Amen: I was baptized in the Name of Jesus 2 years ago. The water had not been warmed up coz the wednesday night service was a short one but I insisted on being baptized anyways. Will always cherish this VERY COLD but fulfilling event, GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Brother Bernard! When the scripture says that he will pour out his spirit they shall prophesy, the shall see visions, they shall dream dreams!!!! Now are these also initial signs? Cause I received the Holy Spirit thru a vision without the conciense of me speaking in tounges. But I was preaching Jesus to everyone after this experience..
There's a new group.out there that's having revival I baptizing saying according to your faith I baptized you to Jesus Christ is this formula right or should it be said in the name of Jesus Christ Acts 2 38
Sorry that should be p. 263! Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume 2, page 263 - Here the authors acknowledged that the baptismal formula was changed by their church. Also Britannica Encyclopedia, 11th Edition, Volume 3, page 365 - Baptism was changed from the name of Jesus to words Father, Son & Holy Ghost in 2nd Century. Canney Encyclopedia of Religion, page 53 - The early church baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus until the second century. Hastings Encyclopedia of Religion, Volume 2 - Christian baptism was administered using the words, "in the name of Jesus." page 377. Baptism was always in the name of Jesus until time of Justin Martyr, page 389.
All the house of Isreal in Act's 2:38. Notice what must (we) do to be saved. Jump to Act's 10 and it's gentiles. What must I do? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Look deep into the Hebrew meaning of the transition of the word believe and you will see that it has origins in the word obedience. So when the Bible speaks about believing it is actually referring to be obedient. Think about it. If you see a sign that tells you to have caution ⚠️ if you REALLY believe that sign 🪧 you will be cautious. Otherwise you will just go on and take the penalty for not being obedient. Just saying. 👍
Born-again Holy Ghost filled people are spiritual Jews. Gentiles were grafted in the Bible says. "There is neither Jew or Greek, Bond or free, for we are all one in Christ."
Baptism like circumcision is an outward sign and should be encouraged in church life though not essential to have rituals to save us but the inward change of heart in Christ is necessary notwithstanding making your form of baptism in Name of Jesus Only rather than into One Triune God Father, Son and Spirit. Speaking in tongues as well is only a gift to some and not all and as well the dress codes border on teachings of men.
So far as I can see, Mark 3:28-29 seems to state that the only unforgivable sin is blaspheming against the holy spirit (after all, how could you be saved if you reject the holy spirit?!). Notice it does not mention suicide.
@@MrDoctorSchultz Any sin, big or small, that hasn’t been repented of when someone dies will cause them to be lost. Suicide is murder and repentance of it after death is impossible. Yes, those who commit suicide are lost.
@@MrDoctorSchultz Hello. The Bible says that we are not our own (1 Cor. 6). Although God has given us this body, it belongs to him. We are instructed to not defile (destroy) this body, otherwise "him shall God destroy," (1 Cor. 3:17). Once you've taken your own life, gone is the opportunity to ask for forgiveness for that sin. Not to mention "thou salt not kill" will always be a commandment, and this includes killing self.

what church are they talking about that teaches baptism in order to be valid must be done using the Name "Christ" along with the name of Jesus?

I was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. His name is written on my forehead.
I do agree with the jewish perspective as it does agree more with the grammar and biblical data
Is there any evidence that the Catholic church modified Matthew 28:19?
