicle has the package. So if you ever need to take that door off, you don't have to cut the door locks' wiring.
Yeah a lot of times in the fuse box there's a empty fuse that's hot 🔥 for things like pwr locks fog lights etc... as it's cheaper to build 1 harness I simply use a add a fuse to either get power or to use a relay for the trigger. Saves lots of headaches and stress of chasing wires.
Okay you're awesome this helped me finish mine on my 99 Eclipse but I was wondering how do you tap into the turn signals to make them work with the lock? That looks like the same one I got online which color would it be does it matter?
Whats required for central door lock/ unlock swich,i know this is optional? Can the lock lever button open them as well without the extra button? Thanks for the video!
Bought a similar kit from a China supplier. Almost the same components. There is a short harness with a blue plastic disk around an LED, the harness plugs into the side of the controller. Bench hooked up the kit. No batteries in the remotes. Had a c2032 that worked. Got the main servo to work. The blue LED sometimes flashes on lock but not always. Not sure where it needs to be mounted or why. The instructions were in French. They got me an English color code translation sheet finally. Checked the voltage on the pink/black wire, only 2.5v on lock, 1.5 on unlock. Not enough to flash one side of the turn signal lights. Not necessary but would be nice to figure out how to hook it up. My 87 Volvo 740 already has power door and trunk lock servos, manual only with the key in the driver's door tumbler. Only need the main servo on the driver's door lock rod to lock/unlock it remotely. My car has power windows so I hope I won't have a clearance issue for the single servo. I'll mount the controller under the instrument panel. Should be a simple install. I don't understand the need in the instruction sheet for the "learning code" sequence or what "pins" it's talking about. 🤷♂Thanks for the video! Showed me I'm on the right track.
You run the wires to the front and rear parking lights and splice into the power wire for each. Then you run the remaining horn wire and splice into the horn. These are low amps so you don't need a fuse jump for this step. You can always install a fuse along the way of each wire if you want.
En California. Cuanto cuesta una instalación similar. Pero para 1991 Honda Civic hatchback. Para las 3 puertas. ? In California. How much does a similar installation cost? But for 1991 Honda Civic hatchback. For the 3 doors. ?
The switch is integrated with the driver side door. If you push down the lock mechanism, it will automatically lock all the other doors as well. Just no physical switch.
I Bought A Honda Del Sol That Has power Lock Actuators but I Did not get a Remote For them. Can I Reprogram another remote for the Actuators already installed?
I noticed that there are 2 red power cords, one attached with all of the other cords that has its own fuse, and one attached directly to the box itself. Which one do you use for connecting to the fuse, and what do you do with the other one if it's not being used?
What he ended up doing was not using the red Power Cord that was provided by the manufactuer, so it looks like he cut it off and decided to use the yellow with with the fuse thing he showed in the box. Im guessing he did this becuase the dual fuse thing has a fuse with power going through it so it would be uncessory to have the provided one.
clean job, what you should have replaced all the wires that came with actuators and the control unit with copper wires, as the wires this system came with are low quality aluminum wires and will decade soon.
What fuse rating did you use on the add a fuse i can’t really tell what rating does it have i can only see the existing fuse rating from the car which is 15
I don’t see how you wired the back doors in with the rest. You only showed one set of wires for front passenger and one for rear. You’re missing the wires for the 4th door. Confused…
@@ProvoBeastAudio Having this problem now, I can swap the wires for the passenger door & it reverses them, but the driver one with the master with the 5 wires if I swap the green & blue it spams locking & unlocking Any guesses? Are you kidding me??!! Not showing how to hook up parking flashes and horn? That is the hard part, only part I needed the This is the reason I had to return this exact product.
Parts used linked in the description of the video!

This would be a great upgrade for most basic work trucks as well! I have some trucks that I could do this to! :)

This is so cool! I have a Tercel and I totally want to see if this is possible to do on my ole Cheryl!
For those clip style door handles you can actually fully set the clip beforehand and just stab the handle on it will automatically seat itself
This is helping me fig this out, thanks
finally got the shot to install this on my 09

Excellent video! I would have liked to see how you wired up the lights also but thanks!
Hi, thank you for your video, very descriptive step by step.
Let me just ask you, will those actuators work on any car?
I have 94 accord. Thank you.
I remember those kind of window handles 😂 always lost the clip
Thankyou sir, godbless

im conmfused so what do u plug in into in the car to get power?
Thank you so much.

So is it possible just to use two for some standard cab trucks?
When i push or pull the pin on my car door it unlocks all doors, would i still need to put in one of those actuators in each door?
How much does the labor cost to have this done?
Any recommendations on how to do this where the driver door handle has to be pulled before you can push the lock tab down
The kit has a 20 fuse in line for power, do you keep that or bypass it and use 20 at the add a circuit?
On wires 5 and 6 what does it mean by “connect with manual”?
Me also want answer for that question what's manual?
Do we have an answer to this already
I'm interested in seeing how the park lamps get connected

Call around to your local audio shops.
Would be cool if you add the button to lock and unlock the doors while inside your vehicle instead of using the remote.
You can activate the locks by pushing the lock and unlock rod which will in turn activate the rest of the locks with this kit we used.
This kit would be better if it actually came with door lock switches
The switch is integrated with the driver side door. If you push down the lock mechanism, it will automatically lock all the other doors as well. Just no physical switch.

yeah, you can do it with any honda key fob

Could you program different remotes to this kit?
Kit itself was under $40. I doubt it

10 amps would be just fine.
I am still lost on the driver, which color is what?
Depends on the module, depends on the vehicle.

So I did mine but the lock and unlock is backwards. So lock unlocks it and lock unlocks it. Is there a way I can switch it
Yea at the actuator. Reverse the green and blue wires

I hate that nobody is explaining the wire colors. Makes me really mad just to see these videos.
How long does this process take in real time?
Took our shop 4.5 hours.
If you actually wanna prep the wires for them to be all neat and dandy, add an extra 2 hours to that.
Why don't you explain about programming any information about programming the remote?
Because the kit we used didn’t require any programming whatsoever.
Bro I just wonder why you didn't take off the whole panel to get access you would have had so much more otherwise nice job
Can you install mines
Land mines? I'll pass there ;)
Can you tap into the factory power locks? My truck has power locks but no keyless so the actuators and stuff are already good

you returned it because you wanted flashing lights.... the whole point in this is to have wireless entry not flashing lights, thats bonus XD
just talking and cuting the installation part. I would say bad tutorial
Thankyou so much godbless
